Anyone else notice that the in-game 47 model is wearing flesh-coloured gloves?

I have to admit that I was initially very apprehensive of this title before purchasing. I have been a long time Hitman fan; I've been along for the ride since the very first game Hitman: Codename 47 first released for PC so many years ago and have been hooked to the series every since, from best to worst. I was initially quietly critical of the direction this game took from first impressions of the videos but after hearing the positive reviews I decided to take the plunge and play for a few days before chiming in here. I must say, this game is surprisingly awesome! The puzzles are fun and so ego es frustrating but the game really does capture the spirit of the series emphasis on timing, watching enemy patterns and knowing when to strike!

I will say that you won't get a great impression from the videos and I think it's a little hard to see the awesomeness of this title from them, but this is definitely a fun, slightly deep without being complex game! A high recommend for puzzle fans!

This game is really difficult or I am really stupid. :( I haven't gotten past 5 levels on my own without having to seek help from YouTube.

I think that some people take to these types of games better than others. I think I'm sorta average at these games. I've had to look up 1 level online through the first 25 or so. It is challenging and I replay missions a few times each before I get it though. Pretty fun!

I'm having problems with 2-10 I can't seem to figure out how to get 26 steps or less to finish the level.

    Any clues?

EDIT: Never mind, figured it out.

After playing some more, there are some things I would have liked to have been done a little different with the way the game play mechanics and how the game approaches the player. Instead of 64 or so levels I almost wish there was perhaps half as many levels but that they were much bigger in size, perhaps four or more times the size. I also wish the different gameplay mechanics were introduced a little earlier on and were mixed more to better effect. It seems that each set of levels concentrates only on a particular set of gameplay mechanics, and I wish that those elements were more encompassing rather than compartmentalized. It still doesn't change my opinion of the game, just after playing I can envision the game being a lot bigger than it aims to be, almost along the lines of a board game version of itself involving more of the franchises gameplay elements. I imagine something akin to the original Rainbow Six Games on PC, Frozen Synapse or even the old S.W.AT. games but within the Hitman universe over this (more along the lines of a tactical strategy game I guess, but sticking to the board game styling a here)!

Sorry to use this as my personal creative blog, hehe! Just sharing how I would approach a top down Hitman game...

Man, if the levels were that big, we'd need save files so we could save mid-level!

Really liking this game a lot! I was worried at first about the IAP, but it hasn't been an issue so far. I'm at the third board so far, and I love the natural progression of the levels. They are thought out very well to allow for a challenge that isn't too over the top. Hitman Go knows how to walk that fine line of fun and difficult. There were a few levels that had me stumped for awhile trying to 3 star them, but it never became an issue where I wanted to throw my phone out the window. :D

i also want to love this game, but i can't. i love the graphics and the presentation but i really just can't get over the fact it's just a puzzle. this is a case of "it's not you , it's me." where this type of game isn't my cup of tea.

i think i was hoping more for a turn-based tactical game. if you love it, more power to you! the graphics and presentation won't fail!

I played it for some hours now.
I enjoy the game so far. The game mechanics is nice. It is not mind-boggling, but it offers some variety and interesting concepts. The graphic style is interesting. It revels in its "artsyness" somewhat, because it has a mixture of nice detail and sterility. On the one hand there is not much going on and everything is extremely clean, on the other hand little additions that are purely visual are quite nice. For me it serves the purpose when all is said.

I have finished half of the game and to me the price tag is too high actually. I don't regret the fact I bought it, but in retrospect I should have waited probably.

My major problem is the fact that it doesn't feel like a Hitman game to me personally. Two reasons for that: There are no objectives that you can deal with in almost any way you can imagine. You have to play each level twice, once to finish it within a certain range of moves and another time to get a certain object or kill any guard.
And the killing of the guards is the second thing.
When it doesn't like a Hitman game due to the lack of real creativity involved to finish (since it is only figuring out the movement pattern), it should not force me to kill guards.

Do I like the game then?
As as a standalone, yes. It is a fun game. As a Hitman game though? A little bit at least.

From a Hitman series fan, loving the game. Yes it doesn't have the "action" portion, but the gameplay is basically the same, strategic movement planning. Thought I wouldn't like it, but thanks to TA community, loving it!

Not being familiar with the Hitman series, I came into this game with no preconceptions, and it's really delivering for me. Love the art style, love the playfulness (arias as you assassinate!) and the difficulty seems pitched just right.

Puzzle fans should be all over this one -- it's fantastic.

    Cheers.

Not at all what i expected but after playing it I have to say I really like it. After the first 2 levels i was thinking it was ok but after getting through the next few levels i found myself loving all aspects of the game. Its a classic trial & error stealth game. I have gotten used to the minimalist approach & find the game fascinating. You have to sit back & watch the movements to gain insight & finally make your moves. Very cool game.

While i hate the use of "3 stars" in games i really like what they did here. You can go back & get the missing one by itself & thus gain another "star" or achievement and not jeopardize the two you already have. That really helps you get the numbers you need to open the next game box.

The puzzles are great. Frustrating at times but that helps make this a great game. I have to remind myself to slow down & think. When I do I fall more & more for this gem

Why oh why did i pass by this game previously !

Bought this last night and played it a lot, its a great game, love the 'boardgame' type graphics. Very impressive. Really enjoying it, i'll buy the extra game packs for sure when i reach that point.

The game looks amazing and plays well for a puzzle style game. Very impressive.

You may have got far enough to realise this already, but the extra game pack is free as long as you've completed enough previous levels. I finally got far enough to play the new levels after redownloading and playing through the game again and it was well worth it. The new gameplay elements and enemies are great.
