This line should be included in the app description. It seems like everyone who doesn't like it are basing thier opinions on screenshots or gameplay videos. And trashing this game based on a personal hangup over the use of the Hitman name is just silly.
Or the fact that we bought it and it's nothing special. It's not that great. It's not even that challenging. It's just ok. Everyone is over the moon for this game and while the graphics are awesome, the concept is nothing new. Maybe if there were more rifles. It's just "ok I'll walk back and forth till you turn and then I'll follow" big whoop
Might as well go download Robbery Bob instead, right? # Seriously though, how far are you into the game? The game does open up as you play, as the early levels are, logically, pretty easy. It also sounds like you were looking for some more action/violence out of this game, and instead got a board game/puzzle game. Personally, while I think the concept may not be groundbreaking, it serves the game perfectly and the execution is excellent. Which is no small feat.
You should give in Yes, game is nothing new or revolutionary, but it does bring a dose of fresh air into strategy boardgames and offers an amazing experience for all your senses- art style, music and puzzles are all quite engaging. I am happy with how Square Enix uses their licensed games and translates them into mobile lately even though many others premium developers gave up. This isn't miss-use of Hitman license, it's a second best thing after real Hitman games and suits mobile environment excellent, not to mention how much gameplay you get for $5 ( also it's probably the most gorgeous looking strategy boardgame in App Store atm ). EDIT : in 3rd place for paying apps in my store hell yeah EDIT 2 : Big applause for all members of Square Enix Montreal that worked on this game , I know you're probably reading this thread , you all did an amazing job !
I'm on the last game box. "Curtains down" How do you figure the game opens up? Sorry I'm not a sycophant for the game. I speak my mind. The graphics are top notch. Some of the best I've ever seen, but so what? The game is what I'm after and it's nothing new. Robbery Bob was just an ok game, same as this one. The difference being Robbery Bob was a buck. I'm paying for design on this one and kind of stale play. I love how whenever anyway forms an opinion on here, you get jumped on. It's like a pack mentality. I don't get it. Why don't you respect other peoples opinions and explain what makes it so great? ... or you could just keep bashing my opinion.
I only responded to you because you've been all over TA today trashing this game and comparing it to Robbery Bob as some sort of backhanded insult. Any perceived bashing or disrespect is a reflection of irresponsible trolling on your part.
My opinion is that this is a great stealth puzzle game that is similar to both Spy Mouse and Robbery Bob, but with toned down graphics. That being said, 5 bucks is too much to charge for this game, but I'm glad I purchased it. Most people here seem to navigate towards deeper games but I'm probably one of the older users on this forum who remembers coming home from first grade and playing Ms. Pac-Man on my 2600.
It's number 1 on the UK games chart and number 2 on paid apps not just games. I haven't tried yet it am very tempted with all the good feedback and may buy it and for the guys bad comments a few lines up, it may just not be the right type of game for you. I'm not keen on most puzzle games but I do love strategy and chess so will likely give it a go.
