No, he was right. I got the Hodappy code. Posted it in the Hodappy thread.

Looks good to me. Dunno what everyone is on about? It's a mobile phone game. Btw, the NZ price is $6.49 + IAPs (don't know what they are though).

I think you might have misread: I said they were likely all HB codes, not HG ones. Yes, you got a code for HB from that list (and I mentioned that a page back), but I have a sneaking suspicion that so did everyone else who redeemed one. ^_-

Personally, the main thing for me in the Hitman games is the atmosphere. And a game that looks and plays like this one just doesn't convey the same atmosphere. You know what does, though? Republique hit the nail on the head with that tense atmospheric vibe. Kind of wish this had more of what Republique had. And personally I'd like to see them make a full 3D Hitman game. I'd even be excited to play a port of Hitman 2 on my phone.

Oh well, at least they were trying something new with this one. And for what they were trying to do, it looks pretty cool. Essentially a Hitman board game. Might pick it up to support their attempt at something new. Plus it looks like there's a ton of content with the hopes of more to come. So, if I can help that along with a purchase... I will.

Interesting to say the least. Sure it would've been cool to have a full fledged Hitman for iOS, but is a pretty cool concept!

I was skeptical at first, but after watching more gameplay videos it looks really, really good.Amazing art, simple and clean design , iconic Hitman music and items and 68 levels of "puzzles" to be solved. It feels kinda relaxing and tactical at same time - Square Enix did it right and used Hitman license in an excellent way for mobile market.
I know many won't buy this game because they expect full fledged Hitman port or the price is too high for them.
Well , I'm not one of them, getting this as soon as I can get a decent WiFi signal

Any impressions from a non-Hitman fan? Essentially any unbiased opinions? I'm still skeptical, but if the game is actually good, I'll probably pick it up.
Still wish we got a real Hitman game on IOS. If GTA San Andreas and KOTOR and Deus Ex can work on IOS, so can a full-fledged Hitman

I played the first seven levels because I need to hit the hay for work mañana. I'm not a die-hard of the franchise, but I'm loving the diorama theme and the strategy involved in taking out folks. However I'm not clear what the IAPs are for since no detail is provided. I sent an email to the dev to find out more. I'm really enjoying what I've seen so far.

Honestly, this game doesn't even need the Hitman license. They could've released it as a really well put together puzzle game and it'd still be awesome. The only "Hitman-y" things about it hinges on stealth game tropes that are cleverly turned in to sliding puzzle elements.

I love the way this game looks. I have no idea why it's a hitman game, tho, doesn't seem like many hitman fans will be turn-based-boardgame fans (as evidenced by this thread).

Well I always considered Hitman as more of stealth puzzle games compared to Splinter Cell, MotN, Thief., etc. Sounds like this game distills the series' gameplay to its pure stealth puzzle roots

I'm a Hitman fan and love turn based strategy boardgames :)

Like Eli pointed out, this could've easily been released with any other theme slapped on top and it would still be a pretty darn good puzzle game. Enjoying it a lot!

Any idea what the IAP's are for? DLC or consumable IAP?

Unlocking level packs you can't get enough stars for, it's a lot like how most three star puzzle game content is gated. Earn stars by doing good, or just pay to skip ahead.
