I am hovering over the "buy" button for quite some time now. Since my ipod has a camera and I love retro vintage lomo style photography I really would like to give it a shot. Does anyone who owns a new ipod with camera own this app and could upload a foto? I am curious what resolution the app will allow and what the ipod camera will be able to do. Thanks in advanced. I bought Lomora 2 some days ago and if any1 is interested I could upload a foto made with it too.
thanks mate, but as far as I see you own a neat iphone 4 with 5MP cam. Or are these pictures made with an ipod touch 4G? If yes, the results are stunning and I will hit instantly the buy button If not I think it will be tricky to get a hipstamatic ipod shot...
Ahhh, yah the ipod 4th gen doesn't take 5mp pics - so know that any cam app you buy will have low res output regardless of how cool they make it sound.
ANY? Even the ProCamera or the CameraPlus app, or are you talking only about this kind of lomography fake apps. jep, low res output is not a problem as long as I can print them out and they still look "ok" But the camera of the ipod is big crap and I wonder how the lowres lomo-fake will look like, I attach a picture taken today with sunlight in my fiance's room. and one while driving to her Perhabs the hipstamatic pics will look similar !?
Here's my advice, skip the hipstamatic and go with PictureShow. Same filters, plus way more, and all done in post editing rather than having to only shoot randomly in cam mode. Also it's only 99c. I've unlocked all the IAP content in Hipstamatic and I grew tired of waiting for the app to load, again waiting for the picture to develop, and then hoping I get a decent output. It's extremely tedious. The first two photos in my photo album were processed in PictureShow and I'm loving the finished product I get through this app. I've tried them all, Lo-Mob, Morelomo, Hipstamatic, Camera+, Photoshop, Camerabag, and this is hands down my favorite. Also heads up, Diptic is free right now, I wouldn't pass that up since I think it's 3.99 normally. Excellent framing app.
hey Cilo, many thanks for taking time and care for this case I have found a commentary on the german appstore that pictureshow is better than hipstamatic also. I probably get them both Thank you for your advice! Diptic is already on my device, great tool and a steal for free...! Here is a shot with hipsta on an ipod, quality seems really cool, isnt it? http://www.flickr.com/photos/vxt/4999328262/sizes/o/in/photostream/
I could hold my finger from the button Here is a shot with a Touch4 made by sunlight on the road. I resized it to 700x700, in the biggest size Hipsta makes 1200x1200 on the ipod
Probably one of the best monochrome films in the appstore is in Hipstamatic, also can't go wrong with the John S lens - I love the color process it puts out. I bought all the addon packs and always come back to these two with either of the Ina borders for a clean print.
hey david, i decided to buy it finally after seeing your pic. what are the settings of those pictures you posted?
hi kinnom, the first two I made with Lomora 2 and the one with the street I made with hipstamatic and I dont know the lenses anymore, BUT I havent bought a additional pack at that shot. So this one was definitely made with the standard lenses. Its a great app and so worth the 1.5€ even is the ipod cam totally sucks this app is big fun! I highly highly recommend it!
