If I were to buy any cases similar to this it would probably be just the Leica skin. That Hipstamatic case looks like a rubber boot. Although my opinion probably doesn't matter when it comes to cases as after trying a few, I find the simple Apple bumper my favorite. I'm fairly sure the intention is to look plastic, as the camera "skins" in the app are based on old plastic retro cameras.
Lol I know the backstory of the app, I have the app, I guess I'll word it differently - I don't find that Hipstamatic case aesthetically appealing and more like another way for them to merchandise the app.
I love retro cameras, so when I first saw that a while ago, I was excited at first, but it looks a bit bland to me. Awesome? yes. but they could've done a better job.
Yeah there are definitely better looking cases around. I guess I just think it's cool for being a novel bit of merch for their app, but I don't think I'd actually buy it.
