I got into a lobby finally yesterday but the host would not/could not start the match, so I left the lobby. I was unable to get into any other lobby all day, yet today I am considered a Deserter? I will receive fewer rewards now for having done nothing at all... This game is increasingly frustrating.
Hope they fix the multiplayer connection issues before december. This is one of Gameloft's flagship games, so hoping it gets fixed asap Edit: Now i'm getting errors updating or checking for updates
Yeah, I also noticed this. Could if really be that much time? Never played a MOBA before so maybe this is normal. Does LoL require so many hours of pure wins to unlock characters?
The most expensive LoL champions cost 6300 of the in-game currency. Depending on which mode you play you can assume an average around 100 or more per match. You get more for a win and you also get a solid bonus first win of the day. Riot Games also gives out free boosts fairly often (seems like it to me at least) so it isn't a terribly difficult time trying to earn a new champion to play with. Riot sucks you in with their incredibly awesome artwork on the champion skins, which is purchasable only with currency bought with real world money.
Just dominated a 3v3 PVP match, and got 500+ of those coins. I think i've found out a surefire way to win on the 3v3 maps IF the opponents dont do anything to counter my strategy. Only lost twice on PVP since i started playing HOC, and didnt lose yet since usig this strategy. I'll test a few more times before posting here.
well i played some time yesterday and today too. while the sever problems are not amusing, i have to say that gameloft did a realy good job compared to lol! for the record: gameloft seems to also give first win of the day-bonus just like lol does. did get one today, for ex. every 12 h you have a free "daily reward", also the silver-one just costs 65 gold coins, or emblems as they are called. there you have a chance to get some exp or gold boost for the next game. so i think, while it will take some time to get the emblems for your favorite hero, there are some mechanics, that helps you to get them faster. to finish my post off: i now played with almost every hero aviable, + bought 3 charas now. aslong as you know what you are doing, and know the hero you are playing, along with ingame items needed, it seems bretty mutch ballanced, imo. ....and it just feels good, when you have done it right and start to own your opponent! ;P
So far im not too impressed with game balance. Why? Because whoever gets 3 kills first usually snowballs and carries the team to victory. This doesnt happen in LOL, because on most occasions, a fed character still wont be able to fight 2 or 3 characters and come out alive. In here, there was 1 game where i outlevelled the enemies when i was Lv15 already when 1 opponent was lv8 and their highest level was 11. I even had a pentakill on that match while i was alone and went in just to test it out and for the hell of it. I have been playing MOBAs since the first DOTA on WC3 and i have to say, game balance is missing from HOC.
I think game balance is ok, as long as every one in the games has a brain. There wouldnt be this many problems with feeding and outlevelling if people tried to stop playing it like dungeon Hunter I.e Rush and Kill. Except here it's more rushing and more dying than killing. If some one on the team you are on has no brain though, you are almost guaranteed a loss so it works both ways, which is the problem. Even if you are better than all the other team put together, if some one on yours is collectively worse than they are you still lose hands down. Which is why I am dreading starting competitive games for that reason. I can see both sides. As far as character balance and skills go, it is very balanced in that regard. Even if XP gain was reduced it makes no difference, a big feeding noob will always be a big feeding noob and help the other side out more.
Somehow, I am kind of stuck in 'Checking update..' And cannot pass it. Is this some sort of a server issue?
k, first, shure, when i kill 3 opponents in a row, shure im ahead and dominating, but like in the upper post said: it IS balanced, if you not playing against idiots, who dont know to play. that was my point! and shure it happens in lol too. it did not just happend once, that i outleveld my opponents and startet to kill everyone. on the other side, it happend too, that i had nomore chance, bc. i was about 2 lvl behind. BUT, and theres my point again; there are not "as many" players in lol, who dont know what to do, in opposite to hoc. edit @visionwebs: exactly my point
Thing is, if everyone was at least decent, whoever came up ahead will always be ahead and there's no way to turn it around.
uhm, well yes! if im better than another, than im better! thats the point with mobas in generall, or any competive game....? edit: i see, what you mean. but not true in generall. for ex. was about 2 lvl behind, and managed to get ahead with good teamplay (k, one of the teammates was sitting right next to me, so that wasnt that hard to coordinate. but its shure possible! you just have to play smart and be caution/defensive. ps: sorry for my bad english....! lol
I think the thing that most people are missing so far, and it's understandable given the server problems and lack of meaningful, rated games, is that eventually you will be matched with players of similar rank. So if you are a crappy player, and you lose all the time then you will only be matched with other crappy players, and presumably the better players out there will have more competitive matchups as well.
that's not how rank is determined. The more you play, even if you always lose, your rank always increases. What the game needs is an ELO system to balance things out, so that the crappy players only play with crappy players, and the better ones with a decent opponent.
Meh.. Composed teams (you and your teammate) are always just better compared to a pub team. Have you ever seen a game with somebody way ahead that lost? Never would happen in HOC. This is like the first DOTA in which only one player, when fed, will carry the team to victory. If he cant be stopped, it's over. It gets worse if they have teamplay too.
k, i see your point. and dont get me wrong, im still loving lol, and shure its way better than this! its just, i didnt had this problem till now, never let it happen, that one was going fed that much... imo the guys were just stupid and didnt know what to do, or how to do it right. heck, most of the time my opponents dont even buy something in the itemshop! cant wait for this heroes league from wemade, thougt! hope they do better. and im shure, gl will balance things out, sooner or later if its necessary and if they want to stay on the table.... edit: when i get fed on the beginning,bc the opponents are stupid, shure im getting ahead, and so, im getting stronger. and this goes on the hole game, becouse, well, the players still dont know what to do and it just gets worse for them. and its the same in lol: when you are playing with stupid people in your team, then mostly you will loose. period.
Heroes of Order and Chaos - Thoughts? Is Heroes of Order/Chaos a good game? Downloading on my iPad, is it worth it?
You need to read the help files. Rank is indeed determined by win/loss ratio and if it works the way they say it should then what you describe will happen.
Ah/.. thanks for letting me know. But i've played pver 15 PVP matches and my status still says 0 wins, 0 losses.
