Sliterine games are not cheap but are the only games that I stay on my ipad. Panzer Corps for instance was released in 2013, I bought all expansions and still play it in 2016 almost every day.
Three single player normal campaigns....two rogue-like campaigns (I hate the term rogue-like but it's become a thing these days sigh), skirmish and multiplayer. It also looks like the ranger DLC will be available and I think the intention is to release more. Like I thought, while its great on the PC it's much much better on an iPad.
Played through tutorial & first campaign. Lots of fun. Really hope they update & add screen rotate. I really like playing with home button on left & headphone jack upper right. So far I'm having a blast. Seems like another pernament Slitherine game for my iPad.
Just reported this on the Slitherine Tech support forum for the game. Similar problem for me. iPad Air 2 with iOS 9.3.3. I've played the Tutorial missions fine. Was looking at the Wiki and while scrolling thru the German units I get dropped out of the game to the iPad screen. The game is still loaded into memory when I double press the home button. Not wanting a refund but hopefully this bug/issue can be sorted. Update: Just occurred again while scrolling the US units. Update 2: Also occurring on my iPhone 6s Plus with 9.3.3
Curry: now you say it and I am seriously considering buying. Mutton: ain't you have that police boardgame, rogue-like puzzle game and the new game about severed limbs? And tons of backlogs? Curry: like you said before, who ain't? Edit: read another review over BGG by a poster: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1612511/heroes-normandie-ios-review Seems great Mutton: who's that Edit guy?
Is this meant for iPad like their other games or is this enjoyable on iPhone too? I'd love to play it on my 6S.
Since this app is universal (I read it is for iPad PRO also) so it literally translates to running on iPhone. Since I can always seek refund, I am trying it on my 6s as I type. Edit: there you go:
Thanks. I know it's universal but these games tend to have very small units and typeface. Is it playable and really readable on your iPhone?
So to say the smaller texts are unreadable to me. May be my eyesight is not 20/20 and some says they enjoy Ascension on iPhone which I do not. I would prefer playing HoN on iPad Mini 2 but YMMV.
This game is awesome but unfortunately it's pretty much impossible to play on my 5S. The text is just too small to read on some things and after not even finishing the first tutorial I have a serious headache from trying to read it. Still after spending 23$ on it I'll have to soldier through. Any tips ? Magnifying glass perhaps?
This looks nice but how is the replayability? I'm not really a multiplayer kind of guy so in the terms of single player replayability.
According to the interview posted on Pocket Tactics website, the DLC is not there yet and it will come "soon". Update: Miller's Rangers DLC is now available for US$1.99
Just wondering, do you wear glasses? I have the advantage of really terrible vision. As a result, I can take my glasses off and see all the tiny text on games on my iPhone.
