Watching the videos out there it looks like the dungeons are all pretty small from level to level. Do they ever get huge? Are they just fairly small rooms with single character wide paths joing them? Is it just texture changes to the walls and floors to distinguish them as you get deeper or do they change greatly in some way?

Also on enemies, are there bosses? It seems like enemies change up with depth and they shoot projectiles and stuff but do they ever get so bad that just one of them is tough like a boss?

How gimped are the controls? It looks like its one button to fire and its auto aim... Or is there more to it? Or is it the button is just for the secondary weapon and its always auto fire when enemies are within range? I think I read this is a cross between gauntlet and a shmup, and i guess the controls make sense for that but it seems kind of dumbed down from being a dss.

Also I saw the two player mode is in there... Do we need ios7 and the new controllers for 2 player or is there another way to access it? Has anyone played it yet?

Lastly, what's up with all the gold/gem collecting? Do you ever get to do anything with it or see a list of how much you collected? It just seems like there's not much to do with the loot at all except when you get a power up bonus weapon or shield.

Im still in need of an iTunes card but the longer I wait the more I'm leaning towards this not having enough content to really satisfy my gauntlet itch. I think I may just play something else. Maybe 9th Dawn or Solomon's Keep.

Just seeing this game, it's certainly and instabuy for me. I love these dungeon games, does anyone maybe know of more games like this on iOS?

I have really gotten into dungeon plunder which is a rogue-like with slot machine elements that make it really interesting I think.

Orangepixel mentioned that you currently used leaderboards will solely depend on your skill. As you get better, you wont be playing in the lows anymore.

Not sure of the specifics, but that how i gather it was.

  5. Icade works really well in this game. Reg controls on ipad are loose.

I love the art style of this game but found the rest lacking. As others mentioned, the controls are too loose. Also the auto aiming is frustrating because it will sometimes shoot at a wall instead of at the enemies.

The quest objectives get repetitive and do not seem balanced. One was kill 14 enemies in 2 minutes - easy. But another was save 7 souls in 1 minute. There are only a few per floor so I don't see how that is possible. The harder quest came earlier and had a worse reward.

On my first play through I reached the max difficultly and was hoping to do the same for the other characters but it appears it is already maxed for everyone? I don't really get it and don't have much desire to play more if there is nothing more to unlock.

My feelings exactly at this point, plus I'm lucky if I can buy one useful item per run. I'm either short on cash ( and I've killed all the mobs ) or it's something that seemingly has no purpose - gems for 10 gold. Seems it could be balanced a little better.

Enjoying this a lot. Played in little chunks its just great. Brings back many a good memory of playing Gauntlet in the arcades.

Yes it's not overly deep but it's just great fun. Great little graphics, sound and epic music.

Really enjoying this devs work. Their recent releases just keep on getting better. Well done guys.

The icing on the cake would be to be able to play it with a group of 4 over wifi etc with chat and a few good boss battles thrown in. Here's hoping.

Good game but needs more incentive to keep coming back for eg. Viewable stats etc when leveling up and more loot ! (more inventory loot I.e. and not gems)

I'm not backing the boring claim, but yeah, the floaty jstick is driving me mad! At least give us the option to have it float or fixed.

It's the one thing that I find game breaking. Most of my deaths are because the damn thing has crawled out from under my thumb and I find myself unable to move while being mobbed. Hopefully updated soon.

  13. Just a quick note from myself to say thanks for all the kind audio related comments!

  14. This game is like Slayin, but with dungeons. So, fast-paced, mindless and fun.

If you want something fast as this, but deeper, try 9th dawn.

That's a pretty good comparison and also a great recommendation.
For what this is it's a fun game. I'd like a dual stick option personally.
I find that the v-pad works best when you think of it more like moving with swipe gestures than a pad. They work for me as it stands, more options are always welcome though.

    Agreed on the Slayin comparison.

On my end, I think the floating vstick would work wonders IF the characters had a 360-degree movement. I also think that that would be a good option considering the game is in a top-down/top view.

  17. Buy an icade, cause for some reason, this game plays loose on my ipad, but on icade, wow, it plays like a charm.

That just seems a tad silly, it should have the option for difficulty settings. Maybe they were trying to go for some new type of auto-difficulty feature but I just don't think it's going to work, why have multiple leader boards if you can pick which one to play.

Oh well still fun to play.

Has 9th Dawn got random maps, or is the island always the same? I like randomized maps every time I play.

Is this the type of game where if you die you start from scratch?
