I haven't done any patches since reading that MFI controls were lost. If I update to the latest will my MFI controls be affected?

 

yes MFI is not available in the new update (for now)
still looking for an MFI controller to test with so that I can keep the new engine from crashing on mfi controllers :/

 

Mad Catz Micro CTRLi is a fantastic MFI controller!

 

actually got the Mad Catz Micro yesterday... only to find out my iPad is too old to support mfi controllers :/
so for now, mfi support is a long way off unless I can find some way to remote debug it on somebody else's device

right now I added MFI support to Space Grunts, Heroes of Loot 1 and Heroes of Loot 2, and Gunslugs 1

 

I'm very happy you're adding MFI support to your games, especially Heroes of Loot. Game pads make a ton of difference in twin stick shooters. The fast pace and frantic nature of your games usually results in my hands getting lost on the touch controls and premature death. Now I will definitely be picking up Heroes of Loot 2 this weekend. I've also been very afraid to try Gunslugs, so now I can give it a go too. I already have Space Grunts, bought it on release, but haven't had the balls to play it. I will have to correct that now.

BTW, it is very much appreciated that you keep your games up to date. That always makes a difference when deciding which developers to support. It really gives me the feeling I don't have to worry about "losing" games in the ever changing world of iOS. Great job, thank you.

 

most smaller developers, like me, usually do their best to keep games alive.. sadly Apple often doesn't make it easy to keep games moving with every new ios release :/
