I find the stick works a lot better now. I'm not even sure what changed, but I'm not getting stuck with the stick on the screen edge like I was before.
The game seems easier after the update or maybe I'm just getting better. I still end up dying usually at the hands of a minotaur (?), but I can play more recklessly without too much worry. Definitely get the Lens of Secrets for finding hidden rooms and the Regen Potion for health regeneration. Once the warrior reaches about level 9-10, he seems unstoppable. Good game!
Since the update in not gaining any exp and the runes are not doing anything. If there is anything I can post to help let me know!
Why is there no help/info/directions file? Or am I missing it? I dont want to read 200 posts just to figure out how things work...
I tried various things, but I don't have the issue with the XP .. so I'll need some more info on it. I understand correctly? starting the game again it does work? Did you guys get the blue stuff and see the XP bar increase during game play? did it say 1 behind the bar or 0 ? (and did the number increase during game play?)
ye happend to me, too. Didn't got any XP on my first run on each character. had to die first to fix it. the blue stuff is floating around but the XP bar stays at 0 till u die and start a new run. Happens on every character once on the very first run. Anyways, i was rly on the fence since it came out if i should buy it or not. I bought it today and don't regret it. I have a ton of fun so far and i like that the game introducing new mechanics like switches and mobs after a couple of runs. Controls are spot on and gameplay is fluid. Good Job there, Devs
99% sure I found the bug, a quick fix update is being uploaded right now in most cases, ending the game, making sure it's out of memory, and restarting it (should show the orangepixel logo first) will fix the problem.
Maybe they function differently on different screen sizes is the only thing I can figure. It's unplayable on my 5G touch. And the sad thing is that all it needs is a fixed d-pad option to make it work by all appearances, but judging by the hyperbolic summation of people wanting a fixed d-pad ("millions of options!") and subsequent silence from the dev at people continuing to bring this up, I'm not holding my breath.
I'm playing on iPhone 5 so same screen size as touch 5 and it's far from unplayable, imo. It plays awesome. Guess u don't have any sensitivity, heh. I wonder why almost every review u will find about this game says the controls are precise and spot on. All lies, right?
Hey i'm normally fussy about controls for sure but havent had any problems with this one, plays well, completed quite a few levels. Really enjoying it
Technically, no and yes. The fact that most might do with a floating joystick doesn't change the *fact* that it doesn't work at all for me. So, calling the controls precise and spot on is only true if you hold your device the "correct" way. For me, the joystick rapidly moves completely out from under my thumb leaving me dead in the water unable to move. And it's not like I haven't logged hundreds of hours with similar controlling games and do fine, so it's the game, no question. I have died from the controls more times than I care for and have deleted the game until such time as a fixed d-pad is added. If the dev continues to ignore such a basic control option, I'll probably just request a refund and be done with it.
