This game is so cute that they forgot it also needed to be a game. I want to love it, but it is a little too 'calorie reduced' from the get go. I hate to say it but there is nothing that makes me want to play it more. Oh, and I was wondering what everyone meant about 'loose' controls on the iPad. Yeah, you definitely feel as though some jam got under the d-pad, kinda like you need to 'drag' it to make it work. I despise slider controls in all forms (*cough* seriously, NFS:MW & Captain Antarctica?!) and that is what the joystick kinda feels like here. A note to the Dev, do you not notice how tight the pad is in a game like Mikey Shorts?
Yeah, there needs to be an option to make the joystick size smaller. I think it is zoomed iphon controls so the zones are too big. So it makes it feel like a four way slider. The icade version plays sooooooo wonderfully though, fast switching instantly. Whole different game on icade.
I have to rectify my opinion about this game. At first I called it a bit stale and that it just did not grab me... After playing it a bit more , I can now say that I spoke to soon. The various humorous touches, the sound bits that are a real blast from the past, the tight controls once you get used to them make this a perfect fun time waster . Ok so the gameplay is not very deep and elaborate but that is not how this game was intended. It was intended to be fun and at that it succeeds with flying colours
For buying items on the shop and score purposes. As for the game, I made some pretty high expectations and it was a let down. Uninstalled until more content is added (don't have any progress anyways to delete, same as a fresh install, so no harm done)
First permanent features are being added : Each class can collect special, perma, items. Collect the required amount, and your starting XP level will be increased. more idea's are flowing so let's see if we can get some replay valued added for you guys!
The dev was talking about what he's working on for the update. Once some of that stuff is implemented I will be more interested in purchasing this.
yep, the update is now live! Permanent items will start showing up in various levels, once your dungeon is at full difficulty! Collect various of them to improve your character class!
Oh, no! Please don't tell me they made this another one of those horrible "grind to win" games. I applauded the initial release exactly for not having that "compulsion app" crap poured over it. Ugh... By the way, is there a possibility to make the game harder or at least add more dungeon difficulties with a future update? The first 10 level are basically a joke on the highest difficulty. They're completely trivial, boring and mind-numbing. For that they take far too long to complete (in fact, they should not even exist).
Sorry for this really noob post, but i just got the game today why isnt my character leveling up when it is supposed to do so (like in the gameplay vids posted)? Is it because of this new update with the perma upgrades? A lil help guys, thanks i dunno if it's just a bug or it's just me being a noob hehehe
All that blue stuff floating towards you is XP, so shoot a lot, and you level up. Not every character class levels up at the same speed though
Tried the new update... sigh, let me know when there's a fixed d-pad option, until then deleted. If floating d-pads work for you, great, I've only seen a handful of games get them right, and this isn't one of them.
Some of the charcaters become faster, weapons get stronger, your maximum-health increases, silly things like that
