I would also like to have something like this as it is currently irritating when I am trying to move my finger across the screen trying to get my character to move.
Yes it was my first ever run and it happened when I was just introduced to the teleporters. I used a teleporter and I think the exit said level 12
I LOVE most orangepixel games, but this one's not clicking. Love Space Grunts, probably in my top ten games, have it on steam as well! So I'm no hater at all and hope this is taken as constructive criticism. The characters travel too slow, has nothing to do with the stick size, walking room to room is slow. No map that I can see? Space Grunts has one and I love using it. Auto aim? Don't like it at all! Very janky, can't move backwards and shoot most of the time because it will default to shoot in the direction you're traveling. Please give us a twin stick option. On the stick, floating is okay... But a customizable fixed stick that I can drag to a perfect position works best for me. It's too easy, just hold a button and move around the room, my only real deaths so far are from traps. On traps, sometimes they spawn behind posts, also had a "bomb giving door blow opener- thingy" spawn behind one and only found it by accident. I understand that maybe unique generated levels may do this time to time? Also the default is too dark, but I've seen that's in the update. The bosses are fun because you actually have to dodge around a little bit, the rest seems to be hold button and walk slowly around with zero map to help aid in searching the previously explored level/floor. Need to find that gate that needs the bomb you just found? Backtrack slowly until you see it again. Then when you do placing that bomb does not work very well, and you might have to go back and pick up another bomb to try again. Overall the whole game seems a little rushed, hope a few of these things can be fixed and make it a top tier game right along my beloved Space Grunts! All in all maybe it's just not for me, glad I bought it! Happy to support orangepixel, as I've got a ton of hours enjoyment out of their work over the years!
No not even close, not very fun IMHO, as of now I'd rather open Space Grunts. No hate, glad to support Pascal, most ARE home runs! This just doesn't seem to be my style and that's okay #
Is the option IN options for a Fixed stick? There are 2 options one that moves, one that doesn't. My issue is the "fixed" stick isn't how I hold my iPad so doesn't work for me.
Cool, just curious as you said it was too easy, and I thought that meant you just held down the button and beat the whole game
The icon, with full game name spelled out, is perfect as it should be for me. Must vary on different device types. Ipad mini2 here..
This! Highly constructive criticism and I couldn't agree more. The game definitely needs a map. Maps are essential to navigating dungeons. Also the issue with movement pace needs to be addressed as characters move way too slowly. Addressing those two things would be a great improvement.
actually there is a map in the game, but not on ios right now.. I had some performance issues, but I think I can turn it on for the next update with some tricks.. so it's coming!
I have tried both settings. They seem identical to me...any time I take my thumb off the screen and put it back down, it relocates to my new position. I mean a d-pad like you would have on hardware. You know, a responsive d-pad icon with a graphic that remains in the same spot regardless of whether I take my thumb off the screen.
think I'll need to change the fixed-stick. Right now fixed-stick means it stays fixed on your first touch where the non-fixed stick tracks your fingers movement (like it's on the other end of a string) fixed should probably be 100% fixed.. or just a 3rd option, I'll see
no Elf and Valkyrie are the faster characters, Wizard and warrior are slower.. there's a lot of balancing done in the last weeks to find a sweet spot so if you want running, pick the Elf!
After all these nit picks and 1000 other things you have to do, will we maybe get some new characters?? I know you have tons of other things to do already ! =p
Yeah, I was really taken back by the lack of map, especially after watching the initial teaser trailer.. I thought that was a mapping system being shown within the trailer.. I'll be honest, I bought this primary FOR the map.. I LOVE maps.. Damn, we sure are a nit-picky bunch, verging on coming across as overly entitled.. I sure hope he knows this is constructive criticism and that if we did not like/love the game, we would not be in this thread to begin with! Edited : nice to see that the steam version has a map and that it is coming to IOS in an update.
Lol, it's true I suppose! I love it, only issue for me is controls. Like a bonehead, I failed to look for a brightness setting in the app....solved my problem, looks great now. And I've been gaming since Donkey Kong was in arcades! Can't believe I didn't think to look.
