Sorry, I should have been more clear. In this thread there are posts that refer to "sluggish controls" on the iPhone but are not regarding the iPad or iPad Mini: 1)The floating left stick feels sluggish and easy to "lose" and sometimes makes the characters seem to move slowly and get stuck around corners...not precise enough; 2) the lack of a right stick and auto-aim are less "arcade-ish" and not as fun or action-packed. The first one was a joy to zoom around the levels while aiming and shooting.
OK I know I'm being a total pain in the ass here, but...the pause button in the center near the bottom is so much bigger to scale than anything else, it sticks out and feels in the way
I had no idea the first one let you aim... I thought it was just a button for auto-attack... Ima have to go back and check that out later...
It doesn't work on mine either @OrangePascal: by clicking everywhere I was able to begin a game. One thing that happens is that if I move my thumb up, the dot indicating the movement moves right, if I move it down, the dot moves left. It's like if the axis were wrongly programmed. I hope this gives you a clue towards fixing the bug, because I really want to play this game.
for mobile's there's a little code that shuts down those extra things if the game starts to drop frames.. some other stuff also get's turned off when framerate drops just so the game experience stays smooth as possible
yeah that does give me some indication.. does the dot start at the right spot where you touch it? so if you touch bottom-left or top-left corner, where on the screen does it render the virtual stick circle?
first one had the exact same controls , since I copy+pasted that code so it's weird how gameplay adds to the control problems
I had a fixed stick, and the dot rendered at the center of the circle independently from where I began putting my finger. The screen touch detection seems to be displaced to the left and turned 90 degrees. I've been able to tamper with the options, but I can't click on "back" because with the current bug, the position to click on that option would be at the bottom left, below the screen itself (around 1cm out of the screen).
Seems the price has increased already. I thought the sale went to Saturday. No big deal, there are few developers I'm as happy to throw a buck at as this one.
ok but where is the white-area of the stick shown? is it exactly where it should be? (touch and hold to place it at the fixed-position) should be exactly where you touch the screen.. if that work's we're halfway there!
Some more info about that bug! To Start the game, the Play button is located between the right chest and the big "L" from Loot and the Option is located at the left chest. Also about the stick position : the diagonal from bottom left to top right is fine. If you touch the bottom left, the stick is right under your finger, same with top right. But the other diagonal is inverted : you touch the Pause button, the stick appears under the character icon, and if you touch the character icon, the game pauses. I hope that helps.

Think I got it, there's indeed a 90" degree rotation bug on ios7, not just a vertical-axis problem. Next version (1.0.4) should have a better solution to this!
Heroes of Loot 2 (by Orangepixel) @Pascal, just encounter a serious bug, progressed to level 10, when I went into the exit to head to level 11, game hard crashed. When I reopen it allows me to continue but crashes instantly. Haven't tried starting a new game yet, but this sucks, I was doing great! sadly there seems to be a weird bug that can sometimes crash on a new level.. I'm trying to figure out what or why, but right now there is no fix for it other than start a new game (continue game will simply regenerate the crashing level) :/

The update with Map Overlay is live... ..and, oh does it take the game to the next level.. Definitely my favorite game right now... The Map Overlay shows when you have completed rooms by changing color... So, no frustrating running around in circles anymore.. The map does not show you where health capsules are located like in Space Grunts, but it seems pretty efficient so far.. I was able to find a secret room by looking at the Map Overlay..
