It’s not bad but it’s doing nothing that we’ve not seen many times before and better - standard stuff hero plus towers with upgrade cards collected via chests with timers. The graphics are basic but they do the job but there’s no option to zoom out which makes it feel cluttered and doesn’t give you the option to see the whole playing field at once, and in addition to that you don’t seem to be able to scroll around without moving your hero. I have 3 starred everything up until that point but a couple levels did require me to redo my strat which I love. There is no energy which is a huge plus! So you may retry a level as much as you want. However, there is a soft energy system in the chests. You get chests for beating levels. There are 4 slots and you can only unlock 1 at a time or pay the premium currency to unlock right away. So far the chests are 3 hours and 6. If this game was premium, it would be amazing imo. The thing bugging me at the moment is I can’t really play anymore or I lose out on the chests.... I could burn through my free currency but don’t really want to. As far as what it brings to the TD genre, the way you move the hero around is unique. At first I did not like it as you can only see the part of the map he/she is on but now I actually kind of like it. The hero plays a big part. Also note- the hero moves around super fast. The game also has it’s own look. It doesn’t look like KR The animations are nice and the levels look ok. Not super but decent. The game looks to have a gazillion levels bit it is hard to tell exactly until The first area is cleared. There also looks to be a lot of different towers and heros too which is nice. It really males me want to keep playing to unlock more but again..the chest system stops me from doing that. I will chime in after I play more tomorrow but I definitely recommend giving it a try if you like Tower Defense!!! Even trying different tactics, the levels are getting very hard. I have not spent any money. Chests timers are a real bummer and will likely kill this game for me. They re-use the same level layouts a lot. Not a huge deal. I can’t seem to do as well without the main knight hero. I’d like to try others but they just don’t seem as good to me.
