wow so downloaded this on my iPhone since already got on iPad and tried it and it doesn't even work, you pick your character and then it stuck on the screen where you equip stuff and put your stat points in. Like the pictures Sanuku posted. now REALLY disappointed

Buggy broken game, pay to win, and greedy developers. Avoid this one. Uninstalled and requested refund ASAP.

The last 24 hours have been a real crazy experience for us. Reading some comments left us a bit in shock but it all made sense thanks to you guys.

We admit, we messed up! We are so sorry for letting you guys down.

    So what happened?

We focused our attentions on the iPhone 4,5,6 and iPad resolutions, testing the game crazy amounts of times on each device to try to iron out all the bugs we could find.
We overlooked one device: the iPhone 6+ Plus! We are a small team on a tight budget so please forgive us for not having the adequate resources or equipment to test on every device. Once we saw that the iPhone 6+ had such a major bug, which we completely missed, we honestly felt ashamed.
We have since release been frantically trying to figure out why Unity 3D works differently on the iPhone 6+ in comparison to the other iPhones and iPads.

A fix is on its way. We went out and borrowed an iPhone 6+ from a friend to try to fix it as soon as we could. We luckily have fixed the issue and an update is on its way!
Please guys, if you have an iPhone 6+, please wait for the update to fix this bug. Apple should approve this in the next day or so. We have made a request to get this approved asap.

So what’s up with the in-apps and how does this affect Heroes Curse gameplay?

We have not limited the game in any way or locked items specifically to in-apps. All swords, items and skills can be unlocked within the game without buying a single in-app purchase. We did not want to make Heroes Curse a game where players would complete it as soon as possible. It will require leveling up and many hours of hack and slashing, finding items in crates and defeating monsters that reveal currency and more loot to upgrade your character of choice.
We believe having the ability to unlock all players at once would detract from the actual gameplay and overall experience. It would be impossible to play all 3 players at one time. We tried to make it personal where players would focus on their one character and rank him/her up to the most max level with all items. Hopefully by then it would justify the purchase of one of the other two locked save slots. The middle character slot is unlocked and players can choose their character via this save slot.

But as a gesture that we do care and to say we are sorry we have decided to unlock one more free save slot as a way of thanking you for patience during the bug.
Players now have two Free save slots within the game. Will be available in this update.

We do not want to rip you guys off; this is no way ever our intention. We love TouchArchade and support it via Patreon and appreciate all the comments and work you guys put into making the forums a trusted place for apps. We are sorry for this issue, we truly are.

If there is anything more we can do to make it up to you guys please let us know.

Any support would be truly appreciated as it means the world to us to know we made something great, which you guys will enjoy.

Thank you Noxus, I feel much better about the game now having read that. I just have one more question: why is it free on android? Do they have more iaps?

I Love devs who comes out and explains everything and clear all doubts. Sadly, I owned an Iphone6plus so I will be adding this game to watchlist and will buy in after the bugs is fixed.

As for the pricing, it will be great to explain if there is any content differences between android free tag and this one :)

Can't blame devs for trying to make money, but it's a slippery slope when they start mixing premium and ftp pricing. Feel bad for these guys, new games litterally get one week in the sun before the ADHD iOS market looses interest. Unfortunately, no amount of remorse or good intentions can overcome this limited window of opportunity to correct a launch fumble. Then again, the broader iOS community is far more forgiving than the TA crowd. I'd say, unless they're in the pipe for an AppStore spotlight, first priority is to kill the premium, asap.

Difference between Android and iOS prices.

Android app is Free with Adverts. IOS app is Paid with no Adverts (of course)
Basically we can only base our actions on what we know. So basically here we have our download records for one of our games MATE for Android.
(As you can see they are not very high. We haven’t retired yet from the dream that is striking it rich on the app store. This just is not the case. Trust us when we say it’s a struggle when you are an indie developer. Devices cost money and so do licenses for programs).

Amount of downloads for MATE from day one of sales:
Paid version: 226 (for anyone wanting to do the revenue math’s on this you will be shocked: £1.49 sale price - Google percentage of share).
    Free version: 20,105

This is why it was logical for us to go with a free version for Android. From what we read and what we experienced, it became clear to us that having a paid version on Android would not be good at all. Free with Adverts seemed to be the common solution for Android users. Somewhat the norm.
I guess with all the fake games on the Android market players do not wish to pay before they play, as there is no guarantee that what they are buying is real, compared to iOS who verify all games before sale. We could be wrong, we might be right, but that was our thinking on the matter.

So why then did we put Heroes Curse on iOS as paid?

This again links back to what we believe the market wants. Instead of your typical free to play with in-apps that limit the game, we wanted to portray, by adding a price that Heroes Curse is somewhat a premium game which is no reliant or limited by in-apps in any way.
We watch everyday how the market is swamped with masses of free to play games and many comments even on this forums and thread show that being tricked into thinking you are getting a free game which only later you have to pay for things is not the way to go.
Our game like I said will not force you to buy anything to progress. All items can be obtained within the game; just not in the first 10 minutes of playing it. It will take ranking, time and playing Heroes Curse to advance. But at the same time we know a lot of people do not like waiting or investing a lot of time but want instant top levels, so for those players we left the option of in-apps for those who do not want to play for hours on end and want to rank up quicker to impress their friends etc.

    What more can we say.

That's fair enough, I'm more than happy to pay for no ads and if the game is completely playable with no extra iaps then that's even better. I'm sorry I was a bit harsh on my initial impressions, but I'll play more now that that's cleared up, thank you :)

    Noxus,

Thanks' for the reply. It's always a good sign to see a developer stepping up and responding so directly to their customers. It helps with the trust issue.

Being one of those impacted by the 6+ bug I look forward to the update and will reserve my feedback on the game for when I can play a working version. Good luck,

It takes a lot for a dev to step up and take responsibility for something. As a former Android user I left Android last year and came to iOS because of more and better games and the fact that there are most definitely numerous fake games out there in Google Play. The dev is definitely correct that most Android users just do not want to buy games for one reason or another.
For $2 I'll support you guys!

I was curious until I realized all the freemium aspects I play enough of those. But I want a gamefly but for iOS games. Monthly payment and stream any game for as long as I want or maybe not as long as I want maybe you pay monthly then "rent" games which lets you play it for 2 days or so then it's unavailable for 30 days or you can pay full price and buy the game it's like gamefly mixed with old school game and video rental places like blockbuster

Wow! So after reading this from the developers I went ahead and bought the game. Seriously with this kind of honesty I'm definitely supporting them. And yes I have an iPhone 6+. Also and iPad Air 2 so I'll still be able to play. Great respect to your players!

    Update Released

    Hey everyone,

    Apple Users:
Apple has finally approved the bug fix update; the update includes the fix for iPhone 6+ users.
The UI bug should now be gone and the game can be fully played.
Please check your devices for the latest version or re-download from store as needed.

    Android Users:
The update has been out for some time now, there are reports that crash happens on some older devices and we are looking into this. Currently the game supports over 9 thousand Android devices, so chances are some devices will not work as expected, but of course we reading customer feedback and looking into issues.

We had some good feedback since the game has launched and made a list of things for the next update, this will include small bug fixes and game play improvements, so stay tuned for this.

Once again thank you for your patience and support.
    Enjoy the game :)

Nice to see the devs so active in here. I didn't know the issue was just with the 6+. Downloading the game now. I'll leave impressions later on today

I am not pleased. I downloaded this last weekend after reading the developers post about fixing bugs and whatnot. I'm on 6+ so the game was of course unplayable, but I knew that.

Today the fix for 6+ bugs was released so I tried playing it. It didn't go well.

First problem I encountered was with the potions. Tapped on the heal potion, 1 potion was subtracted but no health was returned. Did this three times until finally the fourth time worked.
Edit: I figured out that there are two buttons for each potion type. One button scrolls through different sizes of each potion and the other button activates it. i may have been scrolling instead of activating. These buttons are very close to each other and that makes it very hard to quickly tap the use button before you die.

Second problem, at some point, not sure why, my character froze up. I could still move around the screen like a statue but couldn't attack. I moved my statuesque character around avoiding enemies until I found the end of the level. Started the next level and the character was moving properly again.

I also don't like the controls. They don't feel very smooth or accurate. Game play is kind of silly. You walk towards an enemy repeatedly pressing the attack button, there is no hold to attack option, then you run away from the enemy until you have enough distance to run at them again repeatedly pressing the attack button. The control stick is both your move and aim controller. It needs auto aiming or something. The controls aren't precise enough to be able to change targets in the middle of fighting so if you get surrounded you're screwed. I was hoping for something cool here, but it seems to need more then bug fixes to be worth playing any further.
Edit: There does seem to be an auto aim feature but you have to be almost on top of your target for it to take over the aiming. You can get maybe one shot off before you have to run away before you get hit by the enemy. With more then one enemy on you, this turns into a ridicules game of tag between your character and the enemies.

playing the archer class it feels weird I can't move back and shoot so I have to keep getting close to enemy and getting hit. and also after a bit my character is still moving but no animation and can't attack so I had to just skip past monster and go straight to the end.....
