You start in a village with the usual shops, then go to a map to select level. Each level has four difficulties; Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Insane. The movement controls work well, v-stick. The attack button seems to have a very slight delay, and it could definitely use a dodge button. The combat, at least at this very early stage (I'm only lvl 2) kinda feels like I'm hacking away at them with a butter knife. (EDIT: After spending skill points, combat feels tons better) I managed to die and use a healing potion right after, though of course it didn't help. Pay gold to respawn there, return to town or retry. There are other iAPS, a 'Boost EXP' and Gems, but I cant see what for/how much at the minute. With lvl up, you can put points into your stats. There's 5 equipment slots. You do get skills, but there's doesn't appear to be any choice between them. I'll edit in some more when I've played more. Vras New Member Nov 11, 2015 2 0 0 #7 Vras, Nov 11, 2015 Buggy with IAP's I'm running this in an iPhone 6+ with iOS9.0.2 and can't get the game to play. I'm wondering if a test version was accidentally uploaded to the store. I can load the game, create a character, but then the game glitches and I'm frozen in the character inventory. Can't find a way out. Also, I appear have maxed out cash, stats and attribute points from the get go. Wondering if anyone else is having issues? Also, word of warning...this is a paid game with IAP. Two types of currencies, gems and gold. You have to pay for extra character slots (you only get one) and extra inventory. I have not been able to actually test the game play, so I have no idea if it's any good. I'm really hoping this was an accidental early release. I'd stay clear until we know more. houseofg Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Oct 1, 2013 1,611 82 48 #8 houseofg, Nov 11, 2015 Looks a lot like Dungeon Quest to me. Hambo12 Well-Known Member Jul 23, 2012 1,943 28 48 on the internet #11 Hambo12, Nov 11, 2015 ugh you guys know how much I love rpg and hack and slash games but this game is so buggy. first it's 1.99$ from the get go, there is 3 characters to choose from but only 1 slot, if you want more slots it's another $1. really disappointed with the gameplay as well feels laggy for some reason. sad cause the other game Miika they made was really good. Avatre Well-Known Member Apr 30, 2013 416 0 16 #12 Avatre, Nov 11, 2015 I'm playing on iPad Air and haven't had any problems with the game running, from a technical point, it runs smoothly. It does feel like a freemium game in quite a few aspects, all its really missing is the energy timer, to be honest. Combat is basically stand in front of them and swing your sword, and run out of the way when the enemies are using skills (red marks on the floor etc). Based Xatu Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2013 1,937 0 0 #13 Based Xatu, Nov 11, 2015 Sounds like this will go free to play. Wizard_Mike Well-Known Member Mar 17, 2011 1,294 0 36 Texas #14 Wizard_Mike, Nov 11, 2015 The $1.99 up front plus $1 for each of the two extra character slots isn't really a bad thing. Just imagine this as a $3.99 game (which judging by the artwork, seems like it should be at least worth the cost of a cup of coffee), but you don't have to pay the full price of you only want to play one character. The mobile gaming market is extremely cutthroat, and developers have to come up with ways to decrease the initial cost in order to gain more downloads. I think that moving a couple of bucks off of the purchase price and over to the character slots is a reasonable solution. THAT BEING SAID, the comments about the other IAPs so far does make this sound like it's built around the typical freemium model, so it sounds like this might be one of those "let's launch our freemium game as a paid app at first and see how we do before dropping it to free." I don't mind paying the initial 2.00 then a 1.00 more for each character slot. One deserves to be compensated for their time. What I don't like... Hate actually.... Is energy timers, dual currencies, gems in a game that has an initial pay up front to download. I don't know what the solution is but I seriously no longer look forward to game releases on the iOS like I used to a few years back. I loved games like Dead Space, Nova, Dungeon Hunter, Space Miner, Bug Heroes... You bought them outright and they were yours. No spending 20.00 on 50 gems to go to a lottery to open a chest for 10 gems to HOPEFULLY land a 5 star out of 5 character. You almost always land a 3 star. After spending 20.00 you'd have like 4-5 three stared characters... You might have one or two 4-5 star characters after 40.00-60.00 is spent and THEN if you want good gear you need another type of gem for a weapon chest that needs 10 gems to open... You end up spending 100.00 and then you out level you prem character/weapons and your basically back at zero. It's sickening. I know it started because it was considered insane for a mobile game to cost more than .99. Which is a shame. If you put out quality product and it's fun to play I'm blown away by how many people think it's crazy to pay 10.00, 20.00, 30.00 plus dollars for a high quality game. If done right these games can provide hours and hours of entertainment and prob took a good group of people to put forth significant time and effort to provide that gaming bliss and they deserve to get compensated. Now whenever I see a new game in the release section there's a good chance it's free to play and no matter how much money I sink into the game I'll never own it. I'll never be able to have the option of timers, 4 different forms of cash to go away. It just turns me off.
