I tried that and can't say I saw that happen. I'll do a replay of some lower level where I know there are singles I can concentrate on. Losing focus in a swarm is way too easy. I can tap very precisely with the stylus and it's easy to see the target changing when your hand is above the screen rather than on it. The other issue is knock back. Hating that power and it's currently stuck on three of my items. Knock back includes a move forward animation and that could be affecting my attack combo timing.
Just a few things i wanted to let the devs know is that sometimes the game freezes and all you can do is close the app from the multitask bar and when starts the sound is playing from the old session and crash again so you have to close the game two times, also the game's notifications doesn't make any sound at all and for last i think there is a graphic bug in the screen that shows after you press quest complete that shows how many gold you collect during the quest etc for example is you have 500 gold and during the quest you get 500 that would be 1000 gold in total but it looks like that in that screen the gold is added again so you get like 1500 and when you go to town you have is 1000 gold that is the correct amount the same goes for the gems and scrolls Like other user mentioned the slider to zoom in and out is not working properly although it works is you do this, move the slider to the desired location and without releasing it press the back button Also the equipment does have small changes in my case i have noticed in the design of the sword and shield The game in general is really great and to have something like diablo in ios is very satisfying too bad that the devs choose the freemium way that i dont like to support at all. I just hope the really consider release two version the free and a premium one for 5$ or 6$
Actually i enjoy the game. This is the game that i would pay to get the full version. I just finished quest 4 and didnt spend any money for iAP, cos i didnt feel i needed to. The waiting time is kinda sucks, but i take it positively;1. I dont Have too much time to sit down and play games;2. While waiting, i can play other games that i have. Which skills do you prefer to upgrade? I dont want to put points into skills which in the end not very usefull
First of all, I have to say I really love the game despite th freenium model. Definately one of the better Diablo-clones on the iOS. I'm level 9 (about 11 quests in) and also haven't felt a compelling need to get any IAP. I just wait for the next quest. But I also have been getting a lot more freezing forcing me to kill the app. This is paricularly frustrating when I'm very far into a mission. It's happened four times so far on the graveyard quest. Hope the devs can fix this,

Awp, we're digging into the 3GS crashes at the moment. We'll definitely have a fix in submission soon.
So what's the verdict? Is this game the closest I can get to the Diablo 3 experience on my iPhone? or would you guys recommend something else instead?
conceptually yes, but its very slow, it is free so its hard to not recommend if your looking for something like diablo. I would recommend Solomon's Keep, which is also free
I tried the game because it was free. I read all of the comments first and really want to give it a try on my own. However I can understand most of the critics here. First of all the character movement is way to slow - for me. I am getting really impatient... And of course the waiting time. I would prefere to buy a single IAP to get rid of that. Right now I cannot enjoy this game because of these two facts. Graphics and Gameplay is nice though.
Tips plus IB2 Link Hello, all! This morning, I just reached Level 13. The game most definitely gets tougher with each level. With that said, here are some tips: 1. There are two places that I would recommend to farm: The Auction and The Monks of Seraph (dungeon 1). What I love about these areas is that the enemies, gold, and equipment drops are proportional to your level. So, you may find that coveted piece of equipment simply by playing these two dungeons. 2. When purchasing equipment, you should buy equipment that increases your chances of getting a health orb. As an example, my shield, armor, helmet, and leggings each increase my chances of getting a health orb by 14%. So, when I crack open a barrel or treasure chest, I have about a 1/2 chance of getting a health orb. 3. After you get health orbs, don't use them unless you need them. So, let's say you enter a new area that is surrounded by bad guys, make sure YOU do not get surrounded (the shield bash is a great way to clear a path). Then, backtrack to where you have the health orbs to replenish your health. Also, if you allow yourself some time between fights, your health replenishes automatically. 4. When you encounter a group, take out the archers FIRST. Not only are they the easiest to kill, but they also shoot arrows at you that slow you down. Knocks them out of the way first. 5. To beat the giant trolls, wait until they do their super move. They will take a few seconds to do this move. Move away from the troll so you do not get damaged. Then, attack them, and move away when they are about to do their moves again. 6. Concerning swords, use a sword that (a) has a high attack rate (my present sword has an attack rate of 60-75) and (b) stuns the enemies. Just my two cents, Frisbee10461 P.S. For the poster who wanted to read about co-founder Donald Mustard of Infinity Blade II talking about sacrificing quality for money, here goes: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/01/chair-on-infinity-blade-2-development-crunch-it-sucked/
Good suggestions. I actually do a lot of the same things (I'm level 10 currently). Definately found that you've got to take out any long-range attackers (archers, mages, etc.) first. I think it's a little unfair that pretty much NEVER miss so if you're battling other guys, you continue to get your health bar going down from the long-range attacks. I also always leave health orbs. And when I get a group of monsters following me, attack a few then make a run for it back to where the orbs are. If you get caught in the middle of a horde and don't get out, you're dead. As far as farming, think I'll have to do what you mentioned about using the first quest. Didn't realize that the loot scales to your level. It really is a great game. And I don't even mind the wait times anymore (just play other things). Only thing I'm not happy about is the occassional freezes. Happened like 5 times on a level and sucks, especially if you're far in, to have to start it over again.
Up to level 7, and partly being held back by fairly regular crashes on an iTouch 4G. Reboots don't help. The map when you're about to hit level 8 - Body Thieves 3 I think - has just dropped out on me three times in a row. Sigh. Going to have to sell a kidney and buy an iPad 3 at this rate - hey, perhaps I'd have some money left over for IAPs! I am enjoying it, though I wouldn't call it great, and my main issue remains the same; freemium doesn't really offer the player that much, other than the option to try-before-you-buy. It's a reasonable, but hardly spectacular Diablo/Roguelike that isn't giving me that much gratification beyond tapping on things and seeing them die. I appreciate there's more to the game (30-some levels, right?) but so far I'm pretty much seeing the exact same tileset, a handful of monster types (some pretty much palette-swapped), I'm getting no significant feedback on my gameplay choices beyond some sparkly lights (for power moves) and my character not dying. Other than being swarmed by mobs and having to run away every so often (I haven't really been grinding) there's not much sense of progress. It's definitely good - it works fairly well, despite some control issues, there's some reasonable gameplay features (liking the way the moves work, liking the tap to combo) and it's pretty atmospheric given the format. There may only be one real tileset so far but pulling the camera out does give the action a decent epic fantasy feel. I even quite like the little story snippets - they don't really have much to do with the mission, but kudos to whoever penned them. But so far the game just doesn't feel deep or reactive enough to warrant spending a fortune on IAPs (as the devs are plainly hoping some people will). I'll keep going, but I have other things I could be doing, and I'm not going to bother waiting out a timer for much longer if things don't change up and/or the iPod keeps falling to its knees.
I've tried with the combo and without, and honestly, it doesn't seem to make the much difference. W/o the combo, your damage still seems to build for each attack.
Wait 5 minutes, wait 10 minutes, spend real money on IAP to speed things up, etc. No, thanks. I'll pass on this...... Thought this might be good........
Exactly! I feel the same way 100% and that's why I've spoken out in the past, also, to help facilitate change!
It's good if you have a busy lifestyle, or if you have other games to juggle this game with. Or if you have lots of money to spend on the game's ridiculous quest wait times. It's the only thing holding this game back from being a great game.
Yes, I'm one of those with little enough time to play games as it is, so the wait times, while annoying, haven't been bothering me as much. I have plenty of other games to play while waiting. The crashes on my 3GS, on the other hand, have been a pain. They don't happen all the time, but when they do happen, it usually happens to be far enough into a level to really tick me off. Overall though, I agree that the main thing holding the game back is the wait-times or IAPs to bypass them. Perhaps it's just my fixation for finally getting a somewhat decent Diablo-clone that's made me be more forgiving. I hate the business model, but I'm having fun and muddling through it. Usually I might buy an IAP just to support the developer of a good freemium game, but I'm having trouble justifying it just on principle of the way these were implemented.
