Wow, the people who get so angry because a game is too hard, imagine if you were trying to put people in space and your rocket blew up. The reason we look for entertainment in games is because the stakes in real life are so high.
^The balance of difficulty in this game, is what made it one of the best games on the market right now. Kinda like how Monster Hunter became a sensation. Those who can, LOVE IT. Those who cant, ends up either trying hard til they can, or retardedly say this is a 1-star game. Foursaken, this game of yours will stay forever in my iThings, maybe until you make a sequel which is bigger, badder, and better. But for now, this game is a winner.
If I was trying to put someone in space and the rocket I made blew up, rest assured I would be angry. I've said more than once that I'm not angry that its hard, I'm angry because I suck. When I play games, I play to compete...be it against the AI, against a leaderboard, against a human or against myself. We don't all have the same reasons for doing what we do. I appreciate your perspective, but I am not you.
Of course, the only thing that could be better than this game would be a 3D version of Bug Heroes, hint, hint, plead, beg...
The ranger really is loads of lots of fun. He brings a good deal of the kind of twitch-based combat I felt was missing from the personal battlefield action of Heroes & Castles. Dodging arrows while raining piercing, stunning, slowing, splitting arrows down upon skeletal longbowmen is now an official sport in the Kingdom. It would be doubly nice to see a melee-focused hero based on the same principles (nimble and quick, high damage output, relatively skill-based combat, fewer support abilities in favour of special attacks and passive character boosts). While it is exceedingly nice of you to offer new heroes potentially for free, Foursaken, I'd gladly pay good DLC cash for more heroes, Bug Heroes-style, once free updates start ot make less economic sense. Curiously, Bug Heroes had the exact same effect on me. And while N.Y. Zombies 2 and Sky Gnomes aren't quite as indispensable to me as BH and H&C, they've stuck around on my device for quite some time. It is almost as if... the same guys are making all these games! Make that a new version with online MOBA-inspired gameplay but with the considerably more twitch-focused dual stick combat of BH (and all the other mechanisms of the original), with both arena co-op and PvP, and base co-op and PvP, and we'll have ourselves an entirely new e-sport brand for iOS...
I think once people unlock all baddies during campaign play, and practice in siege mode, there's going to be some great battles out there.
Versus is cool but I know we all want to fight our main heroes character castles vs other heroes castles. Paladin vs knight etc. Any chance of seeing that? I kind of feel like the evil side is at a severe disadvantage, altho I only played siege mode w the evil side. I really don't think any evil side in vs could ever beat my paladin and his castle.
Hero vs hero versus mode would be great. I'm sure somebody will get very good at playing the bad guys.
Is it normal to have a level 27 Paladin with only 1.0 run stats? Or is it a bug? Basically the paladin can't run.
Archer is great fun! Landing a long ranged hit is very satisfying. Actually, every hit is satisfying, more so than engineers' cannon - i think its because the 'weak' impact noise etc suits an arrow, whereas the cannon doesn't sound/look strong enough. Minor gripe though - fave iOS game ever. What do you think about changing the Archer arrows to shoot after releasing the attack button - so a press and hold instead? Gives you time to aim and feel more archer-ish!
Also would be good to have higher damage for headshots - for all ranged heroes. Am sure this was mentioned way back, think it would give a good risk trade off spending the time to line up a shot, or just firing away.
I'm so far undefeated I have not lost playing evil but I'm sure I will soon, I had a guy bum rush me lets just say i did some upgrades and he died very quickly.
Interesting point. Still think bonus damage for headshots would be cool - so taking the time to line up an extra long range headshot would be the ultimate pay off. Legolas fantasies complete!
