Co-op is unplayable . Constant disconnects. or everyone just stops moving and nothing happens. I havent been able to finish a single game since I the patch /sad panda. Otherwise I do love the game
Freezes Like the update and new content but i wish you would have focused on the crashes and freezing first. As it is I have not been able to finish one single co op so far and most vs games as well. Game keeps freezing on me and all the enemies and co op player stops. Realy love this game but the constant frezing makes multiplayer games imposible. Inter
LVL 19 a breeze with the knight I know this is a hard lvl i tried 50+ times then employed a cheezy strategy Taunt all melee enemies at the your wall as you run around in a big circle and build your castle with ballister towers and rifle men NEVER STOP
Also I'm crashing frequently on seige mode multi...Only "finished" a game when the other disconnected.
Too bad I do not have time to dig in much of this gem. Thanks for making 2.0 free with all the fab contents!
I think one key problem with the Ranger and archers/arrow towers is that they have no buildings to buff 'em. The Engy gets the Dwarven Hut, Captains Tent and Forge, whilst the Knight/Paladin get the Blacksmith, Academy and Tent to help their most common units. I think an Archery or Range would be awesome. I'd love for my Ranger's archer strategy to be more viable. Apart from that little critique, I'm loving the update. Really enjoying the Mage now, too. Getting some levels before I go back to tearing up Versus!
Siege is absurdly frustrating. Very disappointed in my lack of enjoyment. Try getting money up, knight kills em all. Try to get units out, peons kill em all. Try to improve my hero, pointless. The knight, or paladin or whoever I'm playing against just smacks my tree until I get in the way and then he smacks me until I run away or die. This is stupid. I almost at the point where I don't care if my strategy is flawed because the gameplay is so lame. So it goes.
Well the archers get longbeards, and longbeards get the tent, so they can be well buffed. Also, after playing a lot of ranger a bit, I have found that he is the best hero for clearing off the wall. One or two fire arrow shots will kill most of the enemies hitting the wall, and with a crit rune, even better.
My main problem is getting in. If someone doesn't get the good side, they quit. There should be a penalty for quoting in the lobby.
This isn't even vs mode. This is against the frigging AI. I almost just deleted the game. Totally over it. Absolutely miserable three games.
So far I've played around 5 matches or so and have yet to see a problem... not saying there isn't one, buts its going to be hard to track down when we don't run into these issues ourselves :/ And as with anything, there are going to be a lot of factors beyond our control... terrible network connections for one. Most of the content was done before the game was released, so we have been focusing on crashing and bug fixing almost exclusively. We're continuously working to make sure H&C is as bug free as possible though, so any issues that do arise we'll make sure we do our best to get them fixed!
Looking for skilled/active co-op partners. 15 Ranger so far with a nice legendary damage rune but I keep getting stuck with incompetent teammates. I'm RichRuzz on GC for those who would like to team up.
Yeah the good guys are really op in siege. I think they should have to build up, instead of automatically having a whole private army in their pocket.
Wow you sound... angry. Its an extra, bonus mode, and we're sorry if you hate it that much, but the mode is what it is. The fundamental game-play isn't going to change. And I hate to say it, but it sounds like you're exaggerating a bit much. Peons killing all your units for ex? Peons do 1 damage I mean, are you building enough units? As an enemy player, your units are cheap, and they WILL die... you have to continuously build. Its not like good where you are building up a force and try to preserve them. For ex, try just building 2 cultists right away, and then alternating between skeletons and ghouls until you have 20 cap, and KEEP building them... at first it'll look like a lost cause, but they'll slowly build up, keeping the enemy occupied while you figure out your next move (more cultists, better units, etc). You should almost always have a 15+ cap army out as evil. If you don't then yes, the good hero will just charge straight forward through an empty field with no resistance, kill your cultists, then kill your tree. But if you upgrade your skeleton hero with any sort of damage ability, you can kill the enemy hero fairly quickly while you're being protected by your tree (goblin mushroom, swordsman ability, death strike, and others will shred any hero apart).
Come on... the update JUST hit You don't think there is a chance that having 2 weeks of experience with the Good side, while only a few hours learning a completely new race plays a role in how the 2 sides interact? Mind you, I'm not saying anyone is wrong, I'm just saying lets hold off on the judgements until everyone gets a little more familiar with BOTH sides Unless you're talking about the SP siege mode... in which case we can't have them build up, because the mode is all about getting the quickest kill. If they are weak in the beginning, there will be a cut and dry strategy to destroy them quickly, and once you find that strategy the mode will be over. We wanted the mode to be tough... we wanted it to be an achievement when you actually took the castle down. In the campaign the gameplay is all about strategy, and it is hard, we know that... but that's the type of game we like to play, and thats what Heroes and Castles is all about: challenge.
I guess you're right. Maybe in a couple of months I'll beat it. In the meantime, expect more angry complaints of siege mode.
Im aware this has been asked before, but any hints on how to beat stage 20 with paladin? What kills the necromancers and trolls the fastest. Cause they r just destroying me Great game forsaken, ill b playing this for a long time
I hate to tell u this but the enemy gets upgraded peons way too fast and the fact u cant upgrade ur damage or level up just makes it an almost impossible mode to play. I cant get enough soliders without the enemy heroes wiping them all out. It just isnt fun. I think u might need to rework it a little bit.
