Wait, summon too few units? Evil's strength is in their resources and their never ending horde... you can get to like +5 income almost instantly. I usually start off with 3 cultists, then keep a steady dose of ghouls and skeletons to keep them occupied while I build up my hero. Please remember that the evil side is different... its more than possible to destroy the castle, but since its a non level based mode, we wanted to make sure that you couldn't pick up the mode and dominate it in 3 minutes on your first try.
Hmm are you sure? Not sure that's possible, even with a long range critical hit with a few points of marksman...
Finally beat lvl 19 The trick is upgraded ballistas. If you have 2 or 3 of those, the orc chiefs go down fast enough, as long as you kite them. Probably helped that I had a +100 starting gold rune.
I for one love the evil side, because it feels like a completely different game using it. I'm no good at it yet, but love the fact that you can't just pretty much apply whatever strategy you've been using playing campaign or co-op. It's a totally different approach, and with time, everyone will be as good with it as they are with the good side. Don't get frustrated too early on. 300dmg at level 10? What rune are you rocking???
+70 damage epic rune, hitting at the back of the field from the gate. Mobs with no armour though. First thing I did was go full marksman and equip the legendary lol. I'm getting the occasional 400+ hit now at level 12 but it's quite rare and requires crits at max range. This thing scales a bit fast
Something I've found difficult as the evil side in vs is when the enemy, usually a pally or knight rushes up to the tree at the start. It's happened to me a couple times and I can find out how to combat it. Even while fighting the hero by the tree, I don't do enough damage to kill him or scare him off before the tree dies. Then, soon after, I die.
Been exploring the update, fantastic stuff. There are definitely less crashes in coop now, but on the other hand I got a few crashes during campaign levels (level 1 even) where there really wasn't much happening. Once it crashed right before the end-game screen showed up. Didn't have this before the update.
Any tips on the enemies that throw bombs over the wall there are owning me.. What unit is good at destroying these?
I usually handle them myself. Can't really wait for my units to get to them as they are pests that take out your mines pretty quickly, so be alert and take them out yourself.
Generally you need to take out ranged enemies, especially those bomb throwers, with your hero since your units only focus on their nearest enemies.
Watch and weep I seem to have a talent for long range targeting lol. 420 damage at level 12, any one fancy taking me on?
The army of peons and pikemen just destroys my units and cultists. Probably just that I don't have a good strategy in seige mode.
This is exactly what I have dealt with in the two games I played. I just figured this was what the heroes did.
That strat should be easily beatable if you just go straight damage with your starting cash... catch them off-guard. They think they can just bum rush you, but if you go for Skeleton's Swordsman ability (double damage) + damage mushroom, you can do some SERIOUS damage quickly... so much so you might be able to stomp them in that first engagement, and at least enough damage to make them turn and run . Death Charge is another great one if you can afford it... but you don't want to OVERSPEND on offense, or else you'll probably end up falling behind on your army. Your starting gold scales with the power of the hero you are fighting, so the higher their level, the more you can deck your hero out in the beginning. Also remember as long as they are swinging away on you, there is a good chance that he is pre-occupied and not building his own army. Make sure to keep building up your economy and units while he's doing that - and if he's attacking you and not the tree, just yawn and build up your army. As for 400 damage, forgot about legendary rune Yeah, its possible. But remember that it takes a max ability, max range shot (which is skill based), AND a critical. I bet you a 2 hit critical hit from knight with a +70 legendary does quite a bit of damage too Also FYI, runes don't give you a bonus in versus mode We tried to work something around it, but its just too imbal for the good side to get that advantage.
Excited about the update, but it didn't fix my corrupted Pally. Level 52 with 12 health and 10 damage. Anyone know a way to restore from a previous day?
