Yeah I'm not sure about skills. The main thing is paladin. He stuns for like 20 seconds and can be invincible for 20 seconds. Without some balancing it'll be kinda op. which I'm sure forsaken fixed.
Engineer wall defence could counter that, hold money against a paladin while he goes invulnerable then unleash a wave of quick hitting cheap troops before it goes back up again. I think the knight will be a typical rush class. Can imagine one having a pure damage build and just running to the enemy walls and bashing them down in seconds rather than minutes hehe Generally paladin seems like the most utilitarian class and slightly favoured but the other classes aren't left out in the cold at least, like some games out there. Should be fun.
Dies the forge increase the ballista tower or is it just the mortar tower. The description says all cannon towers get buffed but not sure if that means the ballista tower. Any help would be awesome.
I just found +400hp legendary rune (single efect). I'd like to find +400hp/+400hp for my knight - I tried new strategy with max health - health potion is 50% health refill for 75g (100% for 150g) and extra hp mean more hp for same price. +400hp/+400hp rune will give you free extra 400hp for 75g. I guess thiss fast cheap healing tank (I have to improve run) will be great for versus mode - run to enemy's hero, attack, attack, attack some more, retreat to pay 150g, repeat. That will make your oppoment have no time to recharge skills which I guess will be very powerful for Mage. I also guess new Archer class will have special effect on wall units (knight-universal/solo, paladin- units overall, engineer - buildings, archer - wall units and ranged units, mage - spells) I think knight will be "the good one" (=always defender) because Foursaken said there will be good and evil heroes so I think mage is evil and he will attack castle. Knight, Paladin, engineer and maybe archer will be on king's side (did you read storyline?)
If the archer can't actually go on the walls it would be nice to have buffs to archers to make them effective, yes. Also on one hand I need the update to come slow so I can find +gold mine runes and other legendary stocks... But on the other hand if it doesn't come out tonight, which it won't then I may just blow up and explode. I'm checking the app store every hour pointlessly even though there is a button with numbers that I can see and could just wait for an increment on.
I agree. I have not used archers at all, they are pretty pointless as is. Hopefully, like you said, the ranger class will be able to buff them somehow, maybe cater them towards certain types of enemies using different arrows or something. I'm also curious if the ranger class will have a different aiming mechanic than the engineer, or just modified range/damage. Also, I just received an update to a different game, which was submitted to Apple for review on Monday. If I remember correctly, this update was submitted the same date. Hoping it goes live today!
The app approval process typically takes a week at the minimum. Most of the time the app just sits in a waiting queue. Once it goes to "In Review" status, it's done quickly for an update and would hit App Store within a day (sometimes within a few mins). I think Apple just does some scanning of illegal stuff in the code (black list) then release it. If new leader boards show up in GC, that's when you know it's imminent. Btw, +400 Health rune sounds pretty awesome. Now I begin to wonder if there is a cap in the other attributes like damage or crit.
Yeah, but in a game like this it would be a bit weird if they limited it to good vs evil in online competitive play even with this storyline otherwise it would become predictable. The single player siege mode would make sence like that though. No one really knows until the update gets released though at the end of the day (come on update where are you!) Also just found an epic bug where a paladin lost connection while he had an invul shield active, you can imagine how easy it made the defence as the shield never actually lost its power within range of the character Only lost that when a swarm of catapults came up and I decided enough was enough lol.
Engineers themselves don't make the game crash. The Orc chieftain is what makes the game crash, and he usually appears about 15 minutes into the game. People use engineers to glitch because they can still gain XP.
Yeah, thinking about it I wonder what stat does the mages damage. Maybe instead of attack there is going to be a spell power stat for it?
You need a way for people to resign or else they are going to disconnect. Who wants to spend their time playing on once it's hopeless?
I would stay if it means I get to keep experience acquired in a particular game, rather than getting nothing when you disconnect.
I'd stay and add whoever beat me on game center be ause they would surely be a good COOP partner Can't see any reason why not to, good sportsmanship too I suppose.
Most people care less about accumulating experience than they do about enjoying themselves. I don't think you can successfully bribe people to do something if you can't make it enjoyable for them.
I enjoy leveling up my character. If I played for 10-15minutes, I'm not going to give up all the experience I have gained during that time by quitting. That experience could obviously help you build up your character for future games, so instead of quitting you can actually start winning. I don't really see it as bribing. You're not going to win every game, doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. But some will quit in any scenario. If that's the trend, might as well play against people whom are active here in the TA community. Edit: added a point
As I understand it the matching algorithm is going to match you against stronger opponents if your character gets stronger. So gaining experience doesn't actually help you win any more often. If people have to keep playing long after it's obvious that they have lost, just in order to get credit for the experience they accumulated up to that point, I think you're going to have a lot of people who (1) quit anyway, and (2) get frustrated with the game and abandon it. It's better to let people give up when they feel they have lost, without trying to penalize them for doing that.
Yes, but by experience I meant observing what the opponent is doing, in addition to xp points. Like I said, quitters will quit anyway as soon as they are down.
