14 as engy was haaaard. Gotta kill first 3 cats by yourself before coming back, ideally (crit or gold rune helps tons here), and use your gold to get some better walls up and light wall defenses. Repair as needed. Go back, heal, and help kill a little, but you HAVE to trust wall to defenders and focus on the cats. Also, don't go nuts on gold mines this level. They'll just get destroyed. At first I get the 50cost one, and towards the end I won't rebuy any but the 15er. Circling the cats while shooting helps keep skels off you and hits them sometimes too (kill agro skels on you to lower dmg, but focus on cats). Circling also confuses the cats and makes them spin, which means not hitting your wall. Make sure to sprint to them at VERY start. Never empty your sprint, release th button when it's low and sprint in spurts. If you're lucky you can pop two cats with your first crackshot.
Okay so I was trying out that balance issue on level 19 (on which I was stuck) and discovered a bug. I'd build up four gold mines, then keep upgrading and repairing walls while trying to turn a profit. Didn't kill a single enemy (but still got experience, fwiw) so the later waves didn't spawn. When I saved up around 500 or so gold I built up an army and as soon as they killed the initial wave of enemies... I won. The later waves didn't spawn at all, and the end-game screen said only 25 enemies were killed. I guess you should look into how and when enemies spawn to prevent them from spawing (1) too late, i.e. only after the previous wave has been killed off which leads to this balance issue, and (2) not at all, as described above.
That's the troll level right? Four Ballista towers, couple repairman, and a Longbeard. Then hit the troll a couple times so he follows you, and he doesn't attack the walls, then run around the map until your Ballistas take him out. Of course, Peons, Pikemen and Captains will help a lot against the other enemies attacking.
As for the XP earned, what hero were you using (were you using abilities? Because you do earn experience by using abilities like Fortify)... And that issue is already fixed There is a queue system with enemies, so yeah, currently you can just sit there with beefed up walls and not worry about the first wave (because they're generally wussy). Next update will add an under the hood fail safe to prevent this kind of exploit. Lets just say if you wait too long without killing enemies, you'll be welcomed with a special Troll and Catapult surprise to make up for all that sitting around

If your info is right and you have an iPod touch 3rd gen, it is likely that you will have to restart your device every once in a while to clear your memory.
Foursaken: If you remember I reported multiplayer issue that my co-op player disconnects very often. Today I played with 2 stayed untill end, 7 disconnected (which is very good "score")(They go to kill some enemies, menu "Paused" pops up, when I hit resume, I continue without him, If I wait, nothing happens. Couldn't be that without endless unlocked co-op is best way how to get runes so they go play multiplayer even with very low wifi connection, disconnect and continue alone to get their runes?) Any news on this issue on your side?
Ah okay, I was using Engineer with Fortify indeed. Good to hear that issue has been fixed, though that'll probably mean I won't update before I finish the campaign Nah just kidding, I'll make sure to beat level 19 the intended way. Coop crashes very often on 256MB RAM devices like the iPod touch 4 so I wouldn't assume anything malicious. I can play coop without crashing maybe once in five tries.
I haven't played this in dayssssss need the update lol Can't wait to get whooped in coop....I mean whoop people in coop
BTW has coop been changed since launch? I remember playing coop on the first day and you'd immediately be overwhelmed with enemies, whereas I just played coop again today (didn't play in the meantime due to crashing) and now it's more like a regular level, starting off slow with less enemies that come in waves.
Great game! This is my first post and it is because of this great game. First question is to developer. Whenever we played a new stage and if there is a new mob, there is a special message explaining the uniqueness and sometimes how to deal with the new mob. Where can I find this tip in the game or anywhere on the web. Most of the time I am in the heat of the battle and may have missed the message and seems no way to recall the info. Am thinking long term too. What if in a few months time I wish to play this game and cannot recall the info of many boss mobs? Second is that I am a casual player and so far have been clearing each stage with all 3 classes before I proceed to the next level. Isn't this the best way to play this game? Get lots of crystals and have fun figuring how to beat each stage with different strategies? Level 27 now. Few more to go! Looking forward to more contents update! Got a feeling paladin and engineer are much more powerful than knight if u use their skills right. My paladin and a bunch of pikemen killed the troll in level 20 with shield of glory and ballista towers before it even got close to the wall.
I did level up but I'm quite sure it's different now. Previously there were enemies as soon you the game began, now there's a small delay as they spawn. I've been suggesting this too. A tutorial section with all the tips accessible would help, like the Insectopedia in Bug Heroes
I am using iPhone 5 btw. Still it's possible that other player in co-op does not have enough RAM. Maybe just fixing casual crashes will decrease disconections in co-op BUT my friend has iPhone 4 and when he sits next to me adn we play co-op we see each other disconnected (pause menu popup) and noone crashed. Weird Still awesome game, I can't give it 4 stars even with this bug in hope it will be fixed. Also finally (2-3 days of trying) I bet lvl 19 and special unit for each hero unlocked so it will be less difficult with other heroes now. It was not so hard I always failed so hard and now I bet it and said to myself "It is over now? Too early.." Using +70 starting money rune, lvl 22 knight, 4 ballista, pikemans and riflemans (dwarwes on wall with ammo-piercing) and I think I used 1 repairman. But I think I did not beat it because of all this. I'll not tell you what to do with those giant orcs I am at lvl 24 without being stuck btw
