Vs Mode Foursaken - In the upcoming VS mode, would player enter with the same stats or enter with their own best stats?
I feel like someone asked this but I can't find it. Will the update make it easier to see a downed teammate? I couldn't tell he was dead due to the chaos - cut to a couple minutes later - woops. Anyone know? P.s. love the game!
This is going to be a huge hassle because we have the newest test version on all of our devices... can you please just PM me?
Foursaken mentioned they will take a brighter light on downed teammates into consideration for the update.
Versus mode was a tricky beast bc we knew we would be dealing with such a huge difference in player strengths, and GC doesn't offer any dynamic matchmaking... so we've created a cool system where it ensures players are at least even in hero strength (but not necessarily skill level). The good news is that we have a leaderboard point system similar to most RTS's that takes into account opponent skill. Beating players with less skill will give you less points, and losing to players with more skill will make you lose less points. Basically, one player is Evil, the other is Good, chosen in a pre-game lobby screen. The good side will choose their hero like normal, and defend their castle like normal from the Evil player. The Evil player's hero strength automatically scales based on the level of their opponent. Then, during the match, the Evil player can switch classes, upgrade their hero, etc (basically you have hero customization options instead of a buildings menu). The Evil player will only be able to summon enemy units he has encountered in the Campaign, so if you prefer evil, you will still have to play through the Campaign (just like a Good player would) in order to have stuff unlocked and really stand a chance. So, because this is HEROES and Castles , the evil side is not persistent. Everything with the evil side is handled on a match by match basis (except for the unit unlocks). Yep, we're making it more apparent.

Foursaken: I have a couple ideas as to perfect setups that just destroy everything. One of them is for an engineer, 2 mortar towers, 2 ballista towers., 1 longbeard, 1 repairman, 4 rifleman, and 2 archers (50 for the top). On the field, Its 1 giant, 2 catapults, and 9 blunderbuss. Inside the castle is a forge and dwarven hut, and captains tent. All are fully levelled. Admittedly, I can only get to about the first Big orc large thingy before I crash (the biggest enemy there is.) This setup kills it way before it gets to the wall, and pretty much has the whole map cleared. While I'm not sure how well it would deal with many super large enemies, I would honestly be shocked if it just didnt decimate enemies at the current difficulty due to the long range that the longbeard. The repairman may be replaceable with another longbeard if the longbeards stack. Alternatively, having the same support on the top, and just a ton of giants on the bottom and catapults, might also do very well. Its just the blunderbuss, when large enemies get near the wall, when there are like 8 blunderbuss, they just destroy big enemies and dont even let the enemies move. Both of these setups require the player (in this case an engineer), to make sure the ghost spectral enemies are killed, as support troops cant really damage them. Good luck with the update!
Thanks. And haha, you wouldn't want to play with us... we have to delete our heroes so many times and restart from the beginning so many times all our heroes are like stuck at level 10 and below. Its a shame... But don't worry, once this update hits, you're mine in versus mode
I'm not sure they'll be able to handle the new wave of 5 Trolls Or the wave of 7 cats that spawn at once We've done some rebalancing of co-op and endless late game. Beware, leaderboards will be CLEARED!
Well, not technically cleared bc you can't with GameCenter, but we'll be setting up new leaderboards for this version and up.

Lol the long history of Devs underestimating the resilience of dedicated gamers is a bloody one. There is never an insurmountable challenge, someone WILL beat the difficulty spike!
Geez so much mystery here, what is it? 4 mortars? Giants with captains? Just say what u think is this ultimate strategy to us all.
good day, i dont know if this have been discuss... but i dont have the time to look through the comments... the game seem to crash at level 14.. i dont know why? also when i try a co-op the game seem to freeze and i am the only one moving.. and my gold ect keep going up.. and i can upgrade ect.. can some one explain this to me? on what is going on...
