One thing I like is that your units usually don't go running in to attack the spinning goblins. It's units finally acting smart. Ok please, I beg you can you make normal units not auto target wraiths? Especially not really expensive ones? My treeman, instead of fighting skeletal captains or juggernauts ran down the beach and around the left corner to fight a wraith out view. While I was running around trying to protect it I was mobbed by skeletal runners and died.
Also I'm stuck on Corte level 12 with the archer. I there are tons of skeletal runners which makes you want to use blunder busses. but then there are wraiths and armored skeleton and juggernauts, all immune to knockback. I tried using a treeman but the tree can't focus on the right units and when i try to run out and catch wraiths and kite the other things, the skeletal runners destroy me. And the stupid juggernauts I can't damage really without a ballista which is really expensive. Any ideas? nevermind this time I was able to afford ballistas, blunders and frost wizards, just not spending any money on upgrading the walls past stone.
I have a question- what percentage of the time to the sektah warriors(the Mage special unit) block attacks when maxed out? 80% 90% ?
Anyone have tips for level 16 Corte? as a lvl 40 mage horde of random units, wraiths, standard bearers, and catapults later on, and at the end there is the bizarro wraith enemy. If I kill the wraiths my hero, and crowd control at the wall, the damn standard bearers multiply- if it try to take care of them, the wraith blitz through my defenses(towers or blunder buses). If I use frost wizards to take out the wraiths, the catapults like 1 hit them when they appear.
Co-op strategy Alright. I see many people doing all sorts of crazy stuff at Co-op matches (I assume the same goes for their private Endless) Here are my findings what a decent strategy is to reach the 13 minute mark easy. After that it turns into actual skill. There's two guides. One's for newbies and the other for medium players: This is what your combined buildorder should look like: Mine Mine Rifleman Rifleman Rifleman Longbeard Dwarven Hut Rifleman Rifleman Rifleman Mortar Tower Forge Mortar Tower Mortar Tower Mortar Tower Mortar Tower Captain's Hut 10 Catapults 2 Hunters Steel Walls (should only be necessary to upgrade walls at the end) If you don't have any of the above maxed out, follow the newby guide. If one of the above is maxed out you can do parts of the medium guide. Newby guide (For characters below 2O lvl): You won't be doing a lot of damage, even with decent runes, so that's not your job. Your job is to stockpile money for repairs. Good runes are +starting gold, +gold/sec, -Building cost. Other then that, try not to get yourself killed and be more of a niusance then a help In the beginning do what you can to kill the early attackers. If you build up mines and a classic Riflemen defence first you will need to sweat a bit in the beginning to kill the low level attackers. If you don't have Steel Walls maxed out. Max that out first. It'll be your only job, so do it well If you have other things maxed out feel free to chip in as well. Medium Level: (lvl20 up) Starting on level 20 you should be able to dish out some damage in one form or the other depending on which character you play. Good runes are +damage, +gold/sec, -building cost. Don't bother with starting gold or any of the others. You're a lvl20+. You can use the other things more! It doesn't come into play for regular attackers. Apart from the buildup-start you should only focus on Wraiths and Catapults. If they're not around feel free to engage the Snipers and archers. Leave the rest for your Catapult/Riflemen defence. The important thing is to be in full health and have skills at the ready should wraiths or catapults appear. Your priority is to take those out asap. Your defence will handle the rest. If you're not partnering up with another medium+ level character chances are you'll be responsable for purchasing most things. Using this technique I'm able to do endless games of 13+ minutes EASY. If I get a little help in the first 2 minutes I'm even able to solo Co-op games 13+ minutes this way. Doesn't make a lot of difference from regular Endless. From 13+ it depends on your partner. If he's decent: Once you get around the 13-14 minute mark there should be a wave of like 10 wraiths follow immediately with a few catapults. Your dual job there is to eliminate the catapults first and then kill the wraiths before they hit your catapult(stun) wall. If you have a decent partner it should work and you're good for another few minutes. Ive only met a decent partner for thiw twice though If you or your partner is low leveled. The 13-14 minute marker (watch for the catapult/wraith spam) is when it's time to bottle up in your castle. Just sit it out there and keep repairing your wall. Don't bother with other units or buildings. Even gold mines. This is where all that hoarded money comes in handy for people who only have the Steel Walls maxed out. If one of you is an Engineer you can stick it out even longer using your Fortify in between repairs. The best characters to have are those able to quickly take out Catapults/Wraiths and get the hell back out of dodge. So characters like Mage, Assasin, Engineer and such are best IMO.
Question for Foursaken_Media or really advanced players: I'm not noticing an increase in Crystals or drop of Runes after a certain time on Endless/Co-op. I definately don't get more Crystals. I would have expected the number to go up as a reward. Is this some kind of failsafe measure for cheaters or something like that? Personally I'd like an increase in crystal/rune drops or more rapid experience gains after 20+ minutes or so. Gives it more of a reward other then simple level grinding to level your character. Levelgrinding doesn't present much of a bonus anyhow because from 20+ onwards it's easy to reach 10+ minutes so you already get 3 Crystals and the same Rune drop rate apparently. So why level grind for a high level character? Sure you'll be able to squeeze a few more minutes out but not much for the level of grinding you'll be forced to do.
Eh I haven't got past around 15 min even with higher level characters, but I notice even around then I usually don't even get a rune, much less a decent one.
After your post I noticed that many players now try your strategy, which greatly extends the games' length. Great post! However, I would replace one rifleman with a (maxed) repairman, it will pay off.
Some time ago somebody wondered what the highest rune values are. These are the ones I encountered so so far (single values). Correct me if I'm wrong. Health: +400* Damage: +35 Critical: +40% Gold Income: +1 HP/sec: +2 Starting Gold: +150 Armor: +24* Run: +10 Unit Cost: -24% Building Cost: -20% * Not exactly sure because I sold them
Based on the lack of activity, most players are probably moving on to other newer titles by now, me included. Overall best $2 I've ever spent. I still play PvP occasionally, but no campaign after getting my Mega-completionist achievement. Great job by the dev for adding so much free content. Looking forward to the next title.
I've seen +40 damage and +4hp/sec, but those were from the very beginning when legendaries were much more common before the updates.
Maybe legendary runes display 2 values as a single one if they are the same (as opposed to other runes). So 400 health is 200/200, 40 dmg is 20/20, and so on.
Foursaken has said before, if a rune has only ONE effect there is a chance that it will double the value of it. Example: you get a legend rune with +35 attack, the double effect roll passes and it is created as a rune with +70 Attack, its the same as getting a double rune (+35/+35).
