Just as I say this, I actually used a Cleric after maxing him out, the pikemen and the captain out- and he worked perfectly- stayed with the guys the whole time---was so much fun to stand in a field of pikemen and watch enemies hurl themselves on the spears, especially that horrible bizarro wraith. I have no idea how i will beat Corte with other characters who use units less, because that bizarro wraith is scary.
But my favorite special unit is the wolf, hands down. Nothing is better than seeing them mow down those horrible siegers and long bows.
Foursaken you should make the assassin's invisbility skill fade the character out, at least for versus, it doesnt seem fair for be to beat someone up in a fight before they realize im invulnerable.
You really have to fix the lag mechanics: - My Assassin hits a troll from behind - The troll slowly turns around - I activate the "hide" skill (forgot the name) - The troll attacks me - The troll hits me - But he is not supposed to hit me - I die - The skill is still active and I have to wait before I can use it again - I can't kill the troll because I have to wait for the cooldown Same goes for all other skills and wall repairs, as already mentioned.
Backstab now seems underpowered at 150% at rank 5... Just seems a bit of a waste, as due to the fix it went from being a superb skill fitting with the feel of the assassin( as its what you expect of an assassin, being a decent lone wolf) , to being a bit underwhelming...
Any tips for level 14 on corte? Here's what I've done; I feel like it could be successful but it's not yet...so much so that I have to ask. Get out and immediately run to the beach and take out one drummer. Once he dies, I go after the archers, killing all I can see until the first jug arrives. I shoot the jug once, kite him and continue to take out archers until the next jug appears, and repeat. All the while, I'm upgrading walls, building ballistae and riflemen. I've had some success doing this, but if you miss one juggernaut, it's over. The time it takes me to get one off of the wall is enough to let the 4 or 5 that are being kited to catch up and kill me. The furthest I've gotten is to when the chieftain comes out. I wasn't able to get him in my kite strings and everything fell apart...but I feel like I was close to the end. Any tips? I'm using a high level engineer.
Keep them close to the castle but DO NOT EVER lose sight of even one of them. As you are an Engy, keep Crackshotting the Jugs. If you have fully maxed Riflemen and Ballistae Towers, have full wall of Riflemen and a Longbeard, build a Captain's Tent (I would also recommend it maxed), and it should help with your problem. Try building some Jugs of your own (Or a Dwarven Tank if you bought it) to keep the jugs distracted, if you need to as well.
Alright, so it sounds like I'm on the right track, just gotta watch the missteps. Thanks for the advice!
I'm a level fifty engineer and am stuck on level 8 corte. I can't make it even a few minutes- the swarm of skeletal captains cut through the walls like butter, and the mortars seem to do one damage to even normal skeletons because their aura. Any suggestions?
Why Mortars? I always use Ballistae. They are far better in terms of damage. Also, use Iron Helms. They make good distracters. They're essentially souped up Peons.
eh I found them useless on that level, maybe i need them maxed out or something? I eventually added a plus critical and plus gold legendary rune, so I had enough AOE to kite everyone across the map and then used rifle men while I killed the bearers, I completed the level but it was very nerve wracking. On a separate note, today the multiplayer started lagging to oblivion/crashing again. It was working great for about a day or two after I switch to low quality graphics, but now it's back to how it was before. I have a iPad 2 btw.
Maybe try reducing your crit with an extra damage rune, but what suits you best. On the subject matter on the Iron Helms (Or Ballistae.), yeah, that may be the case. If you max them out they should just be GG no re on many cases, I suppose.
It's been a while since I played it, but I believe I used a strategy similar to yours with the addition of Hunters. They helped me take out the archers while I was able to focus on the heavy hitters.
Considering that I saw a level 43 Veteran who could hit consistent 300s, I assume there is technically no cap, or that it is ridiculously high and requires like a quadrillion skill points to reach, lol.
Man, I am loving the Hammerers. Sure they don't have Armor as Crusaders do, but they make up for it wish some pretty damn nice AoE and Knockback. I swear it always makes me laugh to see everything come towards them.
