Oh my druid is lvl 22. And that was with trying to play coop(even though it crashes constantly). But yeah I figured out my own method, alternating giants and peons and kiting the troll to build up 4 gold mines and steel walls, then the tank and the forge. The key for that level is not to kill them to quickly.
Level 22 with a level 9 Druid just seems impossible. I have a 150 gold rune I have been using but those wraiths and archers are too much to deal with right off the bat
I had similar experience , build a tank (rushed it out so i only had stone walls) and it did nothing, barely drew enemy fire before it died and i almsot lost the level
I maxed out peons and frost wizards and just used the peons as meatshields until the frost wizards mowed them down. Also, if you've some points in nature's wrath,the peons dying themselves will kill the wraiths I think, or at least stun them.
Despite not being able to see anything because of lag, I had a couple of great Corte Endless runs with someone named vansky.
Foursaken Media, appreciate all the hard work with patching and updating this game. A few points below: Any plans for new premium skins which are either female or smaller character models? Some heroes are so tall and wide on screen that the view is limited. The rangers ability to shoot down from a hill in the new map or shoot up from under a hill is very low. Reminds me of the early days of Block Fortress where you guys eventually updated the angle at which we can look up and down/fire up and down from wider angle. I think the new map would really benefit from Ranger being able to shoot directly down the hill on enemies that are climbing the hill because it can be infuriating when the angle doesn't allow it. I would recommend buffing the ranger's active skill that buffs archers/archer towers and allow those troops to fire through obsticles. That might help people use this skill more because noone i know uses this skill. Are there any plans on changing the white screen flash on crits, for example high levels crit very often (as much as 100% of the time) but every time you crit the whole screen flashes white. In case of Engineer it is worse because their gun throws a giant black smoke which limits view badly not to mention is very annoying. If this screen flash can be a option that we can switch off my eyes and mind would appreciate it. Not to mention some people have a condition where they get seizures with bright flashing lights, forget the name of it.
Just wondering what the difference between the free and paid version is? Is there enough extra content to warrant buying the paid version? Thanks!
Lol, no wonder people are saying Tank and Blunderbusses are OPed... there actually is a legit bug with Forge that overbuffs both those units to insane levels >_< I think most, if not all units have at least one smaller skin... As for Archer ability, there is some discussion actually where a few players are finally heeding my advice that it IS a good ability after all We'll look into firing angle and critical screen flash. They are set up to be very similar... but right now the Paid version will get you 1 additional hero "for free" (in other words, in the free version you get 1 hero for free. In the paid, you get 4 heroes for the initial purchase of $2).
Great game, very addictive. I like how there is a good amount of stuff to upgrade. Couple of complaints though: - Archers shouldn't be killed/fired when you upgrade your wall. Doesn't make any sense, they just resign when you renovate? Lol. I understand they'll be killed when the wall is destroyed but why when the wall is being upgraded? - Should be a way to upgrade population limit. 50 is way too low for later levels. I mean a team of peasants takes up like 20 population... - Should be a way to fire existing units to summon better units. E.g., fire all peasants to free up population space - Should be able to equip at least 2 runes instead of 1 - "Run" timer is way too low. Most characters can only run for about 5 seconds before they're completely exhausted... do they all have polio or something? It's annoying and hilarious at the same time. Even a 3 year old can run more than 5 seconds Right so you can upgrade the run meter once slightly with a rune, but that wastes your valuable rune slot on something that should be much longer to start with. In fact I say just remove the run timer, it's completely unnecessary and only makes the game more slow paced and frustrating (especially when you can't catch those suicide bomber enemies due to your inability to run for more than 5 seconds) - You should be able to repeat earlier levels and earn more crystals... Otherwise it soon turns into an IAP-fest... - Needs more female heroes, or the ability to switch gender of the heroes. I don't get why all of the classes except assassin are male (even the assassin looks like a very masculine female...)? Dev got something against female classes? Or don't have time to draw up a female model? The ranger and mage are perfect candidates for female class, as in almost all RPGs these classes are female.
Thanks for your thoughts! See responses below. Hmmm, not sure what you mean. They don't die when you upgrade a wall... never heard of anything like that happening before. Unfortunately the pop cap limit is primarily there due to performance. We're already pushing a LOT of units for mobile devices (up to 75 on screen at once), which I don't think you'll see often - in fact, ironically with some of the more popular and "newer" Engines like Unity and UDK I don't even think its possible, especially on the middle of the road devices. Trust me, I wish we could up this! How sweet would it be to have hundreds of units on screen at once Runes were always meant to be a small bonus. We think any more than 1 at a time and they become too big of a game-play factor, to a point where if you have 2 great runes the game is easy, and if you have no good runes its very hard. Heck, even with 1 legendary rune equipped the game can change dramatically. Most units are carrying 50-100 of pounds of armor, equipment, and gear - I'm sure it would be tough to run for extended periods with that kind of weight But seriously, Run is balanced around game-play... you have to strategically use it, and it accentuates the differences between certain characters (Ranger and Assassin for example are both faster and can run longer). You can also upgrade your run stat when you level up if you feel you need more run. Huh? You can replay levels and earn crystals... you also earn additional crystals for beating previous levels with different heroes.
Buy the game no matter what because this developer and this game is amazing. Free version is clearly described in its app description...
I hate it how archers and archer towers miss all the time. If the enemy unit is moving, they miss like 75% of the time I find. Also don't like how I cant aim lower/higher and the new map with that giant hill right there...... Glad the tank bug is going to be fixed.. Hinton endless mode is a joke with it as is
Hm well I guess it might have been a bug or something, because I had about 5 archers on the wooden wall, then I upgraded to the second level wall, then all my archers were gone (population on wall = 0). I think the barbarian should be able to run longer though. I mean he's mostly naked lol... and pretty sure he has the highest "fitness" or all characters, yet he can only run about 4-5 seconds. Ok I misinterpreted the loading message "replay levels with other heroes to earn additional crystals", I thought that meant you'll only earn crystals if you play with another character, so once you've played all characters you stop earning crystals.
Lol yep, the archers miss even the slowest units as long as they are moving laterally. It's a problem with goblin drummers who seem to spend several minutes strolling around in one direction or another before the settle.
Even when enemy is attacking your wall, the archers are still missing them. The riflemen are just so much better. I get really annoyed how everything seems to kill your wall units. One bomb guy makes it through, 4+ wall units dead.
Argg, anyone have strategy hints for Corte level 8? I'm using a level 31 Engineer, and getting totally overwhelmed no matter what I try. (It's been a while since I've had a real challenge in the game, most levels I can beat pretty easily with good walls, some ballistas and a lot of giants.)
H&C Free seems to be gone from database? But the unlock errors are still happening. Logged in this morning only haven beaten first 5 stages but ended up unlocking every possible upgrade, except for the actual upgrades. I can now summon giants at level 9 without even having beaten the 6th stage if the first campaign.
