Thanks for the reply FM Actually at that time, I hadn't realised that those skills that turn up on the top right of the screen had to be activated! What a nut nut I am! Haha But yeah, the more I play, the more I get addicted, even though I do get beat quite often. I just unlocked the Winter levels. Loving it so far
Perhaps go through the earlier levels with the other heroes to get more gems and upgrade? Didn't know about the wiki thanks!
Its still going to be a bit for the update to actually hit... if you think about it, this one update has nearly as much content as the original game itself! (3 new heroes, 1 entire new campaign) - so there is just a ton of QA, testing, and balancing to do... FYI we've also been adding in some new effects, such as full dynamic shadows for higher gen devices (yes, dynamic shadows on ALL 70+ units on screen at once), which just looks awesome Anyway, thanks for being patient everyone... we're still working hard!
Sorry for dragging up an old post but I have a question on this that other players might be able to answer. Is it always true that critical increases the damage of your normal hit by a percentage? I think it is true of the knight, but as far as I can tell the Mage gets a 30 Dmg bonus with a critical hit (as well as knock back or stun) no matter how high his damage is. If this is true the original post is even more true, as putting 30 points into crit would increase your chance of doing an extra 30 Dmg by 30%, while putting it in damage would raise it by 100%. This however disregards the other effects of a critical hit. The engineer crit is justly well regarded but I think the mage's is also quite useful in knocking down running mummies, knocking back orcs and stunning Orc chieftains. Does anyone have a list of the specific attributes for a critical hit with each character (eg special effects and whether it gives a fixed or proportionate damage increase)? If so please post. Also, I think that one should further beware putting points into critical because there won't always be an increase when you put a point in. I think this is a bug because if you cancel the investment, put on and take off a rune that changes your critical stat, and then try it again, sometimes you will then be able to increase your critical stat after all. Also on occasion when you invest one point it will propose to raise your critical by two instead of one points. On an unrelated note, if Foursaken is hanging around, please endeavour to fix the (4+) water rune at some stage from giving randomly large bonuses (eg 8+ or 16+) instead of the proper 4 HP per second.
The critical stat upgrade is not a bug. Heroes upgrade less than 1% crit per point put in. You just can't see the decimal.
Ah the good old days of being stuck. I don't remember levels 3 or 7 posing any difficulty, but level 19 (the one where you meet the orc cheftain) stumped me for almost 24 hours. I had run through the levels as quickly as possible only to find that I had to almost double my character level to finally beat the damn thing.
Ranger gets ~50% more damage on a critical and a knock back effect Engy is the AOE and a damage increase (AOE! AOE! AOE! AOE!) Pally is massive knockback and damage increase Knight gets only a damage boost iirc but it applies to both strikes if you do a 2 hit attack (2 crits for the price of one) Mage gets more knockback and a damage increase i dont know vet's, ive never really used him. I think damage increases are all fixed cept for rangers( after 56 levels im 100% positive it is a 50% damage increase) but i could be wrong, best way to test is with damage runes and see if the difference in damage increases from crits are the same or not
I just got this game and WOW this game is good Does anyone have any tips for level 19 with the Orc Cheiftains
Can't wait for the update. And what does dynamic shadow mean?? Shadows that can move? Can't they move in our current version?
Depends on what hero you're using... but I always needed lots of Ballista turrets to take down the Chieftains. Basically aggro them away from your walls while your ballistas destroy them... more or less By dynamic I mean real-time shadows.
Wow yeah, I just got to 19 with my Paladin, and I'm having heaps of trouble killing those things. I guess the good thing is I can use 'em in siege and they rock! Thanks for the tip!
Passed level 19 useing level 21 knight I just did what was said to hit the chieftains once and let my ballista towers and rifleman kill them Useing taunt does help on this stage
i did it first with knight at around 21, but i didnt have taunt, i actually had to Only kill the chiefs by aggroing all of them and ducking in and out to hurt them without getting hit, while repairing the walls with all my gold. after the cheiftans went down the rest was a simple matter
I'm just new here and currently a level 22 Knight, are there any tricks to make level up faster? Ever since I reach the 20s, it feels like the exp bar increases very slowly
