I don't know... I try to get at least a few games in every day to keep up with the balance and to test for bugs, and I'd say overall its pretty rare that I get these hackers... In fact, I've only fought 4-5 of the type you listed (thats the hack where they give themselves unlimited SP to buff up their characters) in all of my games playing (maybe around 200 games played). Still, it does suck, and we're going to try to hardcode a few more failsafes and upper limits to see what we can do to avoid it.
Had a mage kill my cultists even with the tree being up. Bug, hack? he used lightning and normal attacks.
I'm pretty sure the invisible walls thing happens when my partner disconnects because of extreme lag- it's always one or the other of us with the lag.
Something is still not right here. My CV was level 49 and I bumped up his critical to 25%. Now he's level 51, but his critical is back a percent at 24%. If I attempt to put one point into it I get the option to upgrade from 24% to 24%. I've got screenshots of all this and would be happy to attach them, I just haven't worked out how to include/upload screenshots yet.
In game messages Just in case anybody else is as slow as me, I just worked out that the message list in co-op (activated by tapping your hero portrait) scrolls down to show more message options. This was a while back, but it also took me ages to realise that the icons on the runes reflect their abilities. I thought it was just a random jumble at first. The joy of apps - cheap and fun but with no doco, leaving you to figure things out for yourself.
Bug I believe. I know engineer can do the same, I think any kind of indirect AOE can also. On the subject of hackers, I'd say the bigger issue now is poorly synced games that result in one hero being invisible and unkillable. (Not even by troop or AOE.) I have like 500 wins and 62 losses and I'd say there's only about a handful of legit hackers out there, and they're easy to remember and dodge. The issue is they usually quit after a day or two because no one legit or of worth playing will play them, so they just try and queue up to no avail.
Oooooh, what about, calculate the max amount of stats, a person can possibly have. (99 X Whatever) The additional stat, that's impossible to gain, goes to decreasing it. So, say someone has 999 attack points. That means the other 900 attack points go into negative damage, resulting in no damage, and who know, maybe it might even heal the enemy. So, negative armor, idk. I don't know how runes will affect it either.
I've had it happen when my walls were never down though in coop, so it wasn't like lagging: graphics not catching up after the wall was repair- they just randomly turned invisible.
Foursaken, are ability related runes still a possibility? I recall reading something along those lines in the upcoming thread.
Son and I went 32 minutes on co-op and neither of us got a rune. I think they nerfed the rune drop too much from the way it used to be. Sorry. I got nothing else to complain about this week. #
I find that saving up crystals (or purchasing crystals) and then crafting runes is much more reliable than waiting for a good rune to drop. I usually get to about 150 crystals before I start crafting runes. Gives you something to look forward to and is a good distraction from defending your castle.
Why do people hack games? that takes all the fun out of a game and end up making it boring. I been playing a few multi player games and realise that this guy taking on all the creeps and one hit killing them :/. No wonder people are lasting so long.
Isn't it also fairly plausible that the person annihilating enemies isn't just a really high level? I mean you hit level 99 with some characters and I'm pretty sure you could take down 99 % of anything that comes your way no problem, add in a damage rune and you'll have a guaranteed wrecking ball
