    For the catapult, once you summon it, does it automatically shoot (like a tower) or do you have to manually control it?

    It automatically shoots. It's the same thing as buying a catapult. Same unit.

    With 100% crit, the engy has an AOE attack.

    That makes him even more of a "one man army" than a knight.:D

    The catapult skill is pretty much useless. It counts against unit totals, so... What is the point? I guess it isn't as useless as the Ranger's archery buff... :p

    Yeah... Now if they changed that to double fire rate, paired with fire arrows, damn, now that'd be a good skill :D

    Where did that originate from? I noticed the game Block Story uses that for their loading screen.

    Just did it!!! Beat the campaign with ranger!! Woooooo!!!! Now on to Mage!

    1 point in Catapult is well worth it...
    It's like having an extra 150 gold every few min.

    I also think 1 point in Ranger skill that gives archers/archer towers range and damage is well worth it just to have it.

    Yeah that skill sucks shit. Like it does baaaaad. I regret wasting two points to that skill. I mean unless it gets a major change, just no... That skill ehh :/

    Elven arrows is ok for the first couple levels in the campaign, but for everything else it just seems not to be worth it, buying a full complement of archers and archer towers is expensive and they die very easily. Anyone (other than Forsaken) use it regularly/effectively?

    All of the dwarven skills are useful. Even the artillery (free catapult skill).
    Free catapults every minute or so are great for endless and coop in my opinion, as you'll likely have a forge for your mortar towers which benefits them as well. That way you can save up for dreadnoughts who do a remarkable job of protecting the catapults.

    I finally 'got' how to play the Mage. I am pouring every single point into armour, and I just finished the campaign. The only skill I haven't buffed up is the fireball, which didn't seem all that important other than softening up lone ranged units before you can trudge out there. Now I just need the ultimate rune to back him up, my +1 gold is nice but hardly beefs up your character.

    The one unit I can't stand playing is the night. His attack doesn't hit multiple targets, his skills don't seem all that powerful and take forever to recharge, and the only thing he really seems good at it kiting.

    I have an idea- I think there should be also be bizzaro wraiths in late endless and coop, that can only be damaged by units. That would deemphasize the strategy of one man wrecking crews kiting for hours. otherwise, with the continuous wraith spam as it is now in late coop, having ground units is more of a liability at that stage, which detracts from gameplay and doesn't make sense.

    I would say just maxing out all of the mages skills is best, they work really well together. Burn is super useful for annoying units like wraiths, armored creatures, mummies, catapults, orcs/trolls, but especially necromancers, as it burns through their shields. Most units can be killed with a single application, set it and forget it and run off to the next baddie. Never leave home with out maxed out burn imo.

    Progression of the Mage (levels 53-64)

    I’ve been tracking stats progression of my Mage since level 53. Now I’m on level 64 and, although sample is quite small for statistical analysis, there are some visible trends for Mage:

    HP +7 every level
    Damage +1 every level
    Armor +1 every five levels
    Run +0,1 second every two levels
    Crit. +1 every two levels and +1 following level (0, 0, +1, +1, 0, 0, +1, +1, 0, 0)

    Graph (in logarithmic scale) shows stats progression, and in the red are stats points I’ve added only in the armor.

    I’m also tracking progression of Engineer (level 49-60…) and I will do that with my other heroes (all level 30 now) and post results here.
    Maybe it can be useful for other players in the planning of their heroes development (I’ve made some bad SP investments with my characters).

    Thanks everybody here for good tips and strategies :) that helped me a lot, and a big thanks to Foursaken Media bros for developing, constantly improving and adding new content in the best game on iOS in my opinion :)!

    P.S. I was a “astound” with the price of the game in the App Store (used to spend 50+ € on some “big” names games on PC and Mac and being plundered), so to feel better I’ve spent some bucks for 350 pack of crystals back in January.
