Took a break for the last few weeks because of consistent coop crashing/disconnecting (either me or more likely my partner). Sad to see it's still that way. Maybe the next fix will do the trick. Still a great single player game though!
Same here, I've been playing mostly single player due to the crashing. Can't wait for the update though!
Yeah. Also 15+ min is impossible because of crashing. Hopefully it'll increase stability in the next update...
I have thoughts, I like to play maximum risk, maximum damage/dps Knight, paladin, ranger, engineer all no problem. I'm good with those. But the Mage is still a headbanger. Now upgrading damage on this would work but as its main skills are not mele and most of its skill comes from using health and regeneration what would be the best high damage high risk ratio for dps. Mele damage would add the obvious dps easy bonus while firing stuns and dots at an enemy. However, I have been considering pumping most skill points into health and defence with the thought of skill spamming magic. Doing that however, doesn't increase the HP per second, only the maximum allowance and would generally speaking theoretically only really benefit the early game where mobs can be one shot without blinking any way. Again, it means that one can stay out in the field for a longer period of time chuck Norris style but it also means more downtime healing from extreme gameplay. On top of that the Mage obviously has the ability to increase max health as it goes on. Which leads back to the idea of the best high risk high damage output would be mele, and so the circle begins. Or perhaps going for max crit and using the mele as an AOE support to an ally in the field defending the walls, adding to the benefit of the already robust AOE skills that it has via lightning and ice. So... What would be the ultimate verdict on said options? Would love to hear from people who have spent their points in Mage perfectly and those who feel they wasted points on it. Maximum spell skills go without saying that's what I've got, but I also have unspent talent points starting to stockpile unlike the other classes which are so clear cut in their approach. I know the options, but not which direction to go in.
Your health is gonna max out at 1500 in-game anyway so don't spend on health. Iv'e been putting all my points on defence, my mage is level 63 with 89 defence

A plus damage rune for a mage? I use a legendary water rune and I never have to go back inside the castle at around level 30. What need most is more run I think, that way you get more out of lightning.
Holy, are there seriously people snarling about Foursaken lying about the update? LOL really? That is sad on too many levels to count. If the devs are reading this, I do have an issue with the code I think needs addressing. The major weakness of the engine seems to be smoke, as in the game can become completely unplayable if you are caught in the wrong puffs of smoke. Not only does the framerate crash, but the code for handling movement/view becomes totally unstable. I realize that my iPad 3 is actually on the lower end of GPU power in actuality, but I bet this affects everyone. Is there a chance you can tone down some of the visual effects when it is obvious that there is a ridiculous amount of stuff going on? Spamming blunderbusses is obviously impossible in a long endless or co-op game... I played a 55 minute game with my lvl 54 Ranger and levelled up three times... And only died because of fps/control issues. Otherwise, this has shown itself to be a pretty much perfect game. Thanks again Foursaken, you guys really knocked one out of the park.
Why sir, I believe you are mistaken. We were not saying Foursaken was lying about the update. The people who said that the update was already out, that's who we were talking to.
I really wish Fours4ken would post some pics of update new hero since the update is no secret, and the Touch Arcade community is their bread and butter What is the big deal posting some teaser pics? We would all appreciate it as we wait some possible 2-4 additional weeks for Apple "validation" approval to the update.

It's funny. I wasn't able to beat level 19 with my knight and paladin despite numerous attempts, but was able to beat level 19 and 20 in 1 try with my level 13 engineer. For people who need help get up to +5 gold stone wall (the cost of this wall subtracts from the steel wall, you don't actually pay more in total) steel wall repair guy 4 ballista keep rebuilding ballista rinse and repeat It helps a lot if you have maxed out ,ballista ,steel wall and gold mine. When the long range bombers come out try to kill them asap that's it
To the developers / other experienced gamers: I have a question regarding progression. Is there a chart or something showing how the base stats improve as characters level up? I want to know this so I can determine how much SP I need to put on critical for my engineer and how much armor I need to put to get to 10. If they get armor boost as they level up then I won't bother leveling up armor. Also, for high level engineers, I have maxed out salvage , wall cost reduction. Should I max brotherhood then go for 100% crit? Should I be bothered with the other skills? Thanks
As a fellow Engy fanatic, I say you should go for Brotherhood, really helps with Riflemen and Blunderbusses. I also like the skill that summon a cat to the field for you, the name escapes me right now. Crack shot is decent for when enemies line up at your wall.
I have a 99 level Engy, and I maxed out all the skills and put 1 into the catapult skill - they get destroyed way too quickly, so I didn't bother getting that maxed out. Then 100% crit and rest in damage. I also put a few points into run to help a bit with kiting for this snail of a character.
