My suggestion is get +3 or +4 gold. Get 3 blunderbusses out while using your hero to kill off enemies. Next is get the forge out. This will double their firing rate. Now you can get more blunders out but if you could save for the dwarves hut. Once that is up with 4-6 blunders and the forge you should be in good shape. After that focus on building walls up and getting some mortars up. But I would say focus on the blunder, forge, hut combo. Worked for me.
Don't go wood wall, stone wall, steel wall Just raise up mines to +4-5 gold , then hold out until you can go straight from wood to steel walls It's how I survive... As once you hit steel wall, you can take 70 gold/damage before they fall.... I've seen walls hold out til 140 gold/damage before... I went through the whole campaign first with my knight and mostly solo , with no added units, you can whittle away the numbers while leading em' on the chase, but beware, if you're not observant you'll get surrounded , then slaughtered
That's where Ranger succeeds. It can pick off a group easy and clear nearly any units at the wall with one shot fire arrow. I guess that's what makes Ranger good as every class has something great about it.
I'm on the same boat as you and share the same mutual feelings since Bug Heroes. Heroes and Castles is easily my GOTY and have been playing it diligently since release date; nothing has come remotely close to piquing my iOS gaming interest this year so far. Funny thing is I have yet to play ANY of the online modes (solely campaign, siege, and endless modes), just been quietly sponging this thread in its entirety along the way. Looking forward to all the upcoming content Foursaken Media. Thanks for another solid keeper!
Uh, I just beat 19. It was hard, but I pulled through. I first made 2 gold mines. Then, three riflemen and a long beard. After that, I made a reinforced wall, kept kiting the Orcs with my Ranger, and spawned several giants(most o them died). Next up, the troll.
Finally, pulled off about 30 minutes on endless. I've devised a strategy that works well for me as a finally, level 54 Ranger I get my Gold Mines to +5 then I Build Dwarven hut followed by 2-4 (4 at most)Rifleman then build a forge and hire maybe 3-6 Blunderbusses. I then get a Captain's tent and build 2 Longbeards followed by Steel walls. After that I get a Repair Dwarf. Following THAT I get Cannon Towers. I save up money and by then, I'll be able to constantly supply a steady stream of new units. I had roughly 1500-2000 Gold before I lost a major handful. During this time you kill as you go, targeting OP units such as wraiths, trolls and Catapults. As a Ranger he can hit a catapult while still killing a wraith at the same time by just standing still. Occassionally, if you aren't paying attention, you can get hit and will need to heal. I kept my defences going for a good 30 minutes. You always have to pay attention though. Once my Gold Mine started to go, I was slowly getting overcome by the units. Then by the time half of both my wall units and ground units have fallen, my Economy also fell apart as well which resulted in me getting outnumbered by a substantial amount of units. This is the strategy I've been using to allow my Ranger to last longer. Even by just a few minutes. What makes this great is when the Wraiths come, if you're a good shot, fire arrow and line up ALL the wraiths in a straight line and BAM, they're dead. TL;DR 1. Build your economy to +5 Gold, all while killing the weakling enemies. 2. Save up for Dwarf Hut. Build a maximum of 4 rifleman, 2 two minimum. 3. Build a Forge and start hiring some Blunderbusses, roughly 3-6 is fine. 4. Hire 1 Longbeard then proceed to buy a Captain's tent(doesn't matter which order though). 5. While constantly repairing your wooden wall, save enough cash to upgrade it to Steel. 6. Prior to the suicide bombers, you should only need to use Fire arrow a maximum of 3-4 times as you need fire arrow to clear those first wave of bombers. 7. But before that, you need to finish adding all the wall units, which should look like this: 4 Rifleman- 28 POP 2 Longbeards- 16 POP 1 Repair Dwarf- 6 POP Total- 50 This prevents you from wasting an ass load on wall repairs and allow you to build an economy based on replacing units that die during battle. 8. Build 4 Mortar Towers. 9. When the first 'Uber' tier units and such come, such as Mummy King, Wraith, Cats, Orc Chiefs and such, single them out. No matter what. Either that or kite them within blunderbuss Range. If there is a handful of units, just fire arrow them. 10. Survive. Always remember to keep an eye on your troops because you may not be aware that a wraith is just absolutely raping them. 11. That's about it.
^ So do longbeards stack? I thought this was nerfed in an update, but if not, then I'm definitely trying it
ok so. I lasted 23 minutes in endless with another high level paladin. If he wasn't so good I'd have quit because my connection was really laggy. He killed the back field and and i patrolled for wraiths/healed the blunderbusses. Well we got that crazy thousands of damage thing happening. I switched from blunder busses to clerics and and their crazy healing stack made the units immortal almost. then around 20 minuts he got disconnected and the clerics got dispersed and like the catapults killed my keep. I can't wait for the update, hopefully things will be more stable/less buggy.
Is there a bug in the forum - says page 373 out of 380, but can only get to page 373. Don't want to be missing out on anything here :-( Hopefully just a bug then.
Lol i'm getting that too iv'e tried to get to that page many times now to see what new posts i'm missing out on lol!!
Happened again. Though no lag this time. Crazy thousand damage stuff. This time I got dced around 26 min. Oh the first time, I got a legendary and second other a rare. The legendary was +100 heath and +20 armor. It seems pretty useless to me.
Yeah...it's not THAT great...I quit after updating and losing a bunch of levels, emailed foursaken and they were like f that we ain't responding to none of your emails.
