Seriously???? Congrats on finding something. I've been getting around an hour before getting wasted in coop and endless, regardless of style of play. Can you give us embattled but determined players any hints at your secret of success?
Basically you could get into a situation (after killing many trolls) where only a few mummy lords are left for you to kite and even weaker enemies at the wall. The wall damage never exceed 70-80 per cooling period, and you know how fast mummy lords walk (slow.....), plus they never desert you .
Good to know, thank you! I'd been using my knight in latter stages doing nothing but strike, charge, taunt, run, snipe a troll that returns to the wall, run back into keep after enough damage and time for the 3 actives to cool down - then repeat. I don't buy any units at all, just walls, +1 gold and extra armor. I think you've found something extremely cool if you can make it 2:12:00!
Yeah I know the point you're talking about, but won't you hit penalty waves if you let them linger too long? Also, I wish that units and buildings (aside from steel walls) actually mattered in the long run. I find myself not bothering to build or use any troops anymore just so I can save the gold for wall repairs. I don't know how it could be better balanced, but it's starting to get a tad stale now. Oh well, new heroes coming
Completely agreed on useless units. They're ineffective and worthless by a certain point. I suppose the developer doesn't want people sitting back and watching units do the dirty work, but if they could at least be proportionally strengthened like the enemies are as the battle goes on, they'd potentially be useful in some ways. PS - wraiths make the point about units kind of moot, now that I think about it. Anything on the ground is dead unless the hero spends more time babysitting giants and everything else to make sure wraiths aren't shredding them. Which they eventually always do.
I tried to maintain my defense for as long as I could (well past 40 mins) using my maxed out pally, and running back and forth like crazy killing cats and recharging unit health. After killing waves of trolls, I might have hit a lull point in the game where the trolls are no longer spawning as long as you don't kill any more enemy. I was expecting some punishing waves too after a period of no killing and just kiting, but that never came, which is why I PMed dev.
Foursaken: I hope I'm not being annoying here... but any chance we get the update in before the weekend?
Wishful thinking but, nope. It's gotta go through the same process all other updates do. Sure I'd love for it to be available ASAP too, but I also know its not realistic once in Apple's hands...
Does anyone else lose the game from multitask if you come out to do something else? Seems to be ok for a few mins if checking mails or whatever. But for a longer time, it resets he game and I lose any progress I've made from when I paused the game. Slight annoyance :-/
Yeah, exact same thing. Might be a limitation on the iOS side causing it, as I notice the same thing with other apps.
Ok glad, so it's not just my phone then! Can Foursaken offer any advice? Serves me right for having a sneaky go on the work bogs!!!
It totally depends... last update took 2 weeks to approve. We haven't submitted yet either - still have some Q&A to do... Yeah, its an iOS thing. As soon as you minimize, the device controls which apps to shut down based on RAM usage, so usually high RAM games like H&C are first to go. Basically the less stuff you have running at the same time in your multi-task bar, the less likely stuff will automatically be shut down.
That would be excellent to have for those times when units are surging ahead to the middle of the field. Once the smoke from mortar and cat shots start landing everywhere it gets difficult to see what units are where. A wraith sniffing seeing eye dog isn't too much to ask for, lol.
If allied units scaled along with enemies, then it wouldn't actually be getting harder, that's the problem... If we could go back in time, we would've capped the hero levels at ~50 or even less, tbh... super high level heroes are really messing with the unit vs hero balance in all modes. Endless mode for ex was never intended to last more than 20-25 minutes MAX - unfortunately we clearly didn't do a great job testing with super high level heroes or heroes with super legendary runes... which of course skews the entire gameplay towards your hero. But who knows... you may see in the future hero resets, back to level 50
Woah! I've unloaded massive amounts of time and energy turning my heroes into an army of one. It definitely enriches the experience for a lot of other folks as well (you see the joy people have discussing character development right in this thread). That we can take heroes to the next levels is part of the games allure! Edit: and, even if you did scale heroes back to level 50 max, someone would find a way to get through the 25 minute barrier anyway.
I just look for the endless spam of 1's and know it's a wraith... I hate it when I have 3 or more giants attacking one wraith all the while letting the other mobs through...
31:14 in endless with a lvl 36 dwarf. BOO-YA! Nowhere close to amazing but it's a personal best haha.
Hey Forsaken, Possible to make changes to the GUI? I was hoping you can - make the heroes' skill button adjustable (on the ipad it too far away form the attack button) - make the unit and the building menu accessible without exiting (thus unpausing the game)
