Create Levels? and how many trolls can you sustain? I've been loving this game since it came out. Amazing amounts of varied play. Fun to set own goals like staying outside of the castle as long as possible. It would be very cool to have a level creator where you can set up your own stream of baddies (and even limit what the other person can do, like no giants, no mortars; limit their level etc). In endless mode, what the max number of trolls you can sustain before they beat down your wall? I got it up to eight once - having to kill the catapults is key.
some of the rare and legendary runes are absolute trash haha. it's interesting to see how the algorithm works. one thing is for sure, all runes are not created equal, even within the same rarity class.
I'll second that. I have 32 legendary runes, and most of them are less than legendary. Except for a few, like +70 damage, I won't use most of them.
Agreed. There are two bugs with runes, but making them public on a forum is the worst thing you can do, especially when the developers are working hard for us and bringing new content for free. So, hold your tongues! Keep in mind that getting legendary runes before last update was pretty common. As long as you lasted over 15mins in endless or co-op - you were guaranteed one. It was never meant to be so and was adjusted accordingly. I have about 25, 10-15 pre update and rest in the updated version. Anyone up for co-op?
Correct, just means a better chance of getting one, but doesn't affect quality of the rune (which is a matter of individual preference).
I have an OCD for this game. And in coop the longer running performances can result in a legendary (even after the update). Usually 30 minutes or more survival is needed to get one, but I've gotten them on less where the damage inflicted was very high.

Question, does the chance of legendary or rare rune increase only based on the time, or does it take level of hero into account? I've only got one legendary rune since the update, and it was shitty +200 health, which isn't useful for any of my characters. My internet and the bugginess of coop make it hard to get very far without one or both of you disconnecting, I figure my best bet is endless, but I've lasted twenty minutes with out a rune of any kind and haven't got anything over uncommon in endless.
I can get to the 15 minute mark no problem but then I get hammered when three trolls appear at the same time. What's the secret for getting to 30+ mins?
Having a high level hero and a good legend rune (+1 or +2 gold income) always helps. . After that it's 3 basic phases for me, each can last a good 20 mins. Phase 1 - Build up a strong wall defense while fending off easier enemies and saving up as much gold as you can. Common route is steel wall, forge, dwaven hut, 4 mortar towers, full wall units with rifleman and at least one longbeard , a full line of blunderbuss Phase 2 - Most difficult phase. Trolls will start coming in droves, as well as scores of wraiths, necros, and cats. Try maintain the blunderbuss line as long as you can, while running around killing those aforementioned enemies. Don't forget long range archers, as they can hide behind trees and seriously damage your keep. Later on replace blunderbuss with Giants can hold your defense a bit longer Phase 3 - Your defense will eventually collapse, and your last resort is to kite the enemy away from the wall and keep healing the wall. This is where Paladin is at its best with its invunabulity/heal skills. Keep reminding those trolls to follow you by hitting them when they start turning towards the wall. Kill any cats and archer while you are at it.
Bug Any word or update from Foursaken about the bug where enemies get hit through the walls by giants? This seems to happen to me all the time when I have giants out.
You can get any Rune any way... we've upped the Legendary crafting rate a tad in next update, just fyi. There will be Checking it out, should be fixed in next update. As for update status... the appeal isn't going very quickly, so if we don't hear back from Apple today, we're just going to submit a new update with the hotfix AND the new hero that was supposed to come out in the next update...
