Can you get all the legendary runes from crafting or are some of them from playing through the game only?
You can get them by crafting. Once I crafted 40 runes, and 3 were legendary. Another time, there were none.
Anyone try an Evil castle rush? Generally you bide the hero into attacking your one or two cultists (even better if they go for your tree) and then rush their wall/gold mines/keep with skeleton runners and the like. With you beating on the wall either they make peons and lose their wall immediately or they just repair an lose it a little later, either way unless the hero is capable of harassing you and keeping you from doing damage, or event better simply attacks your tree, it's a viable strategy.
yep. And the most hilarious thing happened today, I was starting a game with my mage- i killed a few cultists, but then had to leave. So i ran back behind the wall and instead of quitting I just put the ipad to sleep, figuring it would quit automatically. I came back a few hours later and it said "Victory" haha. So bugged
Eh, I find grinding pointless most of the time, the game is more fun and challenging just playing though normally, trying to get through each level based on strategy.
I tend to agree. I was looking forward to the Ranger before the update, but the bramble thing threw me off and it's just weird to see it pop up on the ground with each hit. Also I'd like to see the shooting action less jerky.
How do you beat a Ranger when all he does is wait until his fire arrow is ready and then he kills all of your cultists and standard bearers from his gate? I send a steady stream of skeletons and gouls but he kills my cultists and standard bearers faster than i can rebuild them and still send an army to the gates....
ATM I try and protect everything I have with my body as a mummy hero or a normal hero. Generally skeleton runners and protect cultists. Honestly fire arrows should just be nerfed that they can't penetrate a hero, so you can shield your cultists.
Is there a reason why I can't do shit without my game crashing on my iPhone 4S? VS crashes within seconds, siege crashes within a minute or two. Never had this issue with my ipad2
Search this thread. There are MANY tips about stage 19. Suffice to say, it can be beaten with the right strategy.
Lvl 19 like most lvls Clear walls as u update gold mine +2-3 then build walls up to steel Then slow your killing at walls and build 3 repair men The slower u kill the longer it takes for the harder waves to reach you. In meantime u get time and gold to update buildings and build troops. I recommend Blunderbuss/Cannon/Catapult building, Dwarf Hut, 30/50 blunder buss then 2 mortar and 2 Balista then u can try either catapults, Giants, dwarf gunners, long beard etc
I use that all the time. But if the hero knows what he's doing you have no chance. Just gotta summon peons at start and then kill your flag bearer. After that you can't summon skeleton runners anymore. Then the hero must kill as many cultists as possible but must come back in time to protect the walls (which should not be brought down yet). After he deals with majority of skeleton runners he returns back and kills (if you summon him again) the flag bearer and repeats the whole thing. You will have no dark energy if you keep doing this, but he will have a nice gold pile after two minutes.
Honestly this strat works better if the hero is a higher level, hence the evil hero being a higher level. (Not sure if anyone knows but the evil heroes level does scale with the good heroes, albeit not equally) because its easier for a higher level evil hero to take the walls down while the good hero is trying to kill your cultists than a lower evil hero. Also a good strat against peon spam is the wraith hero and the skeleton on kill spawn ability. Some guy tried to spam my skeletons with peons, I used that ability and then started owning his peons. Brought me to 35/20 cap on skeletons, needless to say at that point you don't even need dark energy, as long as you can escape the hero you're ok. He goes for your skeletons and you beat the wall down.
You don't go out and attack the walls by this strategy. You have to stay back and defend the bearer(s). It's a little easier when playing against a higher level, because you have a huge amount of dark energy at start. I didn't say peon spam. The peons are not used for attacking the skeletons, but for taking the damage and protecting the walls. That skill is pretty much worthless once the hero starts summoning the pikemen. Oh and that strategy of yours costs: - lyche 50 - rise from the grave skill 75 - bearer 50 - skeleton runners 35 - (at least) 4 cultists 120 ______________________________ = 310 You need ~ 300 dark energy to get out the first wave of skeleton runners out with the lyche and that skill. That's just more than you can afford to spend at start... That strategy would only work against a high level hero which would keep spamming peons and wouldn't attack your bearers.
I'm sorry but the way the game is right now, there's no defending your cultists right now against a relatively high level ranger, knight, paladin or Mage, (haven't played against many Engineers.) you'd be surprised how much you can do as a hero and a group of minions on their wall. People have to look at evil in a different way, it's not like good, you're not building yourself up to get stronger and stronger essentially, your goal is to also be flexible and to be able to attack in spurts.
