I have not observed any scaling. The faster you kill them the faster the tougher ones come out to play. Usually when I play with someone of a signifigantly lower level than me they have a hard time because the difficult mobs come out really fast.
With careful planning he may be stronger than others. For one, he's easier to move around and kill necros, catapults, bombers and snipers.
I'm really giving the enemy side a try but as much as I do I can say I feel it's a little imbalanced. In the early on things are ok but once they get to your source it's very hard to do anything. Don't get me wrong ive heating a lot of good people with the enemy side but there's deff a balance issue. I feel that maybe a slight buff to startup gold or even keeping the gold source in the back of the map would be better. I start the match with spawning a couple gold sources and usually some skeletons. Then I work on getting better enemies out. But within 3-5 minutes they got pike men coming and it's just impossible once they get to your gold source. They can kill them all and it leaves you with getting one gold per second and then it's over. There deff needs to be some tweak. And I'm almost positive if I played the best person that uses the dark side I can beat them at least 7-10 times.
Evil strength lies in their ability to keep the enemy occupied with hordes of super cheap units... they're expendable... that's the big difference between good and evil. You should ALWAYS have a 15+ army out of at least basic skeletons and ghouls, while you build up to a stronger army. With 2-3 cultists, there should never be a reason not to have a full army out. Anyway, I might have to take you up on that offer today (beating a good evil player 7/10 times), if you're up for it - got some work to do but maybe after lunch Which hero do you use?
I have my knight at level 87 but I still much prefer my 51 Ranger. With the ranger there is no need to even move around, I can kill catapults and necros from the doorway. He is especially good against the necros because if I do venture outside I can kill them with one hit and easily dodge their fireball.
We didn't scale co-op for a few reasons... if it scaled to always be the same difficulty for the player, you wouldn't get any enjoyment out of building your character up and then lasting longer, because it would just scale to get harder with your development. Everyone's time would be similar, whether you were level 1, or level 99... we wanted you to get in co-op as a low level, get beat down and be like "dang, I need to build my character up some more!" I understand some might not like it, but we balanced co-op to last from around 2-3 minutes as a new player, to 15-20 minutes as an average high level (I know there are some level 99s and other good players lasting for 30-60 minutes, but I don't think they're average). Especially on the mobile scene where people are less likely to have 2-3 hours to finish a co-op game
I particularily like playing as evil. There are just so many units to choose from and you can train units very quickly. I do however have a problem with the paladin chain knock-downs. I cant even hide by my tree because they will only knock me away.
Go for it. I love my ranger. I cant really say that he is over powered since it is a high skill unit. If his power is reduced people might not bother playing as Ranger since he can be tedious.
The way he can buff his Ballistae while kiting the usual annoyances is totally cheap. Not to mention he can trap kited enemies. I havent maxed the buff out on my ranger yet, but we're looking at what, 250% damage and range for 20 seconds every 55seconds? And like you said... He can snipe things easily with his Marksman passive. Add to that the fact that he can stilll clear mobs on his own with his Fire arrows, traps and spread shot. And for troll kiting, Brambles does everything. I think the ranger just does everything so well, more so than others.
I would have to agree with you on that. What do you think about the Treeman? I personally love those units. I rarely build units at all but if I do build a unit then it is a Treeman.
For me, Ranger is most rewarding to play as. Long range shots, low armour, low health, but great abilities - equals a high risk/reward hero. Those games where all your shots are just going exactly where you wanted are most satisfying.
Ranger is kind of meh to me... seems tedious to point the reticule and such. I love my knight, pally, & shaman though Maybe I dont have the patience for ranger or engy.
He's not exactly high risk. Well... not in this game. You can walk in and out of the gates and no one remembers they were supposed to attack you. And voila! Safe as a quadra condom while doin-it-yourself.
There is some kind of bug or exploit in versus...just played a guy Lvl 24 with 1700 rps, I was playing evil, built a bunch of units and cultists , got to making wraiths, he sat inside the castle making peons the while time, match lasted about 1:30 , his walls came down and my guys were beating in the keep, game ended suddenly and it said Defeat....
Hi all. Just checking to see if anyone else had this issue: just started to try siege and if I want to buy a new evil hero, I click on the pic under the hero tab, i think. (right?) When I do - the game crashes out to the iPhone home screen. To try and help the devs in case its a bug: I tried all other Heroes (mummy, lich-dude, and Gobble McUglygoblin) and they all crash it as described. I made sure I had enough money to purchase (tapping the hero when I don't does not trigger the crash, which is as expected). Do I need a banner/standard bearer guy first maybe? Haven't tried that. I will also try rebooting my phone and see if that clears it up.
