I had -4 building cost -4 unit cost I had 2 +5 critical and I had +25 health +3 armor. Every other runes I had we're duplicates of said runes
Geez, this game is flat out awesome. The replayability will always be there for this game because there is so much to do. Anybody know if the hotfix for MP went out? I can't connect to any MP Games. This game will always be on my iPod, it's that good!
Any of these are better than the one you mentioned. Starting gold really only helps to get one extra mine up early. If you save for 30 seconds, you can just buy it. The -4/-4 sounds pretty helpful. I'm not going to waste time giving you advice if you've already given up and deleted the game. Suffice it to say you should not be having the problems you are this early into the game. Level 11 or so, right? If you want to give it another shot, I'll help. Otherwise, it seems silly to try and convince you of anything. Either way, I think you're missing something obvious, and when it shows itself to you, you're going to have a "d'oh" moment and wonder why you couldn't see it before. After that, I think your perspective will change. If all you don't like is the difficulty curve, I think you should reinstall. If you have other issues that are greater than that, it would maybe be different.
Look, I'm not looking to get into a flame war over it. I've had several hours of work wiped out by bugs so I'm done. Thats it and that's all. It's a thread about the game so I see no problem with anyone sharing their experience with it, whether it be positive or negative. No where in the thread title does it say "praise only". Your opinion of my opinion is insignificant. People are spending money on IAP. If there are game breaking bugs out there, it should be reported on. Sure, the dev can restore it but, lets face it, that's pretty ghetto. If you enjoy it, all the power to ya.
First of all I'd like to say great game. Best strategy for me has been to get up to 3 gold mines. Then start putting up riflemen. Get 3-4 riflemen up then go with a longbeard. Then I add more riflemen. Then if needed upgrade your walls. Next priority is the dwarven hut. Then max out pop on wall with more riflemen. Next, if time and gold allows, build captain's tent. This works for me for all characters on all levels up to 19 which requires a different setup already discussed several times in this thread. I have a +20 damage rare rune. But the above strategy worked just fine even before I had said rune.
I'll give it another go because I do love the game and hopefully I have that moment you mentioned. I will reinstall and as soon as I find myself at a dead end I will look to you for help and advice. Thank you
I'm all about constructive feedback, but calling a game an "overhyped turd" isn't "reporting bugs", nor is it "sharing your experience". My opinion of your opinion might not matter to you, but you are doing the people on the fence a disservice by acting like a child in here. There have been bugs. It's an ambitious game. It's been out less than two weeks and every bug that has crept up has been patched or retroactively fixed by the developer. I've had your issue. With 3 of my 5 heroes. As soon as I realized it and brought it to this forum, Foursaken contacted me and fixed it. Spectacular customer service. Like I said, if you don't like the game, that's fine. But what you are complaining about is totally irrelevant. I'm not saying this for your benefit, I'm saying it for the benefit of everyone else reading your drivel.
Tell me what level and with what hero you'll be staring with. I'll try to run through it without much equipped and see if I can find some helpful advice.
Very tricky game. Took me a while to get a handle on it. 5 characters levels 30 to 45 and sometimes I still feel like I don't know what I'm doing. I think the game could do with a little less chaos. It might do it some good if it were more about strategy than focus. Even with a theoretically perfect strategy, one unlucky mistake and you're doomed. Gets a little frustrating, especially for more casual gamers. Those Grim Reapers in particular could do with some adjustment I think. Just one of these little buggers sneaks by you while you're chasing after catapults and your entire army is distracted and wasting firepower on him. Not suggesting a nerf, but maybe make them more like Trolls: bigger, badder, easier to spot and come with a warning label. Might give people a chance to deal with them more strategically. Just a thought. PS: everytime I read "Incoming Troll" I flashback to touch arcade forums.
If you are finding certain levels too difficult you can replay earlier levels to level up your characters and refine your strategy. I still go back to the first few levels with my level 27 engineer just to see how far he's come. Really don't understand how some people are having so many problems with the game. I've been playing since first week of release and have had no problems. Best game on App Store hands down.
I'm gonna start with the engineer, I won't have a problem until I reach stage 16. Every other hero ill be stuck at 11
For what it's worth, I was in agony trying to play Siege. Spent some time venting on here about it, too. I was very frustrated. Then, the other night, when I realized my heroes were a little broken and bugged, I tried again. Went for failing to success, albeit bottom-of-the-leaderboard success. Next game was a few minutes better, than a few more, now I have a pretty respectable time, and an entirely new perspective. That moment is out there. I clicked quickly with the campaign, but Siege was foreign and I needed a different outlook. A different horizon. I think, especially if you love the game, that you will find that soon.
Dl now. Hope I don't have to start over. Weren't people saying the cloud wasn't working for everyone?
People say a lot. It should be there. Give it a shot, and let me know. If you have time now, I'll run through whatever level you want simultaneously with you and see where any problems might pop up and how to resolve them. I'd also like to point out that I'm no ace at this game. I can get by, but I don't think I'm anything special. I do really like it and I'd consider it a missed opportunity if I had the chance to help someone else feel the same way and didn't take it. Anyway, my engineer is a pretty high level, but I can try with some other heroes. I'll remove runes and not use anything too OP and see where the choke points are. Maybe a fresh perspective will help.
Wow I just crafted a legendary rune with +50 gold and +1 gold mine is that a good rune? I think I remember hearing these are good?
My progress is still there with a few exceptions (everything after the update is gone) not a problem as its only 2 level ups with the engy and 7 with the archer. I have to run out now and I will get back to this in a few hours. Thank you for your offered help
+G is pretty handy in co-op, where you have a more limited number of slots to fit mines into, but I don't use them in campaign. I think the best runes are the -unit cost/-building cost ones, but that's just me. +D & +CRIT% are also very good. It kind of depends on your hero and his stats. If your armor is considerably less than base 10, an armor rune is helpful to prevent knock downs, if your damage is low, a +D is great, etc, etc, etc. What's good really depends on who you play with and how you play. All that being said, +G is never a bad thing
