Apart from a few glaring exploits and things like chain knockdown, I'm confident that Versus is actually pretty darn balanced. Cultists for one, are on the front lines because they are dirt cheap. The whole dynamic of the mode is that the good player should be raiding the cultists and standards constantly, while the evil player can easily rebuild them. The Good side on the other hand, has to spend a significant amount of extra money developing their economy, but at the benefit of having it more protected (though seigers, catapults, and longbows still have no problem taking down mines). As for XP, you gain XP for damage done by your hero, and by your units. You do gain a bit more (a small bit) for damage done from you hero, but you also gain XP by using abilities. So for ex, supporting your units with shield and heal will even the difference - more or less - with a hero like knight which does more direct damage. Yes Longbeard and Cpt Tent stack with Elven Arrows. But the ability is VERY powerful. tbh, we beat the campaign simply by maxing out archers and using that ability. They can shoot across the map, have over 2x firing rate of a rifleman, and deal some pretty darn good damage with the ability active. Its just like anything... you might not want to always build dwarves, but with Engineer its a better bet thanks to the Brotherhood ability. You should adjust what you build depending on the hero in general, and Ranger is now different. He works better with archers
Any tips on lvl 30? I do okay, then I get stomped by the two trolls. I'm too busy kiting them to be able to take out archers and catapults, then my mines get destroyed and it's game over.
I used to be like you. But cultists, drummers and skeleton banners have a good amount of health. I learned that because a guy was just spamming cultists making and I was taking a while to kill them.
Did my first versus game against a level 23 knight. Bought the 2x damage thing and goblin mushroom. It lasted a good 20-30 seconds.
Apparently 55 minutes on Co-op is not legendary enough for a legendary. What is your strategy against good-side archers? Everytime I play versus against an archer, they take out my tree in under a minute then take out me. How do you beat them?
I can't play a single game of coop or versus. It feels like it was better before the update. The update made it harder to get a legendary in coop and endless.
16 to 30 seconds. I don't think having a 5 second spawn on the tree timer in the beginning will change that either :s the hero dies within 5 seconds of the tree ...
Been a really casual gamer on my phone, but this game is phenomenal. Incredible variety in strategy and easy to get hooked on progression. I'm a huge fan of the innovative play style and how well multiplayer integrates into the end game. That all being said, did coop and level 31 get much, much more difficult since the patch? It seems like wraiths come out in the second or third wave now and while I was getting to 20+ minutes solo in coop before, I'm getting stuck around 12-13 minutes now. Could be I've been level 35-45 since the patch and 25-35 on those end levels before, too.
Random question for everyone: what are your favorite skins? Each hero has 3 skins(including default) and some even change his model a bit, not just the looks. I find that the engy skins are pretty plain, and the knight's are pretty much a different color. The pally has a cool shield on his 15 crystal skin, and that makes him one of the better ones imo. For the ranger, I like the Elric one because the brightness of his armor makes it harder to make out his silly hat. The black one, however would be a lot cooler if it were not for those packs on him. Doesn't fit that much. Btw forsaken, will future updates ever include a ranger unhooded(or unhatted) or maybe even with a new thing to put on his head? I keep on thinking of him as a jester of some sort with his pointy hat.
I think warrior's 15 skin and paladin's 15 skin are the best, even though warrior is my least favourite class. I like mage's skin as well...just the smoke and pole make me hard to see what is in front of me.
Id pay for an option to shrink character models so i can actually see Pay for new hero who is smaller than a dwarf and uses automatically guided spells so i don't have to aim too much... Make his damage less to compensate and allow us a auto fire on and off toggle on him
My Ranger is bugged As you can see he is 0 on all stats at lvl 14 I was alreadt stuck on stage 20 now it's impossible My gamecenter account is: Chaosprodigy Please advise
