I have the same problem with my level 27 paladin. His run stats at level 27 is 1.0. Now that you mentioned it, I think his run stat values were a lot higher prior to equipping a rune of +10 run. After removing said rune, the stat dropped to 1.0. Also, does that mean I should remove +35 att rune from my ranger? Thanks in advance.
I'm going to win! This will be my first win. After many, many losses. Thought I'd share. It's not over yet, but I have the upper hand for the first time ever. Psyched.
Yeah, good work. I played Siege about 10 times, and each time things are looking good - I have 7 cultists pumping me cash, and I'm overwhelming the hero with swarms of skeletons, but once his Pikeman start appearing, they are killing my baddies faster than I can produce them. Maybe I'm not using the buffs at a right time or something, but 5mins and I'm done.
Those who said "once you get it, you get it" were right. I ended up winning that game, 11 mins or so. Near last on the LB. Played another, and shaved it to 8 mins. Next game was 5 mins. If you want a hint, I'd be happy to oblige. But figuring it out has a certain kind of reward, too. I was ranting about how bad I sucked last night and really, I wasn't in the rhythm of the game. It's almost a dance. Seriously, though. Once you get it, everything opens up.
Phew! Took forever to catch up reading this thread! Mage is awesomely fun. I worry about his scaling later on... Does dmg stat increase skill dmg? Either way, he's a blast for campaign and I'm flyin thru the levels with him! Ranger seems like he could be fun, but there's something just too fundamental missing from him since he's a twitch-type hero: ability to hold shots. I don't need to do more dmg, but if I'm gonna "feel" like an archer, I need to be able to hold the shot until I'm ready. The movement speed penalty should be enough cost for me having the power to release the arrow when I'm confident of my shot. Having that put in plus a respec option (to help with stat bugs mainly) would be epic!
Cheers gentlemen! I will give it a try. If I think about what wipes out my pikemen and blunders, this makes perfect sense. Up for a co-op game any of you, or are you all sieging away?
I have a +1/+2. I'm sure there is +2/+2 somwehere. It seems like everyone has mixed emotions about each of the new characters. I don't play Mage often but I certainly like the concept. In most games the mage is a low health, fragile unit that has hard hitting area attacks. I like that he has huge health that he consumes for spells, yet he can also do physical attacks. However he certainly has some odd wacky look to him, but got to give credit for the originality. I guess my main issue is the smoke gets in my way of seeing the battlefield and also that once the skills are maxed out their attack power will not increase. So adding points to damage will only affect physical attacks. I have to admit though when playing with a Mage on coop they look quite intimidating with all the smoke, chrystal and lightning flashing around. It's like they are a moving circle of destruction.
Ranger isn't for everyone. As for me I just hold the fire button and keep launching the arrows. I try to quickly line up my next target immediately after I release the arrow. Sure some times the arrow is off course, but I'm getting better at it, and some times those stray arrows still hit a unit or I get a spread shot and hit my target anyways. Just send those arrows flying.
I'm considering ignoring damage and going crazy on the mages health, which is, for all intents and purposes, ammo. Also, using the skin with the smaller stature helps a bit with the size of the character. Doesn't do much for the smoke, but the actual model takes up less of the screen.
Wow just took the advice for the siege, and they are right it is easy once you start building the right unit. Took me 3:41. Seems too easy now. Maybe I will slow don't he pace and try to get a more full experience and experiment with the evil hero abilities to become more familiar with it.
