Foursaken, any suggestions on how to counter a ranger in multiplayer? I am currently 38 wins 18 losses playing evil every chance I get. I took your advice earlier and am doing ok countering rushing paladins and knights. I have the most problems lately with rangers and even some engineers. The ones who come up far enough to pick off my cultists while lobbing shots at my tree. I can't get any significant units to attack and I'm just a sitting duck. Thanks!
Those of you playing both Siege and Versus... Which do you find less forgiving, the average human in Versus or the AI in Siege?
Against Ranger, I'd quickly try to go as many skeleton runners as possible. A ranger cannot deal with hordes of fast moving targets well. Hopefully it'll either force him to retreat into his walls, or you can use the distraction to try to get into the fray yourself. Remember, all it takes is a few good hits to really put the beating on ranger. If you can get into the mid-game, then it gets easier. Go for goblin snipers and mummy runners. Get a Siege Wagon to use as heavy cover, which will allow your units to move into range, unimpeded.

To be fair there are lots of elements in this game that you are unlikely to encounter in reality... Umm no wait ... everything in this game needs you to suspend disbelief apart from the grass and the wood and the stone bits ! Lol
Not sure how this works, on my ranger it doesn't matter what the evil guy spawns, in 24 seconds ( fastest time so far is 16 seconds) the tree and the evil hero is dead and the game is over. Just ignoring everything and gg.
Ok I got spanked again. This may sound dumb, but what ones are the skeleton runners? None of them seem all to fast to me. Oh and on a side note, if anyone on here goes by "cracken1021" you're a knight rushing sob! lol. To each their own and I have yet to stop you even with foursakens suggestions. That said, ill be happy when this type of tactic is not rewarded. It feels like a wasted match, there's just no fun in it.

Yes, you build your own mines and spend your own money. This is why a +1 or +2gold legendary rune comes in handy, as you only have two slots for mines with the third one outside the walls, which pretty much gets destroyed right away anyway.
K update is just about ready to submit... are we missing anything pressing (balance wise)? Remember, not looking to make sweeping balance changes in this hotfix, just fixing major imbalances and exploits. Btw, exact stats for Wormwood tree regrowth will be game time/4, up to a max of 60s (what it currently is)... so at 20s into the game it'll regrow in 5s, at 1min it'll regrow in 15s, and at 4 minutes is when it will be optimal to kill the tree and do some hero hunting. This will REALLY put a damper on rushing... not sure I even want to eliminate rushing this bad, but... guess we'll see how it plays out.
