I know my rune isn't working in versus 1gold / 10 damage. And it's not possible to one shot the evil hero even with a 75 damage rune and my level 42 ranger, let alone a level 5 one.... Either it was a lag death (happened to me, you can't hit or see damage numbers then bam your dead), or as you say an exploit.
Yes it is actually. Level 5 hero with level 5 marksman and a 70 damage rune will do 400 damage on max range. A skeleton scaled up vs a lvl 5 hero has 400 hps Wait, so are you saying your damage rune IS working? You said you couldn't one shot an evil hero with your 75 damage rune...
I'd love to see some stats after a game is over. Stuff like: Total Minion kills Your total kills Co-op partner total kills Tower Kills... Maybe even break it down by type of unit Archer kills Pikeman kills etc Stats are fun! And it'd be nice to see if those archers do actually kill anything.
For the engineer, I level his wall/tower discount and fortification(this protects gold mines too, so use it when you see a wave of the gnome goblin things) ability up and used the mortar tower to mow down the little goblins. then run around shooting the garden gnomes and try to avoid orc attention. I'm actually stuck here as well with the archer. I can't pick off the the goblin things because the orcs fill the arch way, and when I try to leave archway and pick them off, I draw the horde of goblins attention. the tree doesn't seem to be much use, he's distracted by the little gobblins. and if i don't pic them off right away, they destroy my fully upgraded keep in no time. Any suggestions?
Game is so much fun! Love it! Really cool to see the dev active in the forums too. It's development and support with a community like this that will make mobile gaming excel into the future.
For some ODD reason stages that I was really struggling/failing on, I complete with no trouble using Mage & Archer. (Plus it helps to upgrade the peons & archers.)
oh so i finally did it on archer, the plus damage rune was really helpful, both in clearing the wall with fire arrows and picking off the gnomes. Yeah, the mage is way cooler even though I'm warming up to the ranger a bit.
I can't speak for the mage, and I only have a little experience with the Archer, but, Fire Arrow allows you to pierce through multiple enemies and Marksman increases your damage the further away your shot hit-confirms. You should definitely try to max out those 2 first, at the very least. As for which one you should unlock first, I would say marksman because of that extra distance damage. Afterwards, unlock Fire Arrow, then after that, max out whichever you find more useful.
Man the Knight really has lackluster abilities/weapon animation attacks compared to the others now he is definitely the weakest. He'd need to double attack always with a few other buffs to average out in comparison. But I like his look the best ;(
Mage you want all three active abilities, so you can use on while the other is on cooldown. So i'd put one in each, and one Life Channel to start. The other passive abilities aren't that useful to me so far- much better to find a water rune of some sort so you recover health. That's more useful than the other runes for the mage. I leveled up lighting first, it's good for killing high hp enemies and large groups. But burn and frost are useful too, frost for managing groups of enemies and burn is great for armored enemies.
I definitely thought the paladin and engineer were easier for most levels. The knight required more strategy.
