They're in my top 3... I hate those things... Especially as another hero besides Knight, since with Knight you can just slash em like twice and they're dead. With Engineer or Paladin you have to keep attacking them.
I never seem to have a huge problem with any kind of bomber. My main problem is probably the archers, since you don't even pay attention to them until a mine is destroyed, and they spawn all the time. Also, after the update, the most annoying unit is the sniper as ranger, since they kill you in like 3 hits. One has to sneak up on them, use the trap, and hope for a few crits and spread.
Just wanted to co-sign for a +EXP rune! On the same note, I got really spoiled with the legendary runes pre-update. Haven't gotten one since updating in about 3hr+ of play. Good ole legendary rune times are long gone hah! Would be cool if you could get extra runes or rewards for streaking a few consecutive wins in VS. or unlocking a new skin for let's say reaching a milestone like 50 wins or something. Are you guys planning to add some more achievements?
Ninja... keep your fingers crossed for a gifting option in a future update then! Good thing I stocked up. Got about 20. I know some of you are rocking 50+, but I'm just happy I was an early adopter in this case. Also, I'm shocked this is not keeping a steady top 10 position in the App Store (US). This is so good, and I understand initially the game has done well, but I feel it's still criminally slept on by half the iOS world. They must not know this gem exists!
So we're looking into a few things for versus mode for this hotfix... for one, we'll be doing something about the perma knockdowns for sure Either lowering hero knockdown chances, eliminating hero knockdowns altogether, or doing something like "can only get knocked down once per 15 seconds" type of thing. We're currently debating an invulnerability time for the evil tree as well, something like 1s per good hero level, and/or scaling HPs for the tree per hero level. The rushes are counterable for sure, but we don't necessarily want to promote that type of gameplay. I'm not sure if this is something people will learn to counter eventually or not. Also have to be very careful with buffing evil... I personally think they may have an edge at it is, even with the rushes I'll be playing a bunch, so if you see Brother_GRIM, that's me
THANK YOU great ideas and i do think that evil can become extremely powerful, and now with less 45 second games, they should start to shine through. You might consider looking at the balance of extremely high health units like the giant and siege tower in lower level games.
like 1250 rp 100% wins on good side for sure (unless i disconnected once) maybe a 25% wins on the evil side?
Love the game. My favorite iOS game period. I have completed the campaign with engineer and he is now at level 33. I am stuck trying to play evil. I can't last but maybe 3 minutes after playing about 20 games. I just get overwhelmed. Too many options and just cant find a combo that can even touch the walls of the enemy. Their archers keep me away too.
Am I the only person who gets really dizzy using melee weapons with the knight? I just got the game, and I feel like the camera spins uncontrollably whenever I hit an enemy, even after lowering the sensitivity.
Interesting. I usually hate anything that spins, yeah I'm looking at you teacups and merry go rounds, but can't say I have experienced what you're talking about here.
I used to play evil. Just recently I tasted the fun of paladin rushing. Evil spam is actually easy against beginners. Hahaha
Forget the elf ranger, forget the knight or the paladin, the Mage is simply AWESOME. He actually gets stronger during the game with life channel, and considering that your own magic takes your health you can become indestructible. This Mage could kick Gandalf's ass IMO. Plus his special unit costs as much as a knight but are way more effective.
My main frustration with this game is so often I'm trying to run or move, but instead I move the camera up (rather than my character moving down the field). Is the left joystick only usable if its on a certain part of the screen (it seems that if my finger slides up a bit I make the camera rotate rather than walk or run).
