    For anyone wondering if iPhone 4 is capable of surviving all max graphic setting, here's a screenshot from the castle. Notice the unnecessary shadow flooding the screen. And yes, it's still playable. I can still run around the castle.

    Those are definitely not shadows as much as they are missing textures (memory limitation probably).

    two questions.
    1. how many waves total are there?
    2. in versus mode it lags pretty bad. and what is this horse knight thing running at me right at the start while the game is lagging and im beaten within seconds flat??? is that supposed to be a joke or some sort of dick move in combat??

    other than that. awesome game!!

    2. That's called Knight. It's unlocked after you upgrade your crystal to certain level. It's not a joke or dick move, rather a legit strat to take out your banner man. There are tons of real dick moves in VS which I won't mention here ;)

    ive been through all the upgrades i was just suprised at playing versus for the first since im completely new to this game i never played the first one. but im up to wave 30 now and cant get through it!! holy crap balls is it hard or at least to me!!

    for any others new or old wondering about strategy i use
    3 bannermen, captain , footmen, elvish hunters (best range guys IMO) a paladin for the undead stuff and the snipers on the walls oh and healers too.

    Yeah, no... That won't do it. The developers said that wave 30 is not supposed to be this hard and that there aren't supposed to be so many siege trolls.

    But this wave is still pretty easy if you are using the right units.
    First get 3 bannermen. I'm sure your hero will be able to protect them. Then start with spawning ice mages (and research Mage's Fortune) then, once you have 3 ice mages on the walls, go with two greybeards. Once high health units start spawning go with elven snipers (and research Fast Shot and Warrior's path) and at least two pathfinders. Get 4 greybeards and if neccessary a 4th bannerman. Summon a repairman if neccessary. With excess Command Points summon Fire Mages. The other research slot can be used for Generals Rally.

    The only thing you'll have to take care with your hero are the catapults.

    Having all those units I mentioned at level 5 also helps.

    how do i get these fire and ice mages? i hear i need to unlock them from ice temple or something?? where is that or how do i get to it?

    Is a +1 hp regen rune really worth legendary status? I don't think I would use it if it was +10 hp regen.

    Also, am I the only one that thinks the runesmith skills for 2-handed hammers should be changed to all hammers? Not sure why it has to be so specific.

  14. That is an awesome looking dwarf... he could fit into Mad Max haha! Great rune as well!

    For those of us not using exploits to get diamonds, I recommend conquering all the waves with each hero. That equals 450 diamonds... plus the 135 for conquering 15 of the waves.

    The achiecements are a great way to get it done.

    Also, buying and supporting through IAP :D

    If you complete each wave with each of your 9 heroes, you get:
    - 330 crystals just for completing the waves
    - 135 crystals (you will definitely level each hero to level 15 during that)
    - 135 for completing all waves to 15
    - 450 for completing all waves to 30

    And that's a guaranteed 1050 crystals.

    Nice but I'd never have the time to play through tha game with nine separate characters o_O I found it easier just to buy some crystals with cash :D
    Says that tho I wouldn't mind having one of each character set up to be each different class, just to try them all out.

    This doesn't work. 3 ice mages + 4 greybeards is 42 population. That only gives you 1 elven sniper. Are you banking on the ice mages getting killed? IMO you don't need any ice mages for wave 30.

    Enough for 1-2 legendaries on average.

    Yea, I don't see why anyone would level 9 characters.

    Having just 3 (each race) and respecing their skills makes way more sense, especially now that skill reset is going to cap at 30 crystals.

    Both tactics work.

    And you will probably want to upgrade all units and get the castle upgrades, which costs 714 crystals (not including towers). So you are left with very little, but beating waves obviously isn't the only way to get crystals. You get a lot from selling items, treasure chests and mainly from conquered territories, even without "exploiting" it.

    Does it rely on your hero to do anything? I haven't tried. Ice mages stun... but I don't picture them doing enough. How important are the pathfinders? What's the point of warrior path/fast shot if you'll only have 1 sniper?

    4 greybeards + 3 elven snipers works even if your hero since in the castle the entire wave. You don't need any pathfinders if your units are upgraded, so your ground troops are basically entirely for delaying the trolls.

    Not being rude, just curious.

    Leveling my 4th, 5th, and 6th right now. Not much else to do. I've figured out the melee playstyles for the three races, working on the ranged for now.

    Repeaters I could find do about 150 damage lategame without rage/forge; should be fun. I think gun dwarves are only viable with a berzerk tree though, or else you won't be doing enough damage to be relevant. Might switch to a rifle instead of a repeater. Best one I've found so far is +4 damage 50 AP, rather lackluster but eh.

    Also trying a lategame bow elf and human battle mage with 2 projectile staves. Cross bows might be better than bows imo, if only based on the ease of aiming alone...

    I think it's really interesting that ranged heroes have very low stamina requirement for the weapon attacks, seeing how you spend most of your time standing completely still. The idea of running and kiting with ranged heroes doesn't work as well due to the difficulty of aiming, ESPECIALLY aiming bows. Also, I'd love to have a "Fix y-axis" option for aiming guns/staves/cross bows. It would make things a LOT easier, seeing how there's no benefit to headshots anyway.

    Also I want to offer this as a general tip. +melee damage is treated as a perk, so it won't be affected by any of the skills. Stuff like +% dual wield, reckless, etc won't affect it. However, I've found that the flat +damage runes count as base damage and thus are affected. This means +20 damage is generally better than +25 melee for normal attacks on everyone that's not an elf (elves have no +% damage). Also, +melee damage won't affect warrior blow/guillotine/sword strike, where +dmg will.

    I still have a hard time picturing anybody getting anything close to a set of equip that they want. Have fun getting 22 damage 3 STA swords, +10% wide angle attack chance armors, and +1 hp regen runes.
