found a bug, possibly major issue that may have been discussed before. i found a cape and merged it with my legendary armor. after i did it, it takes the name and rarity of the uncommon lesser cape. from the stats you can see it's still legendary stats. this happened to me with a shield and i panicked and i deleted the "uncommon" shield with the legendary stats on it because i wasn't careful. it was a really hard to get shield too
Forging caused my game to crash the one time I did it so I haven't touched it since. It seems to have issues by reports here so just gonna leave it alone until they say it's fixed.
Maybe it's just me, but the difficulty of this game can be punitive. I've lost stage 7 several times (the archers kill my hero quickly), which results in the difficulty of beating back an enemy attack on another territory jumping from 3, to 7, to 12. As a player who just isn't very good, this is discouraging and makes me not want to play. Is there a way to offset this, or am I screwed for the rest of the game? Thank you for any tips.
Hint: Some units prioritize hitting enemy wall units (if those killing you were on the walls), and some units prioritize locking down enemy ranged units. Make good use of your units early on in the game until you have better defenses for your hero. If you force your hero to do everything, you wont go far in this game.
Thank you for the hint. I summoned two bannermen to start, then used the shield knights hoping they would attack the skeleton archers but still got overwhelmed. Maybe I need to research my units better.
I replayed the game several times from scratch and it turns out that it can become really difficult if you mess up. Constantly conquer territories. Only go and try to beat a wave on your main castle once the timer reaches zero. If you find yourself having no territories and all surrounding ones are 20/20, then I suggest you better restart the game, since it'll take quite a lot of grinding to get out of that. PS: I hope you are using Shield Knights in that wave. If you still have trouble beating a wave, you can always resort to mercenaries or exploits (did you know you can push your bannermen inside the castle walls?)
First forge takes the rarity of the "stats" item. Second forge takes the rarity of the "visual" item. Third forge takes the rarity of the "stats" item. You can figure out the rest. Just you, I don't think there's a bug with it, probably something else. Plus, you can have stuff like this :
Just wanted to say that the wikia page is becoming quite awesome. Still needs a lot of work, but we're getting there.
Dont forget to back your shield knights with damage dealers like pikemen. Oh, and your shield knights need to be upgraded at least once so they can close in on the archers faster. Also, what class are you currently using?
I suggest you go with wood elf warriors in wave 7 instead. They have much higher dps and they run, plus there are a few ghouls that show up in that round. There are some Skeleton Shield Bearers in that round however, so you should focus on those with your hero. But mainly Shield Knights.
Finally beat it. I pushed my bannermen into the castle and summoned wave after wave of shield Knights mixed in with a few Elven warriors here and there. That did the trick. Thanks again.
They are. If I recall right, you get them after wave 4 or 5. Maybe 6, I can't remember. Or 3. Thanks Elsa. Also, on a side note, I finally tried out the 4 greybeards thing, and holy hell, Elven Archers (This is both units fully upgraded) hit 960-990s, and Riflemen hit for 1.2k+ Looks like I found the best OP wall strategy. That is... Until I get those Ice Mages.
Elven Snipers will do 8-12k. More with buffs. I do really hope it gets nerfed, even though FM says it's intentionally, it FEELS like an exploit.
