hahah i love that pic! which archers? i mean so i have to buy the war elephant, then i buy archers? wall or siege?
Both Elven researches are top tier IMO, and are both my favorites. The Mage upgrade research are favorites too. I rarely see recommendations for mages here, but i really like the AOE damage in conjunction with the AOE stun they provide. 200 Command Points is pretty solid in waves, but pretty lackluster in endless since the effect is one time. It could help you early game, but i'd prefer persistent effects the entire game. As far as hero-specific researches go, my favorite is easily the one that prevents knockback and flinching.
interesting, by both elven you're referring to the elven health/damage + as well as the elven 25% ranged chance? hope this isn't a stupid question, but if i choose an elf hero, do those bonuses apply to me as well?
Let me throw more hard earned crystals/IAP at you, Foursaken! I'll gladly pay 6 to craft a class specific weapon... or any of the other scenarios tossed out here on the forums. By the way, since no jne posts or read the Block Fortress thread anymore, they just updated the game... gravity gun, heavy machine guns, shrink rays, improved graphics, PvP, gun drone, etc. Etc. Fantastic, especially the gravity gun
For outpost defends and sieges, I always start with generals rally. Defend after rally research: elite, elven, human Siege after rally: dwarven, then whatever. Doesn't matter it's over usually before dwarven even finishes. Defend is fun. I max out captains + an elven healer or two and watch everything wreck face. Just summon whatever after that. Siege I try to summon nothing but catapults and maybe some elves to defend them. (Always two banner to start ANY mission)
Depending on the enemy sequence, i sometimes mix it up to 3 starting bannermen before cranking out battle doods. Funny enough i have NEVER summoned any Catapults in this game since beta, and have only summoned to try out the other melee siege units. The only siege unit i really use are those elf siege archers.
I've won many hard sieges with a bunch of foot men, iron helms or dryads and a hoard of the two types of dwarven siege units.. sorry not remembering their names. Love it if they would add difficulties higher than 20 in a future update... maybe two simultaneous sieges or a two tiered castle? Just brainstorming.
Two-tiered sounds fantastic, and i love the possibilities of sieging 2 outposts at once! One problem with the latter is how to add pathing to the units, but i like the idea.
I'm pretty sure there's almost no point in three bannermen at the start. Unless it's a longer mission and you have a 15% unit discount. But even then I'd rather start getting captains going on enemy kills.
My favorite siege unit is the rhino. They are damn near impossible to kill and can easily take down the walls plus crystal on their own. They take a little longer than other siege units though. I usually get one rhino out then just kick back and defend my walls. This is all assuming I don't just rush the castle with my hero.
Then you're missing out. The walls cap at ~1024 HP. Catapults do ~150 on an AOE, which clears wall units quite fast. When my dwarf was just a laddie, I pumped 3 out as an engineer and it was beautiful. I think wave 29 is doable with level 1 characters if you have a +100 CP run, maxed catapults, and a bit of luck (towers killing the necromancers). Don't quote me on this though.
I'm really surprised that hasen't came up in discussion yet. That's easily one of the best ideas for an update that I've read or even thought about!! both would be insanely fun I really hope foursaken sees that post
It would be pretty hardware intensive I think to have this going on... but tougher castles to conquer, maybe, would work. maybe H&C3
ya i don't see multiple castles working. all the lands have pretty clear-cut areas for where the siege castle goes, so they'd have to either alter all the existing lands or develop new ones and only those would have 2 siege castles. and that's before all the headaches such as targeting and AI come into play, let alone performance issues. let's see how things look after the update and the difficulty increases globally after wave 30 is defeated.
So I see bugged 0 STA legendaries with crappy stats, I've just got a few insanely high STA legendaries with crappy stats. Been trying to see if there's anything better than the epic scythe I have: Epic - 10 dmg, 15 ap, 50 crit, 20 sta Compare Legendary - 10 dmg, 15 ap, 25 crit, 40 sta Legendary - 10 dmg, 15 ap, 50 crit, 60 sta
