I've finished Wave 30s at Level 29 with my very first character, and on average Lv23-24 with my 3 other characters that have completed all 30 waves. This is without ever using exploits since this was back in beta. I have since gained more powerful equips and max unit and castle upgrades which should ease the completion on Waves 1-30, but im sure it would still be more or less Lv23 to complete all 30 waves without repeating any waves.
Some random comments/questions: Two words that rocked my world: WAR ELEPHANT!!!!! Love seeing these out in the field lol!!! Treasure Hunting: does anyone actually enjoy this? Sometimes it drives me nuts in the maps with a lot of grass and I have to scour the entire map when I'd rather be killing something. My advice - make it a 1 crystal optional cost to make it automatic. That way on average it's 0 gain/lost if you are lazy but you still get a chance for something better Co-Op: Is it just me or are there very few people playing? Keep getting No one online. And when I do get a GOOD connection I get really laggy performance and the other player generally drops out. This is on a Mini 2. I did end up trying on an iPad Air 2 and that seemed to help a lot, but that could have just been coincidence. Levels: Would be great if we could see what stats improve on level. I can tell my HP and mana seems to go up 1 point (I'm an elf) but does anything else change? I thought in H&C damage would improve with levels too but it doesn't seem to in this game, which is kind of a bummer. Even though I'm playing a "support class" (druid), it would still be helpful to get some damage boost. Also does level impact percent chance to hit? And are items level restricted? Uneven Weapon Stats: I've had very few Epic/Legendary drops, but the ones I got seemed to have pretty lousy stats. In contrast I've had some Common drops that seemed to have pretty good stats relatively speaking. Sounds like this will get balanced better eventually.
How did u do that what tactic did you use???? I dont understand how you stopped that giant troll onslaught? Pls explain as a few people have said they have but have not given any tactics?? Everything i have is maxed, and im level 34 with most perks, and to boot i consider myself very good and strategic and have decimated most on pvp, but this level 30 is crazy, pls explain as i have used their weakness as per the bestiary and it does not work. I have come up with one tactic back on page 154 of this thread which works but takes some effort...
Not much of a reader are you? Wave 30 has been brought up countless times this thread. I explicitly mentioned it 3-4 times, including most recently... page 154.
Well know i cant be arsed to go thru every post, if u can then u most not have a life lol again when i ask no one give any answers or tactics, which leads me to believe you have not done it? If u have strategies id appreciate a page number instead of a useless rebuttal of not being a reader. Pls add something useful pls thats not much too ask?
Touch arcade forums have a very handy feature called "search". Use it. The keywords "wave 30" in this thread may be of particular interest to you. If you don't want to take the time to read the thread, fine. But don't expect us to want to take the time to help you.
Why do you bite the hand that feeds you? The [not so] subtle ad hominems aren't helping your case of being the bigger man. I've literally JUST done everything you've asked for, including cping the strategy to you in a nice box marked "Quote".
I appreciate the reply, but again there no tactics, and the search feature does not bring anything useful again leading to me asking if anyone has useful tactics, Elsa has been the helpful on here, even your post seemed like your being waaay to sensitive lmao i read this thread all the time, and yes not everyone had time to read every post all the time for shits sake. So please no more drama queens, a straight response is always appreciated.
Again...... Im not asking about wave 30 being MENTIONED, i was wondering if any of the experienced smarter players had come up with some tactics, real tactics. I posted one on 154 and i think its one of the best ones used but is a huge grind, so yeah...again....just wanting tactics. No matter, im sure one of the guys will nail it soon and post some useful help before an update makes it easier?
Experienced, smarter player reporting in. Get 4 greybeards and 3 elf snipers. Get ground fodder units, elephant, paladin, giant, lion guard, knights, captains, elf warriors, it doesn't matter too much, whatever you have upgraded. Delay the siege units until your 3 elves kill all the trolls. You don't have to even do anything with your hero. This is hardly a "huge grind". You need to stop being so passive-aggressive, it is very difficult to respect you.
Exactly what the Bestiary says.. upgraded walls, researched walls.. all othwr researches were unit bonuses. Stacked pathfinders, elven archers, mages. BOOM. Take care of all the light work, keep spawning these guys. so far only successful way I've had. Scarwood is a different beast.. multiple ways I've beaten it.
I beat wave 30 with a 20 something pally. I just stunned the big groups of trolls and let snipers and frost wizards hit them from the wall (with 2 graybeards) and 3 pathfinders. Then I just spammed fire wizards. I might have had a knight or two but they didn't do much. It did take me 4 tries to beat it, while I had beaten every other wave first try once I got captains.
I'm pleasantly surprised by you handling this so well and still being helpful. I was expecting a full on drama war when turning to this page. Alexythimia23, behave yourself.
Change of topic, but just got done crafting a legendary double offense mod rune, a +20 dmg +12% crit, not the best but I'll take it! Wouldn't recommend it guys, $20 is little considering the amount of rerolls I needed. I'd say if you were to attempt to try and get one completely "legit", it'll cost you $200-400. I think there needs to be a tweak to the rune crafting, since double mod > rarity for the most part. I think higher rarity runes should spawn double mods more often. The way it stands, a lot of low rarity double mod runes > high rarity single mod runes, so in that sense rune rarity is sort of a moot determining factor. However, this was the same way in HC1, so I guess it's ok. Still, I'm left with a bit of sour taste. I figured $20 was plenty to get me something I like, nope. Tried again, nope. Rinse and repeat 15+ times and ahhh, I got one! Double mod spawn rates seem to be ~1/4, maybe less, in my observation. There are a lot more rune perks than armor perks, so the combinations increase quite fast. Getting 2 mods is tough, getting 2 mods you want is quadratically tougher. If you explicitly wanted +20dmg, +25 melee damage... good luck!
^Yeah a couple Ice Mages, 3 snipers and 4 graybeards work well in Wave 30. The main purpose of the Ice mage is the AOE stun. It's huge, and the duration is pretty long. You'll basically have about 10 trolls a few meters off your wall stunned and they never get too close to attack the wall. Of course you'll need your pathfinders with your damage dealers on the ground to take them out in an optimum scenario.
Yup... Im basically using more 2-stat Epics than i use Legendaries, and the only 2 legendary runes i use are 2-stats as well.
Is there a "best" rune in this game? Like in H&C1 it was definitely +2 gold/s. Are the runes in this game more balanced so there isn't a best one, but they are rather fit for specific play-styles? Why have you been going for the damage runes? Are there runes that give command points per second? What's the highest starting command points you can get with a rune? I haven't gotten into rune crafting yet, because it seems I should rather focus on weapons/armor first.
