Finally moved back to levelling my lvl 4 dwarf after getting a rare spear. He's already very fun to use, as you have to be tactical with your strikes since you can't block for long and the dash is very short. Is ferocity worth it? The damage sounds amazing but some people seem to think getting max armor is more important. Also, 1 defence takes off 1 hit point from physical damage received, right?
If you're planning on respeccing and you're going for damage it could help a bit, but I still think there's always better choices. I wouldn't stress it much either way though. Endgame you're gonna want the +armor skills and gear. 100 armor is pretty ideal, and stupidly easy to get as a dwarf. Only alternative is running 0 armor and mega health armor, and getting reckless as well. I'd find that foolhardy tho since dwarves don't have +health skills. Armor completely negates a LOT of the damage in this game outright. People say it's useless because endgame enemies have so much AP, but you can't focus on those guys if EVERYTHING hits you. Those archers I don't see anymore? Ya, they're a problem again.
I'm playing a berzerker now and it's an insanely fun class to play. While I will probably focus more on armor until I reach about level 40, later you get passives that heal you by taking damage and by killing enemies. If you'll rather focus on armor later on, you won't be able to have as much max. health and you won't be able to heal that fast either. Not to even mention that you won't get damage buffs because of all the armor. If you're playing aberzerker you should also research lead foot, so you won't get knocked back and knocked down.
It depends. Some Dwarves builds need 0 armor and they love to be hit, the more the merrier. If you go to a more Engineer or Runesmith build then surely armor might help in epic and long battles.
I like Engineer, low armor, super high mobility... zip arpund the map with a sniper rifle, mines, bombs It's close to the Sniper Wasp I always wanted in Bug Heroes 2. haven't got an armor that is high mobility/med armor yet Or I'd wear that
Upgrade the Resolve skill (gives armor). You can also dip into the runesmith skill tree for more armor.
I think it's a preference thing. I don't see the point in giving up a lot of survivability for more dps. I leveled from 1-20 so far with my dwarf and he's annihilating everything with my human's weps. I'm doing the surrender-wave-30 trick and defending outposts with him with no problems. Once I get dps skills in there his damage will be through the roof, and it's already sufficient. I can already tell my goal will be high armor through skills, and health/mobility armor. Why buff dps on a char that can obliterate everything already, at the cost of a ton of survivability?
If you playing Berzerker mostly, then you didn't understand your character. 0 armor means more hits/damage taken that will boost dps ,survivability(invulnerability and/or heals) and movement speed. For that class, I'd say: hp>defense>armor. For other races or characters combinations, I would also prefer survivability over more dps, though.
Don't worry, we're definitely aware of that... trying to get a good balance for ALL heroes, no matter the level. Our original vision was to have skills give only minor stat buffs and focus more on utility, with equipment giving the majority of stats. Right now some of the numbers are just out of whack. If anything, a lot of the changes will slightly buff lower level heroes Its actually a scaling % as you acquire more equipment (doesn't matter if you sell it or not). This is to ensure that you don't get legendaries right off the bat and are set for the rest of the game. At max crafting %, legendaries are a 3% chance. Initially its 0%, and after several equipment crafts its a 1% chance. There are some other rules that are applied if you buy an IAP (as those players clearly don't care as much about natural progression). The rarity of found equipment is based on a different %, based on your campaign progress... which I just found out is bugged, doh >_< Not sure yet... Close Its actually 3 ping pong balls + a random chance for a "supercharge" modifier. Basically this applies another ping pong ball to any stat, which buffs it further. however, it also applies a random "red" ping pong ball which will lower one or both of the other stats by just as much... so technically its not a buff, just a way to get even higher in one stat (but again lower in another). time will tell. like i said i'm only 20 with the dwarf atm. i know what you're talking about and i understand the possible synergy, but saying "i don't understand the character" is a bit absurd. i don't build characters the way the developer intends me to build characters... i build characters that try to go beyond that. the only make-or-break for me is how important it is to have the movement speed. i'll basically have the same HP as a no-armor dwarf, i'm just not trading armor for dps. i still get the benefits of berserk when dmg gets through. the only thing your build has over mine is a bit of extra dps, which i think is superfluous. i'd rather take every point of armor in the 2 other trees than spec reckless/ferocity, which is all we're really talking about here. my armor will still be high health armor, like you said. i just won't get whittled down by all the stupid things like arrows and bombs, and won't have to necessarily depend on lead foot. edit: all of this is subject to change with the second update of course. I think reckless is underpowered atm, but if it got enough of a buff i'd consider a different build. same with the lower-health-more-dps skill... that's pretty bleh to me right now.
The adrenaline rush in the berzerker skill tree doesn't show the proper upgrade. The description is: Every 25% health lost, unleash a knocking blast and get +50% speed for 10s. And under upgrade it always says +50% speed, when in fact "health-lost" is lowered by 3-2%. Still under construction, but we're working on it!
Any eta on this patch? I am not downloading for my iPad mini 3 until this patch lands and I hear the game is stable.
2:1:1 ratio means the game weighs hp as being of less value than the other two attributed, so point you roll in hp is worth twice as much as arm/mob. edited: snip. confirmed 3 balls + one egg instead of 4 balls
I like the way people makes predictions without even playing. For example, our mathematician assumed that Elves couldn't get compared with any other race/class, without really playing the other two. It seems to me that having a level 20 dwarf (it tells how much you played) and saying that my build will only be 'slightly better at dps' is too daring. I haven't oriented my build on dps, fyi. Through taking damage/hits I can get not only more dps but more survivability than a high armored one. With low or none damage taken one cannot trigger the best of a berzerker. Thats a common thing in all the games that have a berzerker/barbarian class. Said that, you can do whatever you want, but you didn't understand your character. Thats not absurd. Absurd is to play a Ranger with a sword, a Paladin without heals... Or...
a quick question in here. does hero leveling up experience increase by actually participating more in battle? if i just sit back and let my soldiers do the work, will i not gain XP?
