I agree in that I don't really want to read about exploits here. It seems Apple is lazy and patches take forever so please don't ruin the game in the meantime. I don't care what people do offline, but think about the online mode.
Man in this thread im reading some crazy stuff?? Im reading about people getting over 500 crystals in 2 days???!! I played this 3 days in a row, and all day, with the bonus 5 crystals every 10 match and i got no where near this!! I have also purchased iap of about a 1000 crystals and now everything i have is levelled up, walls, and units to the max. I never spend money like this on a game, but these are my faivroute devs and i wanted to support them, also its an amazing game. P.s even with all this firepower how the hell do i beat level 30!!! Its the giants at the end that get me, i used several pathfinders, elven archers to stun, fire mage for high damage and knights, with my archers at full with a greybeard but i still got decimated 3 times in a row! Any tips??
Nobody is ruining the game for anyone. You don't have to use the exploit if you don't want to. And about multiplayer; it doesn't work properly yet anyway due to some connection stability issues. And anyone who bothers to read trough skill descriptions can pretty much know about the exploit(s). The upcoming patch will fix all of this though. But if you want to boost your character's level, now's the time. None of this will affect multiplayer imbalances in the long run. Just using the right units won't be enough in wave 30. You'll have to use your hero and strategies on how to beat the level depend on your class. Wave 30 is not supposed to be this hard, according to the developers, anyway.
Elsa have you beat wave 30 yet? If so what strategies do you reccomend or did you win with? Even though i have awesome research powers and my knight is level 32 its so hard #
Nope, I have not beat it yet because then I won't be able to farm crytsals anymore. I came very close though (to 3 or 2 trolls left) and surrendered. I used a paladin and all I did was wait until the trolls came to my last wall (I was protecting this one wall the entire time) and were grouped. Then I just kept using the heavy attack that kept stunning them while the units were taking care of them.
Wow that is amazing 3 trolls left!!? Id have cried, i have my walls and wall cannons maxed, and all my units yet they are decimating me #### So i went into the bestiary to see there weakness, and watta u know? It did jack-shit...and jack left town so was just left with shit lol i have stun runes also to aid me slowing down the big bastards, to lay some serious damage with the fire mages and my maxed super sword power which is like 700% plus damage yet its taking about 5-6 of these full on attacks to take out one"........but i am going to keep trying!
Apologies. I suppose I was in the mindset of everyone being on equal footing, but that doesn't make any sense when it comes to breaking the game. I have edited my post to remove content if you would so kindly yours. @thread: Any thoughts of multiple item trading? Could force an iCloud save after a trade to avoid abuse. I've just got a legendary staff but nobody to use it on. I'm sure someone else can use it.
Done. Item trading is an old request from H&C1, it would be really cool. It has been requested many times and FM is aware of that but I don't think we'll get that feature.
Cleave is a separate chance; anything that affects a stat is listed as such. Defense is a % of damage blocked + an extra -1 damage per 7 points of defense. Also, we're reworking a lot of damage passives across the board. You'll see more static damage buffs (+x damage) as opposed to % buffs; % buffs tend to favor late game heroes heavily (as their stats are higher) and can get out of whack when they start stacking all over the place across different skill trees. The % weapon buffs for ex are unfair as they give higher damage weapons (like swords and axes) more of a bonus than things like maces and staffs, and again barely give a bonus to low level equipment (a 50% buff on a 3 damage mace is pretty much worthless, for ex). Everything will have its same role, but there should be a greater balance. Also retuned the stat buffs with a more mathematical equation to make sure they're more equal. I've also gone back through every ability and tweaked them to be more in line with their tier... which means some T1 nerfing and some T4 buffing. Most are minor, but important tweaks. Ive also gone back through and added and tweaked some thing to some of the more underwhelming abilities. And yes, it is intended that Ferocity -armor is applied on top... that's kind of the point. You can't bypass that ability's detriment. Re: Ice Rune, we seemed to have forgotten to add it to the description, but it stuns as well. Been in Apple's hands for about a week >_< Hopefully any day now! There will still be some exploits after the 1st update I think. We had to rush that one out to fix the crashing, and some exploits only came up after we submitted. I think this 2nd update will be quite a bit more of a substantial balance update.
Time for some wiki-bumpin' again. So I did that thing I sometimes do with Foursaken games, and created a wiki for Heroes & Castles 2. The game is certainly deep and broad enough to warrant a centralized, dedicated source of gameplay info and discussion, with capabilities beyond a TA thread. Given that the game has only been out for two weeks, and you'll be playing for months before looking up from your device, there is still much to be added to the wiki. But Elsa has done tremendous work to fill the wiki with info of all sorts, from general advice to specific info on enemies, equipment, classes, missions and progression elements. But there are only so many hours in a year. We could do with help in adding both the elementary and the advanced, tot to mention strategy guides and tactical advice, the true meat of any game wiki. And this is where you fellas come in Here it be, the Heroes & Castles 2 wiki. Foursaken have even said that should the wiki grow enough, and work well enough, they are even going to link to it from within the game. A few notes: Please read the Talk section of the main page (little button labelled 'Talk' near the top of the page, below the nav bar), for some basic editing advice and wikia practice and netiquette. If yer new to the still surprisingly non-user-friendly world of wikis and Wikia, check the talk page as well, for some links to basic editing and contribution help. Tweaks to the graphical profile the wiki are very welcome (perhaps especially the background, logos, and replacing the wiki content meny on the front page with cheerful icons). If no one more graphically talented steps up, I will eventually see to it myself Come one, come all. And holler if you feel particularly active and edit-ive, and I'll throw admin privilegies at ya (bundles with the weight of the world and terrible, harrowing burdens).
Ok so I've been curious about itemization and done a LOT of weapon crafting. Like, probably 10k crystals worth (not legit, but... Science!) I've noticed that 2h weapons have some sort of flaw in their damage calcs when they get to epic/legendary status. They're fine up to rare. Other people are talking about 130dmg ones but I just crafted my first one at 90dmg a bit ago, rest aren't even close. Could be RNG I guess but then I got this: 2h weps aren't rolling like they're supposed to in the epic/leg range. their damage goes down, not up. Edit: well I guess that's possible if the -stam mod were high enough, but... Wow. Let me rephrase then: The weight of the +ap +crit and -stam mods seem far higher than +dmg mods for epic/leg 2hers, which seems bizarre. IMO most 2hers should roll with high dmg and either 1-2 of the secondary stats or some more damage. With the low dmg high secondary mods being the oddity, not the norm.
Yeah, that scenario right there is a bug - probably one of the most rare equipment rolls you can find In this case you got a super unlucky (and bugged) situation where you rolled a stamina buff, then an EXTRA double stamina buff counteracted by a damage debuff, which brings it down to 0 at epic or legendary currently. After the second update that weapon will have 22 damage, 0 stamina per attack, and +42% attack speed - so it will be quite a nasty weapon Also keep in mind, Damage doesn't necessarily go up with each higher rarity... The good part is that these weapons aren't stuck like this... if you keep them they'll be updated with appropriate fixed stats once the 2nd update hits.
Ya figured it was something like that. See the edit above plz! I understand you're making changes, but for 2hers, seriously consider unnerfing their high damage since you're changing skills to +dmg instead of %dmg. I mean I get why you didn't want a bunch of high damage 2hers in the game before now, but look at it again with the skill changes. As the other guy said, atm all other 2hers seem to roll as REALLY crappy scythes.
Where are you getting nerfed 2 handers from? If you get a damage draw a 2 handed sword will deal +108 damage, highest in the game. I believe you can actually get a +146 damage sword if you get a rare double damage roll (but it will have -attack speed).
Sword maybe? It might be observer bias but in my experience the vast majority of 2hers are inferior scythes, with fairly low damage but mediocre secondary stats. I just think the chance of getting the dmg mods are too low. They should be weighted higher, to give the weapons a sense of identity. I guess the idea is to give them identity in the second patch besides just having damage... So I guess I'll just hope the itemization is indeed that much nicer in the future.
