1. An epic longbow with 60 damage, fast attack speed. Never really found anything better. 2. The monster you were attacking had high ARM. You'll need a higher AP stat to get higher chances of hitting for damage instead of clanging on metal. 3. Armor piercing. Chance of hitting through enemy's armor. 4. Up to you, but you'll have to adjust the summons you make to make up for what you cant do. Personally, i'd go physical damage, because i love elven snipers+mages much.
Exact-Psience have you tried out a pure Druid build. If you do may I ask what is your build and how good is it compare to other pure damage class
I dont understand what your reasoning is for #4, how does physical damage work better with snipers and mages?
Its up to personal preference. However magic does not ignore armor, it ignores defence. Armor is the chance to block an attack, whereas defence lowers the damage taken from an attack.
I agree, that skill is very redundant. When it becomes available you 1-3 hit kill enemies anyway, so no player will care if a mere 300 HP enemy has less than 77 HP left.
If you put all the graphics on low and airplane mode and so on, I guess it might play good, but don't know for sure, it crashes all the time anyway
I wanna take back what I said about swords being the best. End game items, because of the availability of +damage mods, you can potentially get +50 damage from runes, +25 from armor, and at least another 25+ from any of the 3 class skills. That puts your base damage at at least 100 base damage. At this point, crits are the best way to improve damage, even a 5 damage 50% crit scythe is MUCH better than a 70 damage 1 hand sword. I haven't been able to find any other high crit weapons besides scythes (40%+). However, I don't think any class has +scythe skills, so there's that.
Unfortunately, in a game like this, this is as game breaking as it gets. It's not a shortcut it's a straight up exploit. Maybe I shouldn't blame anyone, but if you were given the release build and said you couldn't find anything wrong with it, then I blame you. Also, there's floating trees and buggy rocks in a lot of areas (since they are copy-pasted). It's like none of the testers bothered taking a stroll trough an area and yet, were boasting how you were level 99 in the beta (not pointing fingers).
Axe is the other high crit weapon. Scythe uses massive stamina, which is its biggest drawback. There may be some roots slightly jutting out of the ground but I don't recall ever hearing about or seeing any floating trees... And what does "buggy rocks" mean? I think it was you that mentioned getting hit when behind a rock but I looked around at all those levels and couldn't seem to find it... Also, anything wrong with the game is our responsibility - the testers did a great job.
Great game, but I do have to chime in with the chorus about how broken the GM elf is. I don't think my gear is particularly good, but I leveled a GM to the low 30s in a few hours, completed level 30 despite the siege troll bug (killing many of them myself), and soloed the last four levels without summoning anything on my first try. My paladin is still a higher level, but had no chance on level 30 and took way longer to handle any of the other levels. Also, I have to ask... FM, is "Desecated Swamp" a misspelling of Dessicated or a typo of Desecrated?
I think heightened sense is being nerfed so you can't chain it. It's similar to Juggernaut against monsters, making you essentially immune, except it's only 40 mana for 30 seconds. In the current patch, that's 10 mana for 30 seconds. Combined with the mana skill, you have permanent time slow. But that's being changed in the upcoming patch.
Actually, by the time I made my run on the castle, I pretty much only needed to call Heightened Sense once, when I was first approaching and wanted to draw fire. After that, I could rely on blocking/dodging to put me back into matrix mode. Wait, I might've called it again when I was in the castle, but that was mostly because I wanted to get the level over fast and needed to build up charge before attacking the crystal. The elf definitely is squishy when something gets through, but that seems to be an unusual occurrence.
Of course you can't blame your volunteer testers. But I can Don't get me wrong though, this is still one of my favourite games. But I do wish that I hadn't picked it up on release and waited for the first patch instead. Because I've been playing this pretty much 24/7 and when I didn't play I was working on the H&C2 wikia site. And no, someone else mentioned that he got shot trough houses, not rocks (I think). Screens of the floating trees and buggy rocks:
one of my reports: 1)... 2) just for info, It is possible to destroy the enemy's castle 'crystal' in siege missions by a Ranger from within the castle (or from afar if there's no castle to hide in). It's not even needed to destroy their walls FM response: 1. ... 2. Yes, but ranged weapons are particularly poor at destroying buildings and have several extra building debuffs... In other words it would take quite a long time. (dedicated to Elsa)
Having a 99 Human and 99 dwarf, I can say that both are almost indestructible, playing really long long endless/coop games. I can deal 2-5K criticals with my dwarf and I'm still looking for a good weapons/armor/rune combination, so I haven't yet finished with him. Having most of heroes at high or medium levels, in terms of fun and performance I pick melee dwarf
Could someone please let me know how I can counter the orcs that ride around on horses/wargs and swing axes. They move so quickly, so I can't hit them, and I haven't yet found the right unit to counter them. Thank you.
Some tips: Don't like the exploits? DONT USE THEM The floating tree issue is obviously not affecting everyone. Nor are the crashes. I for one have not experienced either. There are around 15 supported iOS devices with several graphics settings which amounts to a ton of different scenarios. This doesn't even account for the infinite amount of "play styles". It is impossible for all issues to be caught by a small sample of people, especially with a large game supported on many devices.
