I've been surrendering in the main wave as well. I own all lands and so I get 3.1 Crystals per Battle. Passing time really pays off. Not to even mention all the treasures that are popping up. I'm not even defending any outpost. Once it gets taken, I just take it back, since it's ways easier and faster to win a siege.
Cheap tactics everywhere Level 29, surrendering main waves, downloading iCloud savegame over and over... I hope FM can tackle or reduce that.
Touché! I was aware of that early on in beta but never reported. It seems to have no solution or hard one because of the way game is designed. For example, iCloud savegame exploit comes from H&C1. Fortunately, We've got rid of kitting
Don't worry, I think we have caught a lot of exploits Some of them unfortunately don't have any solution.. There are also still some bugs from the beta version (like blocking with shields cancels casting of a spell)
fake pro tip: push bannerman inside castle walls. full pro tip: push them away from walls, so they will focus them instead of walls In addition: Catapults and cannons can be pushed inside walls too; trolls can be merged altogether; goblin meds can be pushed closer to walls so Ice Mages can take care of them; elven healers can be taken to the middle of the map so they will heal the whole army... (H&C1 old school style)
I made a Caster Knight build and it's a pretty strong build. He cant auto-attack much coz my greatsword requires 26 STA per swing, but with a very high base damage bonus of +120, the knight's first skill can one-shot a lot of things, even the bases. Added in the Mage's Arcane Magic (for mana sustain) and the Paladin's Divine Intervention (to heal allies). With a few red guards following you plus your other units (you can run back to the bannermen) use Arcane Magic and heal them up with Divine Intervention you have an unlimited pool of mana. Im levelling up a bit more to learn Paladin's Holy Shield so i can keep allies alive for very long in endless runs. The only problem i see is that the game would crash before it gets too long. Hopefully the bump in difficulty spikes in the next update for endless will balance this.
Pushing the opponents cultists and the opponent himself into a cluster and then just keep seal-clubbing them all to death. Oh, the good old days.
One thing that kind of breaks the game for me: a human knight can become invincible via juggernaut for a good amount of time. This enables a player to go straight to the walls, destroy it and then destroy the inner tower and you won. No tactics nothing
Let's wait for the upcoming update. But yes, perma invincibility, so no block or dash (or any sign of skilled play) are needed. Same goes for Elven matrix (or Knight matrix). All that is supposed to be addressed in the update.
@Foursaken: I think you should mention in skill descriptions wether a skill only works if a melee weapon is equipped. For example the Grandmaster skill Offensive Stance doesn't work with a bow. I had to learn it the hard way. But just judging from the description ("when the block bar is full for 5 seconds") it should work. I know you can't block with bows, but the block bar is displayed as full. Now I'm not sure if other passives work with bows or not. It's much harder to find out if there's no visual indicator like Offensive Stance has.
Yeah i tried it too. It doesnt work with weapons that CAN NOT BLOCK. It makes sense, but i also think the description needs to reflect that too.
Absolutely loving this game! Does anyone if they're items that improve run speed? I've dropped a few dollars to support the dev and truly think this gem is long term for me. I play on the iPhone 6 since I sold my ipad2. The touch screen controls are tight I just think it's a bit slow. I use the run a lot but would love a bit more speed. So are there any items in game that give some run speed?
I think Grandmaster's Cleave, too, doesn't work with ranged attacks. Even though it is at 50%, I can't cut through magic-resistant enemies with a magic bow. Didn't test normal bows yet. Quickstrike doesn't like bows either.
strange. everyone says this game is better on an iPad. i played on such and its harder for me. the tighter controllers on the smaller screen make it quicker for me to do things. i may have tiny hands though, like a small otter or wombat.
