Well part of beta was spent farming crystals and trying to get armor with good stats then finding cool looking armor and merging them together.
Yeah the no mana regen during a skill duration is going to be a pain to be more honest probably the cooldown route should be used instead for an example i really depend on heighten sense for my grandmaster in tight situations but i already have to be careful when to use it because it cost 40 mana points. At best with my mana regen i can use the skill maybe twice in a minute ? then i have to duke it out till i hit 40 again. Not having the standard mana regen will make my grand master a bit more unplayable since I've invested skill points towards duration based skills. Also i am not able to also play co op multiplayer with my friend at all ( I've played with him in HOC 1 fine with no issues )
So i take it that means that this is the case??! I hope this gets sorted in an update, i spent alot of money on this game £20 english pounds because im enjoying so much and wanted to see what weapons i could get, but after spending 150 crystals to get a decent sword, well to say i was dissapointed was an understatement. I guess this is my one gripe with the game, loot is not very impressive for stats, i mean how the hell is my common sword git better statts and more perks then a rare or epic weapon?! Just does not make sence. But that said i still love the game and it does not spoil it in anyway, just nice to have the loot more apprpriatley numbered.
Just got the skill that allows a Paladin to knock back enemies if you run into them. I almost regreted it, but then I got to play football with a dead spider after the battle ended. My life is now complete.
"He holds the spider fast in his grip, ready to run it to the enemy keep... The horde of skeletons try to catch up to him, but that paladin is just too quick for them! He hits the keep... He pushes it in... TOUCHDOOOOOOOOOWN!"
Well, I guess it is good to know it isn't just them and Gamecenter is still being awful. Not sure what they can do it about then, which might be more depressing haha.
where did you guys find a cape? i am a paladin with the imbued cape perk but i need to find a cape first.
Some armore have them, you will know when u see it. I could be wrong, but if your current character is a paladin, it will increase the likelihood of paladin related accessories: capes, weapons, etc. Typically, i never get staffs, but i made a human mage (10 pts all in mage), and now when i generate weapons, i see a lot more staffs than normal. Good luck!
hi. do you mean when i go to blacksmith i choose craft armor? it creates the helmet right? i tried like 20 rolls and got only helmets.
Capes are high-end gear. Think epic/legendary. But rare to roll one. Armor that has a cape on it counts, but good luck finding some. Similar question: what's with the Knights "armor set" bonus? I put a point in and no bonus to AR, but I have no idea what would actually count as an "armor set"
thanks. is the attached a "cape?" haha... it's kind of furry. i rolled another 20 for a total of 40 armors and that's the closest thing. i also found what looked like a sack behind the paladin.
A full 'set' would include the suit itself, a helmet, pauldrons, and I would THINK the cape slot as well, but I'm not so sure. I know it includes the helm and pauldron attachments, and that's about all I can think of.
You're not supposed to counter hammer knights with heavy attacks really... you should be blocking when they charge up their attacks, then hit them when they're on cooldown. You can try summoning Iron Helms and Riflemen while staying near your walls (the riflemen will attack the hammer knights, and the Iron Helms thick armor makes them hard for hammer knights to take down - whereas they will chew through footmen like butter). You can also run behind your castle walls at any time to de-aggro them. But yeah, I definitely wouldn't describe this as a casual game. But the Mercenaries are there exactly to help ease you through if you can't beat a specific wave (maybe you'll have more success at wave 9?). The Mercs come if you only lose twice, so its not like they're there only when its impossible to beat... they're there to help you whenever you may need the help. 1) not currently. May add a max mana rune. 2) we considered all those options Not a fan of cooldown right now. We'd likely put the regen to half rate before adding cooldowns. You haven't even tried it yet And if the entire fun of the game was tied to the cooldowns of a handful of abilities, then I think we messed up somewhere... If it ends up being a disaster in the eyes of most players, we'll change it or tweak it. Right now from our tests I think it promotes more interesting strategies and ends up balancing the skills and classes better - more like how they were intended. It also makes mixing of some of the classes more interesting (like a mage/paladin, for example). Most of the duration abilities are better than the attacking ones anyway (often by a long shot), or at least have potentially a bigger impact in battles when used appropriately. I think the route we'd likely take first is to buff the duration abilities as needed. Don't get me wrong, it WILL definitely be a change, but we'll see how it goes. I think the biggest thing is people will miss unlimited chaining of overpowered duration abilities Also, you're exaggerating a bit... most of the classes have 2 duration abilities and 2 active abilities, even offensive minded ones like knight and berzerker (i know grandmaster has 3 - but some of his abilities may be redundant in certain situations), so it affects most classes about equally. Also you were complaining about Engineer - he only has 1 duration ability, and it too is super powerful in certain situations. And again, most duration abilities needed toning down anyway. As it is, I've never once heard someone say any of the instant use abilities were OPed So you think Druid and RuneSmith will all of the sudden be underpowered now? Druids have a significant mana bonus (+50 max, enough for a whole new skill being cast instantly), and runesmith is already very powerful. Stalwart Defense for example should cost 55 mana... its ridiculously powerful in the right scenarios, with +900% damage on things like elven snipers, maxed out pikemen, etc, you can wipe out almost anything... besides, if those 2 classes end up being UPed, we'll tune them accordingly. Any other classes you think will be UPed? Also, on why I don't want cooldowns... The thing with the system we added is, it makes you think about your entire bank of mana and skills, and which to use at what times. Cooldowns on the other hand promote cycling through abilities because you have no other option but to use the next available skill. In fact, cooldowns promotes getting as many active abilities as possible so you can fire through them all. For ex with the current system, you could use Holy Shield twice in a row if you had 100 mana for a super long chain. Or, you could use Holy Shield and then any other ability during or after. With cooldowns, you have no choice but to use a different ability after Holy Shield is done... that is less options, any way you slice it.
Nah, actually an armor set is anything.. the stat just isn't updated in the stats screen (some technical reason why - can't remember). In fact any % based buff isn't shown there, but its getting applied in battle.
Stuck on stage 9...using all the troops the game recommends but the ridiculous numbers of Orc warriors and Archers stops me dead in my tracks. I wish this game had an easy mode for people like me who don't feel like spending 30+ minutes to beat one level
Huh. I guess I just haven't noticed such buff until I got a set with Pauldrons and a helm. I should probably quit talking outta my arse, though, but thanks for the clearup on that. Also, this may sound like a stupid question, but are you guys gonna tweak the fog to be less dense, by any chance? I find it extremely difficult to deal with a lot of stuff (Especially enemies with Charges, like Hammer Knights, Spiders, stuff of the sort) with Fog, and honestly, it makes the treasure gathering a pain in the arse. Although, on the other hand, this is just me we are talking about here.
